Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the South where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage Eastern lands; all the way to the frozen North where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the Kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and Queens, Knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men... all will play 'The Game of Thrones'. The kingdom is in turmoil. Rival families spin webs of political and sexual intrigue to gain control. Murder, conspiracy, betrayal - anything goes in the battle to gain control of the Iron Throne. And in this game, you win or you die!

  • Not as good as it is made out to be

  • Some of the scenes were a bit explicit

  • Don't know what all the fuss was about

  • A very complicated show. You really have to pay attention or you will be lost forever - I had to study the 'family trees' of each house over and over so I knew what was going on. It's a very good storyline but I think there is a little to much pointless sex and gore scenes that add nothing to the story. Plus I find it unlikely that in that Era they used the the profanity they display - our 21st century slang. A bit overdone. Some scenes are very cringe worthy and not a show to watch if you are easily offended. Not sure if I'll watch the other seasons.
