The first clips from Harold Ramis‘ upcoming Biblical comedy Year One debuted during the Superbowl telecast.

The film stars Jack Black and Michael Cera as two men searching for meaning in their life during year number one. They end up influencing some famous biblical stories including that of Cain and Abel, as seen in the below clip. The two brothers are played by Paul Rudd and David Cross.

Enjoy; it’s pretty damn funny.

I think everyone is definitely picking up a Life of Brian-vibe from this flick, and I think it’s about time someone tried to bring Monty Python’s style of humour back to the big screen. I’m just hoping it’s not too derivative. Check out the short TV spot below, and let us know what you think.

Year One is due for release June 18th in Australia. And yes, it is also produced by Judd Apatow.

P.S – Is it just me, or does Michael Cera always look like a puppy that just had his snout smacked with a rolled up newspaper.
