Ben Affleck may or may not be in talks to direct Justice League movie

Something very special happened on the internet this week. At almost the exact same moment, websites began to run conflicting stories on Ben Affleck and Warner Bros’ long-proposed Justice League movie.

If you ask Variety, WB want their golden boy Affleck to helm the long-troubled DC team-up flick, which everyone is interested in again following the success of Marvel’s rival Avengers and the conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

Affleck is supposedly the only director who was sent Will Beall’s script, in which Bats, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash team up to fight an evil super-power.

The ever-contrarian Deadline call ‘BS’ on the whole situation, with their sources saying Affleck definitely won’t direct the flick for the studio.

So, at this moment, there is still no Justice League movie. Sigh. But maybe soon?
