In this hilariously offensive movie, Kazakhstani TV news reporter Borat is dispatched to the United States to make a documentary on the "greatest country in the world." Arriving in New York City with a producer and cameraman in tow, Borat becomes increasingly interested in locating and marrying Pamela Anderson than on his assignment. En route to Los Angeles, he meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences.

I've always loved Ali G and have considered Sacha Cohen a comic genius, but this is an inconsistent movie of weird extremes. It is incredibly funny in parts but often resorts to totally unnecessary toilet humour and repulsive nudity. It is already a short movie (83 min) but editing out or replacing that ten minutes of rubbish would have made this a comedy classic.

Despite a few humerous moments, Borat really is just too crass to be enjoyable. A waste of two hours.
