A feisty Australian geologist (Sandy) lands the unwanted task of showing a Japanese businessman (Hiromitsu) around the mines and deserts of the Pilbara, with a view to selling his company the unique geology software she has been developing. Hiromitsu meanwhile, mistakes her as his driver, and demands they trek to the desert, blissfully unaware of the dangers. Against the background of this elemental Australian landscape, these two strangers journey further and further into the West Australian desert, leaving more and more of what they know about each other and themselves behind.

  • Faulty disc sent multiple times.

  • Far too drawn out and not really sure what they were trying to say...of course there is a huge cultural difference between Australia and Japan not but it almost made the guy out to be an alien...The scenery is stunning but even that wasn't filmed well.

  • Lovely shots of Australia. Wonderful movie and Toni done it proud. I did enjoy it. A good Australia movie.

  • A lovely heartfelt story. One may believe the ending to be a bit long but it gave Toni Collette a chance to really exhibit her acting skills and it was lovely to see her meeting his wife. Simple but lovely.

  • Not what I was expecting at all. Was wondering where this movie was going and...bamm. Great movie. Great acting. Beautiful scenery. A good watch. Probably not very one's cup if tea tho.
