  • It all ends up a little damp, but some genuinely good characters and weird magical twists keep the interest up.

  • like it

  • See my review for the previous episodes.

  • Legend of the Seeker. Final episodes series 2. It appears that there may be a series 3: fair enough, but the script writers have mucked about with the story from the book(s) that it only resembles the original in parts. I am still unclear as to its targeted audience as it wanders from the science fantasy adventure that it should be to something that is, at times, quasi-erotic. Not that I have anything against eroticism but in this series is jarring.

  • Having read all the books in the series, it's a bit disappointing when the a huge chunk of the original story is so twisted that the writers get themselves in a tangle and become repetitive. If they followed the story line(s) in the book (even loosely) the episodes would be much better. The Americans have a saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'! Series 2 concentrates too much on the after-life of the arch-villain, a character killed at the end of the first series, and becomes boring. The actor playing the role is Ok but no more than that and the books provide many an opportunity to develop other sinister villains so why bother with this story line? Apart from that irritation it is well done.
