John Jarratt was great. He played his role to perfection. The slow beginning only served to make the horrors that followed all the more sinister.

This was a great zombie movie. What can I say? I like good B grade horror.

If you've seen the original film (by the same director) you will hate this. Typically a great film was ruined because it had to be remade so the American audience could understand what was going on. And of course there had to be a saccharine ending. It was a waste of talent of some fine actors.

Typical American dramatisation but worth a look.

This was well acted, well scripted and well thought out. A film that kept you guessing and kept you interested.

I felt this one fell well short of expectations. It just did not compare (as many have attempted to do) to the Indiana Jones' style action, adventure heroics.

One of the best Thrillers I have seen for a while. Edge of seat, suspense that keeps you guessing up until the end. Great stuff!!!

This is a classic horror flick that revolts but doesn't let you look away.

Take half a star off for making the viewer suspend reality a tad too far. The pace is OK but the acting is too cliche to earn this one a full three stars

I was disappointed with this. It was not a bad movie, quite the opposite, but great it was not. I guess I expected more after all the hype.

This had the makings of a good story but fell flat way short of the mark.

This version is my preferred version. The director had to remake this one for the American audience and while the Jeff Bridges version is good, this original is far more nail biting and gripping.

The story gradually unfolds. Bouncing backwards and forwards all the pieces fall into place to make a really good drama.

Reality is a frightening thing but paranoia is terrifying and dangerous.

It was a three star film until the disappointing ending. It really lost it badly at that point.

Colin Friels is excellent in this very sober human drama. You can feel what he is going through. Wonderfully acted.

If you appreciate black commedy you'll appreciate this one.

Moore likes to tell it like it is and the fact that Bush's cronies tried to stop the film is testament that it has more than an once of truth in it.

I was expecting much more from this movie, having read several reviews which said this was the best ever Harry Potter. While it is definitely worth watching, it was all too predictable.

Very disappointing. It strayed too far from the original and, as usual for Hollywood, relied too heavily on Special Effects and not enough on Scripting and Acting. Watch it but don't expect too much and you should enjoy the ride.

I wasn't sure what to expect and at the start I thought Oh OH! but what a wonderfully original albeit offbeat story. The acting was superb on all counts and what an excellent script.

What a long wait and what a disappointment when I finally got to watch this one. Almost a waste of time but some good elements.

I enjoyed this one and eagerly await Spiderman 3. Maybe a little too much emphasis on character development but that was well done. The action sequences were really great, leaps and bounds and swings ahead of Spiderman 1.

Another great flick from the Coen Brothers. Add another half star.

Moore has some very interesting things to say about multinational corporations and the effects their business decisions have.

Glass got fired for writing lies. This action seems to be an act of fantasy in itself when one considers that in this day and age the press encourages the type of journalism Glass advocated. (Anything to be number one).

OK story but I am not sure the actors were really that into it. It was too predictable and a bit on the dull side.

If you like gangster stories this is worth a look.

A bad movie based on a bad book.

After waiting so long to finally get to see this film,it turned out to be nothing short of a total disappointment. It was predictable as only Hollywood formular movies can be predictable.

Not the best Eddie Murphy comedy, but they seldom are these days.

Well documented and well acted. Not sure if we were supposed to feel sorry for the 'Monster', though her early life did leave alot to be desired.

An interesting journey into the mind of a loan yachty, battling her personal demons. One you need to focus on.

I was disappointed with this as there was not much said about Roger 'Sid' Barrett that has not been said a thousand times before. A nice little stroll down memory lane at best but nothing inciteful for my money. Wouldn't it have been great to have had an interview with Sid Barrett himself?

Yes, one needs to "Suspend reality" and yes, one could drive a truck through the holes in plot. This is the case with most Holywood movies to varying degrees. However, if you like supernatural themes you will enjoy this flick and no doubt you will be more than willing to suspend reality for the sake of a bit of scare.

An improvement on part one but more hype than susbstance really, though Thurman did a good job.

I've read the book and now I have seen the movie. The scenes depicting the torture of JC were very graphic, to say the least. I would like to think that Gibson was pushing home a point. Unfortunately "man's inhumanity to man" is such that bararism of the nature illustrated in this account of the crucification of Christ most likely hapened. Just take a look at the 6 o'clock news to see what we are capable of in this day and age. A historically accurate account of the last days of JC's life.

WOW!!!! This is the best supernatural film I have seen in a long time. Well thought out, well acted by all and well written.

Not bad as far as romances go (not my favourite movie genre).Toni Collette is wonderful as ever. The scenerey was just great. (I want to go to the Pilbara!) Showed how short life can be.

The action just kept happening. Definitely a big screen flick (great Special Effects)but I enjoyed viewing it on the small screen too. Lots of Aussie actors doing great work. I never thought David W could be so funny. I loved it!

Totally light weight and quite predictable but better than most films of this genre. Good actors who probably had lots of fun doing this flick.

Just didn't do it for me as a movie. Some good bits and good concepts but the battle between good and evil angle seemed a bit over the top and really very unconvincing.

Classic Sci-Fi. This where Roddenbury got a lot of his ideas for Star Trek the original series.

Not really great Sci-fi but good T in C bits throughout. Big Barda Boom was a bit too silly though.

Not up to the standard of the original. The deviations from the original detracted rather than enhanced the story in this case.

Strong, moving and gripping. Eastwood's direction was great. Kevin Bacon was excellent in his role, as were Robbins and Penn.

Not up to the usual Coen Bros standard but well worth the look all the same.

Yes I am a Star Trek Fan from way back. This is probably one of the best, if not the best, introductions to a new series that I hav seen. Being thrust into a new situation and in a the Delta Quandrant gave the Star Trek Franchise a chance to really get back to Roddenbury's original ideals. It was a great start to the series and whet my appitite for more.

A lot of Hype on this Holywood Blockbuster, but while it moved along OK it fell short of my expectations. I think the three stars I give it are loyalty to home grown (even if he is from NZ) talent.

I really enjoyed The Cube but Hypercube lacked something that I cannot put my finger on.

Not as good as I had hoped but certainly worth the watch. Some totally over the top "humour" and unbelievable blood fests. Maybe KB Vol 2 will pull it all together. A bit of a pretencious movie. Certainly not cinema.

Another Kubrik masterpiece. I remember seeing this for the first time in the late 70's and it still makes a valid statement about war, nationalism and a misguided sense of western right.

Interesting but it did go on a bit in the American way, maybe even taking itself a little too seriously at times.

Really interesting story and maybe not so far fetched in terms of possible biological warfare. A little disjointed at times. Good sets.
