  • Excellent acting. Gripping story. Unusual, southern American poor setting.

  • Have watched all three discs of season 1 of True Detective. It is a fantastic series with great music and photography but most of all wonderful acting from Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson the two investigators who form a very unlikely partnership which evolves slowly throughout the series. Just brilliant.

  • Well filmed, great musical score, excellent acting and an original approach that reminds me a little of Twin Peaks. I've enjoyed every minute.

  • Truly superb

  • Have watched disk one and am hanging out for the next two. This show is fascinating.. up there with such TV series as 'Breaking Bad', 'Carnivàle' and 'The Sopranos' in terms of writing, atmosphere and character study. I love Cohle's philosophies and world view. So refreshingly honest and on point!
