Um. I was a bit disappointed. The film looked cheaply shot - the video rather than film quality made it seem like that. Edward Norton played the two roles convincingly, but it was a kind of nothing sort of film really!

Such a poignant tale of what it may well have been like for those who lost someone in the Twin Towers on the "Worst Day". Everyone was brilliant and that young boy should well and truly have a career ahead of him. Sandra Bullock has really grown as an actor, and she plays the role of the mother very sympathetically and honestly. Can't stop thinking about it.

Having also seen Infamous, which was made around the same time and the same story, I do prefer Infamous, but this is perhaps a more realistic portrayal of Capote, the 'real' man and is more in line with what I habe read about him. I've also read and watched In Cold Blood....it fascinated me as such a pointless and brutal crime...

When you don't really like Renee Zellweger or Russell Crowe, the odds are stacked against you!
I enjoyed the film and felt that the characters were very "real". Crowe played the good husband, good father, man with integrity very well. Zellweger always irritates me with her whiney voice and mannerisms.....played to the hilt in this.
I still enjoyed the fil, however and the boxing was very realistic and gripping although I don't enjoy watching fighting as a rule.

Well, I could hardly call this hilarious! Well acted (although Bette Midler does everything in the same larger than life way whatever role she plays)....I found Helen Hunt unbelievable as a 39 year old. She simply looks older - and she is....and Bette Midler also looks older than the 54 year old she was meant to be..and she is!
Entertaining and sweet film...a little sad at times, but that's life.
I doubt that I would watch this again.

I read the book and saw the movie shortly after. Don't try to compare, but enjoy each in its own right.
Very enlightening and enjoyable. Such a contrast from life in London to life in Bangladesh. Interesting developments in personalities of Chanu and Nazneen and the daughters are Shahanna and Bibi are delightful. Malik is a bit of all right, too!

I was very impressed wtih Guy Pearce's Andy Warhol - the best portrayal I have seen. He was brilliant.
I found the film incredibly sad and had to find out more about Edie Sedgwick. Terrific acting all round. Recommended!

I was old enough (and living in England) to know about this when it happened. It always held a fascination for me because of the fact that a woman had been involved in the murders. I have read a lot about this case and I think that the portrayals in this film are close to the real people (as in the books I have read). Chilling.

I couldn't sleep after watching this. I thought about the "I had a good life" note...but what angst his poor parents went through not knowing where he was ot whether he was dead or alive. It just seemed such irony that he planned to leave and return to "society" and was unable to...and that the only visitors to the area where the "Magic Bus" was came 2 weeks too late. I found it very upsetting and disturbing, and kind of pointless.

Having read that it is comparable to American Beauty, I expected more. I was disappointed....characters (esp mother and teacher) displayed qualiities that seemed incongruent with their personalities......and the father who was so "missed" was so namby pamby and lacking in anything resembling a personality. Hd the potential to be so much more, but it really was a disappointing flop.......so much "hinted at" - eg. the death of the teacher's son and his rocky relationship with his wife, yet neither was explored or disclosed.
