  • You kind of expect a certain Tone to a movie directed and written by Woody Allen - funny or not. Interesting a New Yorker writing about a cockney sounding family with sons played by an Irishman and Scotsman with their best cockney accents... Locale is vague and some of the situations a bit forced and stereotypical. What I found interesting was how the two brothers (both driven by greed)reacted very differently - they may well have moved on without trace with their lives had the brother played by Colin Farrell (who got them into trouble in the first place by succumbing to a big gambling debt) had not succumbed to admittedly fairly normal feelings of guilt... but it's the other brother played by Ewan McGregor who really surprised me... he was able to shrug off those pangs of guilt completely. He wasn't going to let them get in the way of his plans!

  • Predictable plot, formulaic situations. There is no humor, no wit. It is a simplistic morality tale for Sunday school children, complete with implications of "crossing the line" established by a moral order in the universe. Its worst fault is being so superficial. Good score by Philip Glass.

  • A good story with great actors. No car chases or explosions, just a good solid Drama.

  • Oh dear. That was not very good. Maybe my expectations where too high?

  • Found it quite boring, kept watching and waiting for the film to pick up ... but i didn't was boring throughout.. Good acting by Will and Colin - shame it was a boring storyline..
