Souder, a homicide detective in a small Texan town, and his partner, transplanted New York City cop Detective Heigh, track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims' mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call 'The Killing Fields'. Though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on solving the gruesome murders. Despite his partner's warnings, he sets out to investigate the crimes. Before long, the killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When familiar local girl Anne goes missing, the detectives find themselves racing against time to catch the killer and save the young girl's life.

  • I enjoyed this film, not the greatest and slow in parts but the story was told well and the acting was good. The characters were all so different but it tied in well. Worth a look see.

  • very drawn out and hard to follow, it could have been good but didn't deliver'

  • Don't bother, this movie is a real yawn. I'm a true crime buff but this movie was so dull I can't even recall the details and I only watched it two nights ago. Neither the acting nor the story line did anything for me. I've only allocated one star because I have to.

  • This movie s based on a series of actual unsolved serial murders which have been occurring from the 1970's along a stretch of highway between Houston and Galveston in Texas. It must be 'loosely' based because if you watch any documentary on the cases, there are a lot of differences. I agree, Worthington cannot do an American accent, and to me, it's one of the easiest anyone could do. We have all grown up on American television shows, so you would think it would almost be a piece of cake.

  • I agree with Jason
