The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.

  • Hmm, i loved Renner in this, but it sorta needed to be a stand alone film, not a follow-on from Ultimatum... a little disappointed the score wasn't as awesome as the other films.... only in the credits? ah well. good action. 3 stars.

  • i agree with others, they should of stopped with ultimatum. This one features way too many scenes from previous movies (budget must have been low), and it seemed like the same character with different name, but doing the same thing. Rogue agent taking on the system. Least with the bourne character you got the storyline too.

  • I really think they should have stopped with Ultimatum. Maybe this movie would have been better as a stand alone with a slightly altered script as it wasn't bad... it just wasn't a good "Bourne" movie. Disappointed Bourne fan.

  • Loved Damon's roles, but Renner takes over well. Continued from when the last when finished. Cant wait for the next installment.

  • I'm sure anyone who was a fan of the Bourne series prior to this will like this movie. It was my introduction to the series and I couldn't watch it all. There isn't a clear good guy or bad guy here, just lots of people trying to kill each other.
