  • As good today as the day it was made - 1966. Set in the period of the Mexican Revolution which is a little later than most "westerns" the film is nevertheless a fine example of the genre and a great example of filmaking at its best. with every aspect excellently attended to. The sets, spectacular scenery, actors and music are outstanding, the story well plotted and there is a nice twist at the end. For me this ranks with the very best of westerns. Entertainment plus. Four and a half stars.

  • Great Western and with the high calibre of actors, who wouldn't enjoy it.

  • Good movie - they made good westerns in the years gone by.
