BAFTA winning comedy about the Slough paper-merchant where life is stationery… David Brent (Ricky Gervais) is a petty, pompous boss who thinks he’s the funniest, most popular man in the world. He is wrong. Tim (Martin Freeman) really is popular and funny but the joke is on him, as he’s stuck in the middle of this little world – a world in which he hates everything except the receptionist Dawn. Will Tim escape? Will Dawn choose the right man? And will David Brent ever regret letting a film crew into The Office..

What can you say about David Brent and his team at Wernham Hog? Just absolute comic genius and everyone surely knows a boss like David Brent. This DVD covers episodes 1 -6 of the first series and it is packed with awkward silences and withering looks from Brent, Gareth, Tim, Dawn and filthy Chris Finch. Rent it today and you will not be disappointed.

One of the most original comedy series I've seen. It is so close to real life it hurts. And yes, Slough really is that grey. Worth also watching the extras that come with it for some interesting behind the scenes info.
