The latest edition is a more contemporary version of Victor Hugo's EPIC. The rolls played of Jean-Val-Jean and the persistent inspector are fabulous. Possible this edition is one that non-europeans can better understand from a whole political and social perspective.

Saved from mediocrity by Geoffrey Rush and Liam Neeson, (and somewhat the costumes and sets). Still, worth a watch.

Good story, criminals these days have it so easy these days, during the French revolution people go to jail just for stealing a loaf of bread and pay harshly for it.
