Probably made to win cinematic awards for imagery but not so good for telling a story.... -what has the creation of the world (wth the finest of music) to do with raising children?
Interesting portrayal of Churchill during WW2, although somewhat confused by repeated flash-backs.

A perfect end to a perfect series. I certainly didn't find the final episode 'tame' in comparison to the rest and the 'extra features' provided ongoing historical information that probably were not shown on television.

Once again, fascinating history -so relieved this is not the final disc after Henry's sudden collapse right at the end of the last episode!

A continuation of one of the best true history dramas that I have ever seen... top marks to the producers and directors!

A brilliant portrayal of English history as only the BBC can do! If only history lessons at school could have been this interesting!

Interesting for anyone interested in history. Successfully combines documentary narrative with historical enactment.

Different to the other 'Planet of the Apes' but explains how the apes had taken over the earth by the time the other movies began. Still a good movie.

The best movie I have seen for a while: a very touching tribute to the love shown by a dog to his adopted master. Also, a good portrayal of life in an outback mining settlement.

Very disappointing...if you are after a dramatic portrayal of a true historic event, don't bother chosing this DVD. I turned if off after the first 10 minutes: all in French with sub-titles too long to read before they disappear -and too much violence!
(Don't bother!) - review by Faye
A very moving DVD, exposing the dangers of what can happen when governments take it upon themselves to 'do what is best for the children'.
