Barely watchable. Terrible story line. Tries to be funny and if it were, that would be its saving grace. Not the worst movie I've seen by far and maybe a younger audience would enjoy it more. I doubt it though.
Last episode of a good series. A lot of these type of anime series' get a little lost in the politics. It's hard to keep up with the political story line and understand it all and then keep up with what is going on with the main characters. This one is no exception and between Volume 6 and 7 I feel I had missed something. Great series though, not in my top ten but high up there.

This movie has been remade over and over and really this movie is more noticable for what it lacks that the others have than anything. P.S. This is the 1993 remake and not the original 1940's one.
The difference in this one is that it is set in a military base which makes the ending 'convenient' and a little less daunting than the others.
Do yourself a favour and see the 1978 version instead with Donald Sutherland. It's made better, story is far more superior and the finale is the best.

This special edition version makes a quality movie almost unbearable as the extra footage is way too long and was taken out for a reason.
The orginal version is much better
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
saw this when I was little and a few times since, classic that should be seen by any sci fi fan (or toto fan)
Make sure you see this version and not the special edition version as the extra footage is way too long and was taken out for a reason
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Whitley Strieber wrote a book called Communion. In that book he was abducted by aliens where he eventually learnt that his gift for writing could be used to alert the world of upcoming global dangers. (he was originally a horror writer, writing such books like 'the hunger') I wonder if this was one of those books written post abduction.
Movie was okay, effects good, better than a lot of other disaster movies.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would which made the movie more enjoyable. Not as much gore as I expected. Almost a tribute to 80's trash horror movies. Found it to be a light hearted horror/comedy romp.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Complete enjoyable, Pixar always come out with something good.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
Great anime series, this aint an anime for boys so don't expect much action.
Watch the Japanese language version as the english dubs on these things are never really worth it.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
This is an all time classic no matter what version you see. Ask anyone on the street what movie scares them the most and half of them will say the Exorcist.
I recommend to fans of this movie to read up on trivia on the book and the movie, there is a lot of it.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
This is a must see for those anime fans that loved 'Spirited away', 'Princess Mononoke', 'Howls Moving Castle', etc. More aimed at a younger audience but the magic is still very much there.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
I enjoyed this movie much more than I thought I would at the start. Great acting on all parts Shirley Maclaine
is wonderous and plays her role great. Jennifer Aniston suprises me, for someone that comes from a sitcom she is starting to look like a very good actor. Good script and by the time the movie was in full swing I found myself captivated.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
One of the best anime series' that there is. Watch the whole series.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
This is a very good series, very original, a must see for anime fans.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
It was okay, good plot twist towards the end. After a while though all these Japanese and Korean ghost stories seem a bit simulair.
Ghost, extra long hair with worn eyes peering out, lots of water, etcetera. We all know the gist by now.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Full of the usual X-Men action but all these series' seem to loose a bit once they get to the third instalment.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Aaaah the 80's, big hair, synthesiser music, extremely bad acting, naked females covered in milky goop 'vogueing', and of course alien insemination.
Simular movies like this are ‘Inseminoid’ and ‘The Entity’, but the acting is not quite as bad as in this one. It's hard to say whether that makes it a step below or a step above in the terrible but mesmerising genre.
Tip: If the acting gets on your nerves too much switch the language over to French.
Great theme, great acting. My only reservation that when the theme is this good you always feel that they could have done a lot more with it.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Extremely good cgi animation, story line and characters.
Warning to parents though, scenes of alcohol and teenage lust as well as scenes that can be a little frightening for younger viewers had many parents taking their children out of the cinema when I saw this.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Only really worth watching if you are a hardcore Gore or/and Rob Zombie fan. Personally I found this a tad boring. I recommend the second movie though, 'The devil's rejects' outshines this by miles.
Got half way through before I decided that I'd had enough of this. For me, could not even pass as a bad way to kill time.
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
good movie, though some of the characters voices seemed a little too contrived, not natural and you can imagine them behind the microphone. Steve Carell as Hammy the squirrel really makes the movie.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Nicolas Cage is a great actor and it is very hard ot find a movie that he is in that is terrible.
This is a great movie.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
I was actually surprised by this movie. I was expecting just plain old gore. Very well made, Shot extremely well, great 70's soundtrack(steely dan etc)
Enjoyed this much better that the predecessor House of a 1000 corpses.
Still not recommended for the weak stomachs though.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
I saw this and found myself a little perplexed. Long and drawn out with a lot of the scenes seemingly deliberately slow. A man slowly climbs some stairs, can't they just cut to when he reaches the top? The person that I saw it with loved it because it was 'artistic'.
Over-stylised pack of nothing. Maybe if movies took the money they put into effects and diverted to the script we'd be able to see a decent movie for a change.
Completely boring. I originally put this in my queue as it refers to the grigori and then disappointed when they get it wrong. There's this thing called the internet that's out and it enables you to look up facts and double check them.
Would have been a merely okay movie if it wasn't for the incredibly annoying characters which were intensified by incredibly bad acting.
As zombie flicks go this is suprisingly entertaining. Still falls under the 'B' grade zombie flick catagory though.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
3 stories with the same characters. The third outshines the other two and feels as though It was written by someone else. Thus for the first two thirds of the movie you're a little bored and then the last third you're wondering what the hell happened.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
I actually enjoyed this more than the first installment. It had been so long since I saw kill bill 1 that maybe my taste had changed or maybe that after the first one I was not anticipating much and was pleasantly suprised.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
This was okay, funny in some parts.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
If I was a hormonally crazed 12 year old it would be memorable. As it is I'm trying to forget this movie. Hey, what do you know, It's already forgotten.
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
Good, good, a lot better than what I thought it would be like.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Was okay but could have been developed a lot more since there is a huge wealth of information on the topic of the second coming.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Was not as good as the first volume, but still watchable. Great character development.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
I was recommended this movie by so many people and I think in the end I found it a little disappointing. I felt it was like many movies before it (i.e Blow) except instead of dealing in drugs, substitute guns. Goodish movie, I just expected a bit more.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
A great series, a main character is a little sickly sweet but still a great series. A hint of a dark undertow that should make a stronger presence but this series is a must.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
Good series - a vast 7 episodes in this DVD. The show is a little sickly sweet after watching many episodes in a row. But there is a dark undertone and you wonder when it will fully emerge.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
STill waiting for this to get good. Seems to lead somewhere and then backtrack. A little too surreal for my liking.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
By the end of the first dvd this seemed to have potential by the end of the third I'm growing a little bit tired. At times it seems the writers do not remember what they were doing. Series runs slowly in parts but then jumps ahead in movements that are completely surreal. Watchable but maybe not exactly my cup of tea.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Extremely good series, still waiting for it to get darker as forewarned by other reviews. Lighthearted so far, very watchable.
P.S. There are 6 episodes per DVD which is quite a lot!
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
Starts off slow but gains interest episode by episode. Series has a lot of potential and I have a feeling that I will be giving the next volume 4 starts.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
The film started off very promising and would have been a great movie if the last quarter did not breakdown leaving the ending predictable and a little tame.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Extremely good movie, very different from the work that Cronenberg is famous for.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
I'd have to give this four stars. The theme is a favourite of mine and there are not enough movies on this theme. There are a few jumps to the heart in the film, the acting is great and it keeps moving at a pace that makes it extremely watchable.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Filmed in Australia, this movie is interesting in the fact that it’s almost a capsule of Australian, even Melbourne History. Sadly interesting does not always mean good.
There’s a heap of potential here but it barely makes the mark as a time killer.
I watched one episode and decided I could live without this one. It did not seem to bear up against all the great anime out there. If the artwork had been done better then I might of watched it all the way through, hoping for it to spark my interest. The artwork was shabby, outdated and possibly a reflection on overall effort.
I'm a fan of some Adam Sandler movies. It's almost a shameful secret of mine. But this movie I found quite different. It has none of that simpleness, doesn't appeal to the common crowd that his previous efforts have. At times it is almost painful to watch, awkward but intriguing characters in this dark script. You find yourself walking away from the movie only to find yourself coming back for more. In the end I was glad I put myself through it. The camera work and use of music is done incredibly well and the script and acting outshines anything else that Adam Sandler has to offer.

Oh - My - God
How can the human race survive and propergate when our future is so homoerotic!!
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
Not my cup of tea I'm afraid.
Space anime always seems to be lacking watchability that other animes have. That may only be my opinion though as I find most of these space animes the same. (except cowboy bebop which I love)
Great anime, possibly one of the best I've seen. Cannot wait for next installment
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
Interesting to a point. Otherwise extremely predictable without any real character or story depth.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
I don't care if Jessica is in it. Twenty minutes and I'd had all I could take. Did not seem to offer anything other movies of this kind had already offered before. What do I know though, I switched it off.
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
Harry Potter is always worth seeing. The interest in this movie is towards the end and you wonder how it will develop in the next instalment.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Quite enjoyable, not what I expected though. Basically sets of skits set around classroom characters and their teachers. Extremely humurous when given the chance.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
This was great, scary as hell. The plot is a lot easier to follow than the first as well.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
Great anime. Glorious soundtrack. Substantial plot that has a lot to offer in upcoming episodes. Definitely a must for anime fans.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
Huh, they made sequels of this thing?
Jim Carey should make more of these movies. They show how deep beyond all the other shallow roles he has played he's a great actor with a lot of potential.
This movie suprised me, really suprised me.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Good movie, very watchable.
Tom Hanks is great in this.

It was an okay movie, a lot better than a lot of jet li's other recent stuff.

What is it with the year 1981? Big hair, synthisisers and insemination.
See this just so you can tell ya friends.

I was actually not prepared for how much I enjoyed this movie and how much it freaked me out. Kudos!!!

aaahhh, get it off me, get it off me!
Kooky japanese anime series.
Funny and odd and grows on you.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
These people can do no wrong but fans should watch the original with subtitles rather than the dub version
(Excellent) - review by Matt
I don't know what it was, the bad script, the feeling that the film was made solely for merchandising for kids toys or the acting. Whether it was that ep 4,5,and 6 were incredible and this was like an insult.
You need to see it though, it's Star wars. You don't need to enjoy it.
God, I cannot believe how bad Anakin's acting is. You go see these prequeals in a vain hope that they will give you something that ep 4,5,and 6 gave. All I got was a bad taste in my mouth.
Even though I did not expect much from this in consequence to watching the first I was still sadly disappointed. Good time killer but like the first you don't really take anything home with you except a want to wear shiny clothes.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Gave me a few frights. The ghost sequences start up with big pounding drums. Sometimes it's hard to work out whether its the actually scene giving you a fright or the 'Boom boom boom boom' sound.
Had more ghost sex scenes than I expected. Good acting though and believable responses. Towards the end the movie becomes a tad unbelievable but it is a ghost story made in 1981.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
This series grows on you.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
'Stink bomb' was hilarious the other two parts I could have lived without though.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
My favourite of the muppet movies and also a relief to see that Jim Henson's son can achieve the same quality that his late father could.

Damn those eqoks are so cute and cuddly
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Good all round movie, Owen Wilson is his usual funny self and makes the movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Enjoyable, you need to watch through the credits to the bit afterwards.

Based on a book based on a true story. This movie will get a lot of attention from the hardcore Bowie Fans as he had a lot of input into it.
Definitely not for the squeemish though.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
This movie quickly turns on its end.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Hey I guess this movie proves that If you expect a disaster that I was expecting it to be then it will be easy to please
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Who can say anything bad about this classic that sparked 2 good sequals and 3 herendously disappointing prequeals.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Matt
This movie took me through a rollercoaster of emotions
- made me angry
- made me sleepy
- Mark Hammil made me laugh, poor guy.
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
Slow moving, hippy loving, pyscopathic science fiction movie. Memorable movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
I think the only remarkable part of this movie was when the ship was traveling through the rings. Nothing special at all otherwise.
This is it, the Pinnacle of 80's horror.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Interesting but interesting can only go so far. I could imagine it being completely unrewarding for those who have never seen an episode of Hogan's Heros. I was expecting a tad more than I got I'm afraid.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
A must for David Bowie fans

The best of alien ubduction movies. Bring to this genre a lot that the others missed completely.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Aaaah the aliens are coming and they'll poke you in the whatsis!! Worth watching if you have a thing for aliens. I still wonder why these movies have happy endings. Afterall no means no.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
I haven't enjoyed a movie like this for a long time.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Not really scary just violent. Predictable with below average acting. Maybe even a little immature.
Okay remake of the original.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
good movie, good acting
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Enjoyable movie, worth seeing. Suprised that some fight scenes had special effects added and others did not. For the amount of effort and time put into these scenes you'd think they would all be tweaked a little. Some were a little long and tedious.
But overall a very enjoyable movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Quirky movie that is completely enjoyable
(Excellent) - review by Matt
The scares aren't there like they are in the original Japanese movie but the plot is easier to understand in this one.

From the man who wrote the exorcist comes a very entertaining movie. humourous and thought provoking. This movie is otherwise known as "Twinkle twinkle killer Cain".

Good movie, though at one point three quarters through it seems like its going to end. If it ended there it would be a good sad ending. But it doesn't end there and as it keeps going from that point it does nothing more than kill the movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
I love these alien abduction movies. They scare me. It's a pity that they all end with a happy ending with all violations forgiven.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Was not expecting much from this but it was okay.

(Excellent) - review by Matt
Like movies that center completely around one concept. You half way through the movie you feel like yelling at the screen "Okay I get it, I get it." More clever than enjoyable.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
expected a lot more from this than I got. It was okay -ish but I still feel a little ripped off.
People need to see this movie just to understand all the jokes in TV series' like the 'Simpsons' that refer to this movie.
It's a classic.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Saw this at the drive in when it came out. Although I was miniture at the time I've seen it quite a few times. It's classic 70's SciFi at its best.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
good movie.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
This is a classic. A must see. Original and imaginitive.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
It was okay but does not measure up to the vast amount of other anime titles out there.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Parts of this movie scared the heck out of me more than any horror has. Good science fiction movie.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Loved this whole series. Good characters, more violent than I thought it would be, extremely good story.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Good movie, try to see the non dub version.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
mmmm, saw this in a cinema and you can tell its a movie made in anger than any other quality. Movie is a sequences of one graphic horror after another. It has no rhyme or reason except to be graphically displeasing.
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
Good movie, scary but often hard to keep track of plot. Scarier than the American remake and sequel is just as good.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Decent enough movie - not to be taken seriously though.

Increadable, enjoyed it more than I thought I would. This is a must see, a masterpiece.

This is a must see. Jet Li was a master in his prime.

Good movie, I quite like this chinese fantasy genre and it was good to see a little revitalisation in it.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Was okay but a little on the disappointing side. I found the story just a little undeveloped . Apparently this is the first of an upcoming series but I'm not eager to see what happens next.
Great movie.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
After reading all the books, listening to the radio series, and seeing the BBC series I was not expecting much from this movie. I did not get much either. Huge amount of money and time put into special effects and those witty english gags that Douglas Adams was famous for were skimmed over dryly as though none of it really mattered.
Did not enjoy this as much as I was hoping to. The movie has a lot of other much better chinese movies to compete against and in my view does not make the grade of this genre. Fine cinematography and story line but many of Jet Li's more recent movies just lack the passion of movies of this type.
Enjoyed this movie completely. Well worth getting out.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
I can't believe I actual sat through the whole thing.
Predictable and boring.
(Don't bother!) - review by Matt
Big fans of final fantasy will probably enjoy this a lot more than I did. In my opinion it does not match up with a lot of the other anime titles that are out.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Was expecting a lot more out of this. Watchable but misses the mark.
Still a good movie but I did not match up with my expectations.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
Good series, parts of each episode are drawn a little differently. Good short 6 episode series.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
Movie started off really good and then lost its thrill when the monster shows himself. Soon became very disappointing.
Maybe because it is a UK production, but definitely one of the best Zombie movies made.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
I was actually suprised they needed a third one. Was not greatly impressed by the first two this one made them look like gold.
Good movie.
One of the best remakes that there is.
Watch for the guy from that 'medium' series.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
As with the book this is a very disappointing story when compared to the other two. But the movie is even more disappointing than the book if that could be achieved.
I did not seem to enjoy this as much as the hype and everyone else did. Attempts to be artistic annoyed me slightly
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
This is one of the better Lyanthope movie. Like the ending. Good enough to watch.

Steven King Classic. Cannot compare it to the first version as I saw it so long ago that I cannot remember.
Acting a little dry but a good time killer none the less.
(Worth watching) - review by Matt
After the brilliance of the first Ginger Snaps this is a great disappointment.
This starts off alright but towards the end they had funding problems and effects come out as a Tacky rubber suit.
Movie ends up being rushed through seeming to try to make money of the ever popular 'Signs' Could have been good but isn't.
I lot better than I expected it to be.
(Excellent) - review by Matt
A good series but needs some patience to get into. Starts picking up later after everyone is introduced.

I don't think its possible to have a good vampire anime. I'm sure I've seen one just can't remember which one it was. Definitely not this one though.

I found this worth the watch. I agree that during the second half of the movie the suspense died and believability dies off but it still gave me a good fright overall. Enhanced by the DVD extras which go into real life cases.
