Great action - the site rating's right on the money! Excellent cast gave depth to what was essentially your basic no holds-barred, bloody shootem-up movie!! Loved it!

Very entertaining viewing - and an early incarnation of James Spader's Boston Legal persona. Surprisingly funny in parts!

Superb! Clever devlopment of Firefly plot. Great to finally see River's full powers come to light. I'm sure the fans will love this one!

Absolutely loved it! A Sci-fi Western, filled with action and humour, Joss Whedon style! Try it - you'll like it!

A truly remarkable TV series - I thoroghly enjoyed every eposiode. I'm sure it would have been a big hit if the series was allowed to develop to its full potential. The special features in this final disc put it all into perspective.

One for the Rob Schneider fans. Funny in parts... but a little too corny in others.

Hubba-hubba Halle Berry... and of course, superb action and car chase sequences. Slick production - very entertaining!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Ending was a little far fetched - and a convoluted storyline to boot!

Very cleverly linked short stories, including a segment directed by Tarantino! Entertaining mix of humour, violence and fast-paced action. A very enjoyable visual experience!

Another surprisingly good movie. This turned out to be quite a action-thriller, one of Bruce Willis' better ones - with a nice twist in the ending
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
This turned out to be a pretty good movie... much better than I had expected! Good action and an amusing plot. Amazing how a random call received on your mobile can lead to such complication. William H Macy is terrific in this movie.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
I was very impressed with the masterful swordplay sequences - and the breathtaking cinematography was simply the icing on the cake! A very well made film, with creative camera work, excellent effects and a beautiful lead actress in Aya Ueto.

A staple Steven Segal formula. An OK one for the fans, with decent aikido action, and even a splash of 'cryptology' thrown into the plot - which seems to be the flavour-of-the-moment!

What a fun family movie! Great to see Vin Diesel in this role... he certainly brings a new dimension to action comedy! We loved it!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
A thoroughly enjoyable movie. Very quirky throughout, it certainly showcased the talents of Jim Carey. Overall, one of the better feel-good movies I've watched.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Impressive performance by Kirsten Dunst. Almost like a documentary in its style, its a definitive tale of how NOT to raise your children.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Good dramatic performances, particularly from Ben Kingsley. It played out like a Shakespearean tragedy, with quite a depressing conclusion. Not a feel-good movie at all.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Clever twists in the plot as this tale unfolded. A chilling crescendo of suspense by the end... this film leaves you gasping for air at its wicked climax. What a sadistic, consuming tale - yet what an indelible viewing experience!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Entertaining fight sequences and clever special effects - and naturally, Jennifer Garner - make this movie worthy of a watch!!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Reminescent of the Da Vinci Code in many ways. Clever cryptology capers and action sequences make this a very enjoyable watch! It certainly captures your imagination.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Wonderful effects and extremely thought provoking. Poignant especially in light of the fallout from the recent Katrina tragedy.

Provides interesting context to the corporate machine. Got to be in the right frame of mind to watch this, though.

Milla Jojovich stole the show alright (yeah baby!!)! Truly an exciting, edge-of-your-seat action movie. Plenty of thrills and twists to capture your attention throughout the movie. Never a boring moment!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
If you've ever had to put up up with a whacky old neighbour and lived to tell the tale, you'll love this one! Ben Stiller delivers the laughs, as always!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
A fun movie. Plot was a little over the top, but great if you're into happy endings!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
A treat of a movie. Hilarious performances by Saturday Night Live cast!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
I think this sequel was easily better than the original! Zany Ben Stiller antics to the max! De Niro must have struggled to dead-pan his character. Dustin and Babs were hilarious Fockers, too!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
From the very opening dialogue and early scenes, there's no mistaking this movie was going be "in-your-face" (in the literal sense also!!), gritty and extremely graphic. A very revealing role for Meg Ryan, who certainly held her own here.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
A very entertaining, action-filled movie. Some scenes are not for the squeamish. But this movie definitely had the right mix of action, comedy and Buffy-esque mystique to tantalise our taste buds!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
One for the Steven Segal fans! Not as many new akido antics as I would've liked and the violence has certainly been toned down compared to Nico, et al - but still not a bad late night punch-em up movie to close out your night with.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
A very creative take on the fable that started the whole mythology around King Arthur. Certainly far better than my expectations. I expected another ho-hum special effects-laden Lord Of The Rings-style movie, but it was without a doubt, a film with a lot more depth and character development, one that does indeed capture your imagination. Pity it got lost in the mix a little bit, around the time everyone seemed to be releasing similar themed movies.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
One of the better feel-good Adam Sandler movies. The plot may appear superficial at first but reveals its deeper meaning by the end.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
This movie turned out to be better than I had expected. It captured the tribulations of women in the post-war era very well. Julia Roberts played the part of the rebel teacher with a "clause" really well! It was funny and touching at the right places - it's one of those movies you warm up to the more you watch it.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Not a bad remake of the original movie this one, with some clever twists included in the plot to keep it fresh and relevant to the current day. Great dramatic performances from Meryl and Denzel certainly helped to move the story along at a good pace and keep up excitement levels. It was good escapism - and an enjoyable watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Certainly an unusual style of film... but typical of Spanish nuveau arthouse directors - particularly in the way it flicks back and forth through time to reveal snippets of how the tale would end. Powerful dramatic performances from Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. Overall, it was a fairly heavy film to watch - you got to be in the right frame of mind to really get into this one.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
A very enjoyable movie... good action and suspense. Tom Cruise carried the role of Vincent very well - but Jamie Foxx really held his own in this one as the cabbie with a conscience.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
This Jackie Chan action comedy does not disappoint...its Jackie at his hilarious best! The fast-paced action sequences truly keep you at the edge of your seat - and are some of the best that I've seen! All in all, a very enjoyable movie. Easily four stars!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
There's more to Charlotte Rampling in this film than meets the eye... 'the thinking man's crumpet' alright! An enjoyable twist in the end. Certainly worth a watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Hilarious "nut-crunching" antics (as you would expect!) that only Ben Stiller et al can pull off!! Look out for the cheerleading tryouts near the beginning - and don't miss the featurettes in the Extras section. A truly enjoyable movie!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Gimme White Castle hamburgers!! What a zany, hilarious adventure - also captures the plight of racial minorities with great humour! Definitely worth a watch.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Great dramatic performances from the entire cast. One of the better dramas we have seen for awhile. Don't miss this one!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Hilariously entertaining! We had a good laugh with this one. Certainly a feel-good movie.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
An intriguing movie, the plot was just a little too far-fetched... imagine a world of cloak-and dagger corporate espionage whose main protaganist is a brain-washed accountant! Still, it was a fun movie to watch, if only for its novelty value!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Great movie... action packed and filled with many twists, this was enjoyable viewing alright! Can't go too wrong with Ashley Judd and Samuel L Jackson in the cast.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
This was certainly below expectations! Not very much action at all, and plot was virtually non-existenent! Most of the movie was slow moving and cumbersome - it only started to get reasonable towards the end. Two stars are merely for cinematography (if you're into that sort of thing!) and some special effects.
(Maybe) - review by Kelvin
Gripping drama... Charlize Theron was without doubt a deserving best actress. A most convincing and moving performance and an insightfully written script, this was a sad tale of one woman's life circumstances, loves and ill- conceived instinct to survive, that made her a monster in the eyes of the world at large.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Kelvin
I probably expected a bit more from thos flick than it delivered. The drama was vacuous and quite boring until the final fifteen minutes, when the "action" finally picked up. One for the die-hard Val Kilmer fans - else don't bother.
(Maybe) - review by Kelvin
A surprisingly funny movie... nice lighthearted entertainment. We especially like the Avril Lavigne references in the final speech!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Not quite what I expected... it was quite dull for the most part. An obvious attempt to cash-in on the DVC hype, but with little to show for it.
(Don't bother!) - review by Kelvin
Loved it! Fun movie to watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
The main draw-card for this flick is, without a doubt, Kate Beckinsale... she is a hottie! The final 20 minutes brought this film together and made it worth the watch.

Good dramatic piece... especially from Edward Norton. But plot was a little vague at times. Perhaps my expectations were a little higher...

A high level of suspense was maintained from beginning to end... an excellent movie for thriller buffs. Good twist at the end! Well worth watching.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Typical Rowan Atkinson humour... hilarious in parts! An enjoyable watch if you're in the mood for a laugh.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Truly a gripping action-thriller. Despite this being a much-explored sci-fi theme (machines taking over the world, etc, etc, etc), there was nothing ho-hum about this movie at all. Definitely one for your list!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Another great DVD from Hi-5! My two-year old really loved this one!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Definitely worth watching! Hilarious in parts, some of the plot reminded me a little of the "Wedding Banquet". Excellent laugh therapy!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
This movie was great to watch... a high level of suspense was maintained to the chilling end. We especially enjoyed how this movie explored the vastly different life scenarios of the four central characters as a consequence of changing a shared historical experience.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Fun to watch... just don't take it too seriously, ok? Quirky and pretty corny in some parts, I'm not surprised this series of films has generated somewhat of a cult following.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Great set design and costumes that romanticise the Samurai and 19th Century Japan. But some poetic license at the end on outcome of the final battle! Still, one of Tom Cruise's better efforts!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
A film of epic proportions! The climatic battle scene between Hector and Archilles is one to hold out for. Enjoyable movie.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
This film literally unfolds in reverse order! The strobe effects at the beginning (and end) are visually painful to watch, but do alert the viewer to the disturbing tale that lay ahead. The violence and unusual camera angles make this film a little difficult to watch, but, all told, it is a sensible social commentary. Worth a watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Impressive action scenes coupled with inimitable Jackie Chan humour! Never a dull moment through the entire movie - a great watch!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
It's Meet the Parents with a twist! Very entertaining afternoon's viewing... something you don't have to think about while you're watching it!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Hilarious movie... the opening scene really "takes the cake" - you'll know what I mean when you see it!! Very clever send-up of just about every teen movie ever made! If you want a good laugh, this movie's for you!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
An excellently made film... provoking in so many ways, yet it was a tale told so simply in its elegance, it captivates you more and more as it unfolds. Sure it was raunchy (mama mia!!) but that didn't detract from a story with a lot of heart.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
Highly disappointing... second rate action, third rate sound levels (esp at the beginning), and fourth rate "special" effects - and I use that term very loosely!! The gratuitous violence / bodily dismemberments were too excessive, to the point it loses all impact. Its no more than an Evil Dead wannabe - and a poor one at that! Do yourself a favour and drop this flick off your queue...!
(Don't bother!) - review by Kelvin
Much better than the first tomb raider. Very tight action sequences (not to mention Lara's outfits!) and Angelina appeared a lot more comfortable as Lara the second time around...!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Start of the movie catches your attention (I'll never look at diamonds the same way again!), but after the first 20 minutes, plot meanders at snail's pace until the end (there was a great deal of persistence on my part to get there!). It wasn't what I expected...
(Maybe) - review by Kelvin
This is the third time I've watched this movie... still hasn't lost its excitement value! Brings home the trilogy indeed!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
More twists in the plot than you can poke a stick at! An excellent afternoon's entertainment!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Rivetting stuff! We were at the edge of our seats all through the movie. Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman played their parts to perfection. Enjoyable watch!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
What can I say - except don't miss this movie! Tarantino is clearly a genius... the greater character development really brought the two volumes together. Easily four stars!
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
That's what I call a *real* werewolf transformation!! Stunning visual effects and and riveting action /comedy sequences make this a great afternoon's entertainment! Don't miss it!

A wonderful heart-warming fairy tale... it is undoubtedly a "must-see" family movie! You'll love it!

Starts a little slow, but gets better towards the end. The original was better , though. Finale is worth waiting for, I reckon.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
Very entertaining... fight scenes were fascinating! If you like action comedies, this is a must-see! Good use of special effects.
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
This was a fun movie... the fight scenes were just sensational. Great entertainment!
(Worth watching) - review by Kelvin
More twists in this plot than your average knot roll... keeps you guessing till the very end. Good if you like that sort of movie.

Final Flight of the Osiris is a must-see... it'll blow you away! Overall, an excellent precis of the art of anime.
(Excellent) - review by Kelvin
What a great climax at the end of the movie - a real blast!

Mean looking cars - great action. Plot a little thin this time, though. The original still takes the cake.

Another Rob Schneider classic - 'nuff said!
