What an incredible movie and story! Well worth watching! Fantastic Acting from Claire Danes. And we think we have problems in life - ours are nothing compared to those with a challenge. So what is our excuse for not using the incredible precious gifts and talents we have been given - none! And the very difficult role for Julia Ormond to play. Next time someone has a public outburst just look for they may be someone incredible gifted and have the ability to change the world. So many reviews focus on the cattle but miss the person who changed their lives. How much she had to overcome. How many doors she had to "walk through". Next time we are faced with an "automatic door" - let's walk through it!

A bit of a fizzer movie for Kate Hudson. Can't say much about her male co star either.

A lovely touching story about the bond between friendships.. One never knows where real friendship starts and where it will come from. The actress who plays Margueritte is wonderful. Why not let's strive to bring out the best in each other not the worst. maybe we could all take a leaf out of this book.

A very touching story. No wonder we have such an increase in children with things like ADD etc. A boy who longed for the love of his father but the love was not returned and found himself undoing. There are some gaps in the story line and how things come to be the way they are and it loses some continuity, but it is a moving story and one with such bravery and kindness on behalf of the foster carer. And to think children then grow up to be dysfunctional adults! No wonder our society is in such a mess.

Yet another lovely adapation of our "Miss Jane". The period costume department's moth's balls aired off yet again.

I normally like Catherine Heigle films - but this was pretty C grade. Even Debbie Reynolds couldn't lift the profile of this movie. How's about giving me an extra movie in the next lot sent to replace a bad watch. How's about sending me three next time to make up for it.

Didn't mind the poetry when I was at school. Found the movie and the story line boring. Couldn't get 10 mins into it.

A most excellent adaptation of Jane Eyre. If you are a Jane Eyre fan: it keeps you hooked right to the end even with all it's Gothic air about it. A most definite watch again or keep in the DVD cabinet one. Great one to watch on the other tele and do craft by as the boys watch their sport on another!

Hilary Swank does an excellent job of playing Amelia: even down to the mannerisms and the way she walked and talked. One courageous and tough lady. One little girl who had a dream and did whatever it took to make it come true. How amazing what women can really do when something is so strongly in their heart's. She changed the face of flying forever. And who said we can't do it. But as we know she was never found on the way home from her last flight. So close and yet so far to help and yet didn't make it. No one will ever know what really happened . Bit slow in the watching but nevertheless inspiring.

Tragic life of a a superstar of a by-gone era! What a talent that never really reached it's fullest potential due to the tragedies of life. But what a voice. You either love french music or you hate it.

What a tragedy that someone so highly gifted we never heard about and her brother got all the fame. It was the sign of the times but how glad we are as women now that our gifts can be recognised and we are able to use them. But are we able to use t hem to our fullest extend or do we still live in similar times????? how tragic that such a beautiful minuet was written only to be destroyed and never heard of in our times. We owe such much to Mozart and his extraordinary talent - but we hear nothing of Narnel. Such a shame. Good movie to practise french with.

Brought me back to days when I was growing up and my mum and I would watch old movies together and do craft. A silent movie about a silent movie that was a silent movie that became a talking movie. Interesting concept for a modern piece but very good creatively. It was a bit slow, but then you really have to love old movies to appreciate what was really going on. I loved it - but I appreciate that others may not; but I think it has to be viewed for what it is. The dog deserves the oscar! Loved the costumes and the music as well. It is such a shame that so many modern actors cant even use their words to act well. The old saying is so true- "a picture paints a thousand words" and also "actions really do speak louder than words" But I can also see why it was not a huge hit at the box office - what a shame!

great series. But tragic tale of love found and lost, of unforgiveness and forgiveness; somewhat with double standards though. tragic ending.

This movie is a tragic tale of those who lost loved ones in Sept. What a tale of overcoming all odds of grief and despair. How must have people really coped? How did life go on for them? One boys search leads you to ponder how you would survive yourself. The boy was a good actor and the role not easy to play but unfortunately the movie was slow to watch.

Interesting movie although hard to follow sometimes with all the comings and going in and out of hi time and himself. Did he die at the end or not? hard to tell.

Good series.

Good boys movie. It is obvious Steven Spielberg has a love of Herge and Tin Comics. It was very well done, although hard to translate a cmic into a movie. It leaves itself open to another movie or a series. However, I found it a bit slow going
