I'm a little bewildered by this film... YEMAN. Really. One of the driest countries in the world, currently in a drought which is forcing thousands to move, one of the poorest, without any oil resources (that could ever pay for THIS), with some of the worst human rights violations... including the kidnapping of girls from other countries and forcing them to be brides... Parts of Yeman are beautiful, sure, but ... Did the director get a big map of the middle east and just pick out at... more

Realistic filming of the 1920's prohibition hillbilly "moonshine" era, fascinating time in American history. Great cast quality acting especially by stellar Tom Hardy and the violent/evil Guy Pearce, quality direction. Sub plot of 2 romances involving a young love and two damaged older couples enhanced the storyline. Excellent screenplay and soundtrack by Nick Cave. Brutality & violence... more

A little girl "adopts" a dog that causes havoc in the town supermarket. She and her Pastor dad are new to the place and very quickly become known because of Winn-Dixie, the dog who has won her heart. This is a light hearted fun film that leaves you with a smile on your face.

Easy viewing, not as good as expected but was good to watch on a week night and relax. May have seen it too late in life, might have enjoyed it more as a little girl
