The Aviator tells the story of the emotional life of aviation pioneer, Howard Hughes (LEONARDO DI CAPRIO) between the late 1920s to the 1940s. While building his fortune through creating innovative planes and making hugely successful cinematic movies he seemed to have it all. Only when his increasingly erratic, obsessive-compulsive behaviour becomes more than he can handle does he eventually isolate himself from the very world he helped to conquer.

An excellent cast and well directed film. The depiction of Howard Hughes appeared to be an accurate record of his life which was a mixture of genius and obsessive behaviour.

Pretty good - didn't notice the time go by. Blanchett overplayed her role, but Dicaprio (surprising for me) was pretty impressive. Good direction by the boy Scorsese as well.
