Just a very ordinary movie - nothing spectacular. A fair bit of action, but unless you are a Jean Claude Van Damme fan, don't bother, as there is not much of a storyline and I think it's about time he stopped trying to pretend he still " has it". It's like watching another pathetic version of a Steven Seagal movie. Both these guys should know when to give up.

Why is Johnny Depp starring in a movie like this (does he need the money?) My wife and I both personally thought that it was one of the worst load of crap movies we have seen. The supposed storyline (based on Stephen Sondheim's Musical The Barber of Seville) was totally pathetic and so was the acting by all concerned. As for the singing, if you're game enough to waste yor money - then enjoy.

Here we have a different slant on "reality" television. The movie was better than I expected with a good, but predictable storyline and Steve Austin and Vinnie Jones played their parts well without being "over the top" Definately worth a watch as it has lots of action and keeps you interested the entire movie.

Full of the usual gore-fest that have been in the others, but at least this one had a good storyline and even a moral to that story. Well acted and equal to Saw 1. The other two were just absolute rubbish. Well worth watching, but not for the fainthearted.

Any movie based on a John Grisham novel would be great, but this outstanding. A tremendous storyline, with a fantastic cast headed by Susan Sarandon & Tommy Lee Jones, but Brad Renfro steals the show. What an incredible future this young lad has. A superb suspense/thriller that should not be missed by anyone.

Be patient about watching the first half of the movie, because while sometimes being a bit slow and confusing you need to pay attention to the storyline that sets the scene for the second half which develops into a very good movie. Jim Carrey was excellent. Worth watching (but don't be tempted to fast-forward any of the first half).

Being a British comedy, you knew it would it would be great before you watched it. While it was most times hilariously funny, it wasn't quite as good as was expected, given all the hype. Great cast though and a very entertaining storyline. Watch it - you'll enjoy

A very enjoyable movie with a solid storyline and a great cast, especially Justin Timberlake's performance. Definately recommended as one to watch if you like "cop" movies about corruption and violence. Lots of action.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
There were some very exciting action scenes in parts of the movie, especially the final sequence, but other than that it was only a pretty boring storyline and I expected it to be much better than it was. Kurt Russell was good but there was too much of the storyline centred around "the girls", especially in the earlier part of the movie.

All Herbie Hancock fans must see this. I found it to be a very interesting, DVD and extremely enjoyable to watch. I thoroughly recommend this to ALL serious "music buffs" because of it's content and insight into the man and his music.

What a great action movie. It has you glued to your seat from start to finish and Clive Owen is just fantastic. A great storyline with a completely different dimension. Highly recommended viewing.

This is a seriously awesome action-packed movie. I thought it might be mainly for kids but it is tremendous entertainment for the whole family. The story is great and the special effects are fantastic. Don't miss it !

A very enjoyable suspense/thriller movie with a great story line, (probably inspired by Rear Window) and all the cast were totally believable in the execution of their roles (especially David Morse). Kept you interested the whole time. Well worth the watch - you'll enjoy it !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A quaint movie with enough of a plot and humor to keep you interested, but that;s about all. It's sort of one of those comedies that you could say " been there, seen that", but probably in a much funnier way of presenting it.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A fantastic live concert by Tom Jones. He was brilliant ,as were the Band and backing singers Even if you're not a fan, you will absolutely love this. Don't miss it. Definately "must watch" viewing.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
An excellent music DVD, especially if you are a Harry Connick Jr. fan. Great big band backing, fantastic arrangements and a great insight into Harry C.Jr - the man. Don't miss this one !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable movie with outstanding and elegant costuming and brilliant location scenes, but otherwise not quite my cup of tea. If you love movies about this period, you will enjoy it too and maybe even give it a better rating. Worth a watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable addition to the movie in explaining the content and morals behind the story and why they were presented in such a magnificent manner. If you are a "true" Spider Man freak you should watch and enjoy this, but as with most bonus discs they are to be watched in conjunction with the movie as an informative extra.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
After having watched it several times our whole family came to the conclusion that it was one of the greatest movies that we have seen and certainly the best of the Spider Man movies. Fantastic effects, a brilliant storyline that had great moral fibre overall and a splendid cast. Definately do not miss this one !
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
What a fantastic movie ! Great story with a totally different twist on "Presidential assination storylines". One of the most enjoyable movies of this genre that I have watched. Great acting by Danny Glover and especially Mark Wahlberg. You must see this. Highly recommended.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An incredibly funny family movie that everyone will enjoy. They should make a lot more movies like this that are straight forward wholesome family entertainment. Don't miss it !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An incredibly tense thriller that leaves you guessing right to the end. Outstanding performances by all the cast especially Michael Douglas. A must watch movie !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An incredibly moving story with an outstanding performance by Will Smith. One you will enjoy no matter how many times you watch it. Definately highly recommended.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable family movie with lots of laughs, but a little disappointing to what I had expected. Sometimes too much of his antics can be annoying and over the top, but if you are a Rowan Atkinson and Mr.Bean fan - you'll love it.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Another disappointing movie from Seagal, although the storyline wasn;t too bad - stolen plane etc. Maybe it's time he gave it away. Only watch it if you are an out and out Seagal fan, but even then be prepared to be a bit bored by it all.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
In some ways a pretty disappointing movie, but a great cast who portrayed their roles well. The storyline became a little obnoxious and elongated, but it's worth a look if you haven't anything elso to do.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable movie with a good storyline and excellent cast who portray their characters with total professionalism (as one would expect). If you like the Casablanca type movies you will love this. Great viewing.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
What a great movie with a very different storyline that leaves you wondering what if something like this came true ? It's not the best Robin Williams movie that I have seen, but the whole family loved it and it certainly didn't shirk any of the political issues and probably would leave some of the corporate world shaking in their shoes. Great entertainment.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
I guess I was expecting more out of this movie than I got. It reminded me too much of the Young Ones which I didn't like and I can't compare it with Fawlty Towers because that was brilliant and this is a poor mans (Mayall) attempt to recreate it and it failed miserably by comparison.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Everybody should see this movie, if only to become informed about the future situation of our planet. You can then make up your own mind as to how much is fact or fiction, depending on your own point of view and knowledge and awareness of the problems confronting the world in this area.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
As an action packed movie, it couldn't be better. As a storyline it was only fair particularly in the plot and delivery department. A couple of very amusing sequences as to how he (Jason Statham) regenerates his adrenalin rush. Definately not for the younger age group children. You will enjoy it, but overall it's not a great movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Simon Pegg plays an outstanding role as the "top cop" in London who is an embarrasment to his superiors because he has such a fantastic record and commendations that he gets transferred to a small country town where he proceeds to upset the locals. A typically great British comedy well worth the watch
(Excellent) - review by Ian
I have seen many movies about plots to kill the President of the United States and they were pretty average, but this movie is brilliant. It kept you rivetted the whole time. Excellent script, storyline and the way the plot unfolded was fantastic. Brilliant performances by Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland. Definately watch this - it's great.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
This is a great Chili Peppers concert with an "electric" atmosphere about it, unlike the Off The Map DVD concert which I completely "canned". This is the Chilis at their best and I recommend this as a must watch to everyone.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A fantastic, wholesome and emotional movie that the whole family can enjoy. Sir Anthony Hopkins was brilliant (as he always is) and this true story was well acted by all of the cast. Highly recommended.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Let me first state that I have always been a Chili fan. Having said that, the only reason that it got a rating at all is because of Flea and Chad. Anthony, the lead singer is so far out of tune most of the time and they also need to learn how to tune their Guitars and get a decent sound out of them. It is unbelievable how they could release this DVD concert to the public. I pity the audience who had to listen and watch this because the sound recording was also a total abomination. The DVD concert is called Off The Map. To watch this and honestly say that you enjoyed it, you would have to be "off your face".
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
A somewhat inconsequential take off of James Bond that just didn't work at all. The storyline and plot were too contrived to be believable and the acting was sometimes farcical. Rowan Atkinson should stick to what he does best?
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Nowhere near as good as the reviewers "hype". A reasonably enjoyable movie with a few laughs especially towards the end, but, otherwise very disappointing,(depending on your sense of humour). In my opinion Eddie Murphy should stick to his lewd, crude and "stand up" comedy routines because that's where his forte lies. I have yet to see him in a comedic role that I can say "that was great" I even doubt if the children would love this because it may be over their heads.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Not as good as I thought it would be. Slow and boring in parts and the rest of the storyline is pretty average. I thought Josh Harnett was good , but certainly not great. If you've got nothing better to do - watch it, you might like it.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
This is Eddie Murphy at his usual lewd, crude and foul language best. If you don't like it that way - don't watch! It is absolutely side splitting humour at the highest level of entertainment.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
What a fantastic movie! No wonder it was nominated for 5 Academy Awards. This is one that everybody should see, if only to understand the cruelty that went on in Sierra Leone with the slave labour in the diamond mines. I think that this is Leonardo DiCaprio's best role ever and his South African accent is brilliant as is his acting. Not to be missed!
(Excellent) - review by Ian
I have always been a fan of Steven Seagal but I am afraid my interest has been waning as each of his last few films have gotten worse and worse and this one has to be "the pits". No more for me. I don't understand why the lip sync is so bad, or for that matter why they had to overdub anything anyway. Just forget it!
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
Basically just another "teen-flick" suspense/horror movie with a very slow average storyline, much the same as any other in this genre. Not much to keep you interested at all. Unless you are "into" these type of movies - don't bother!
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Absolute crap! - don't waste your time or money. The so called star studded cast must have needed a movie to work on that was going to be the biggest flop ever so that they could claim a tax loss. The worst movie I have ever seen. Just forget it.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie, but I can assure you - watch it. Based on a true story, the scriptwriting and storyline is first class and delivered brilliantly by a relatively unknown cast.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very good movie.,light and entertaining. A very good storyline with lots of humour and also sadness. You will cry sometimes but laugh most of the time. An excellent cast and as usual a brilliant Helen Mirren as Chris. Definately worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very good movie even though Bruce Willis is "getting on", he still displayed great acting ability in this role. It kept you interested the whole time, but the voice of Mos Def was very irritating and most of the time it was very difficult to understand what he was saying. Still worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A fairly average sort of movie that was too drawn out and really not much of a storyline. Not one of Stephen King's best and the background lighting was far too dark for most of the time. If it was too create a suspenseful atmosphere - it didn't work. Don't bother
(Maybe) - review by Ian
An excellent movie with great portrayals by a fantastic cast, especially Helen Mirren who was brilliant. Also standing out was the actor who played Tony Blair. A very enjoyable watch about a different perspective of the aftermath of Princess Diana's death and the behind the scenes story and emotions of the Royal family and the Prime Minister.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An excellent movie with a great (but dark) storyline and a brilliant performance by Christian Bale. If you don't mind the excessive language you have to see this one, it's fantastic.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Having now seen all three Saw movies this rates as second best to the original. Saw 2 was a waste of time, but this at least has some suspense to it as well as the gore and horror and not a bad storyline if you concentrate hard enough. If you are at all squeamish - don't watch any of them !
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A fairly entertaining movie with a bit of action and reasonable storyline, but nowhere near as good as the series. I expected it to be a lot better considering the star line-up of Colin Farrell and Jamie Fox. Still worth watching though.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Not exactly one of Jack Black's best movies. There were a few laughs, but the whole storyline was too predictable and there was a lot of background noise in the soundtrack. Give it a miss.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A very different kind of story that was interesting and enjoyable to watch - but not great, despite the heavy weight cast, who all played their roles with professionalism.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Despite this being a Stephen King movie, it was really un-interesting with a long drawn out storyline, not much suspense at all and in my opinion a waste of time.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
A very exciting and fast action movie in parts. An excellent storyline and while Daniel Craig makes a very good James Bond, I don't think anyone will ever be as good as Sean Connery or Roger Moore. They just had the right combination of humor, together with their ability to portray Bond with a suave style not present in this one. Still worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
These guys are totally insane and "over the top". While this is actually not my style of movie, you cannot help but laugh and enjoy their sick humor. Lots of swearing and blasphemy, but the stunts are great.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
This was nowhere near as good as the original. A very slow beginning and parts of the storyline were long and drawn out. It took until about half way through the movie before it became interesting enough to enjoy.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
One of the most incredibly interesting movies I have ever seen with a fantastic storyline and an incredible lot of twists as well. A magnificent cast who all portray their roles with the total professionalism that one would expect from such a great cast. I can only say - don't miss it, it's brilliant. Congratulations to the story writer, producer, director and everyone involved in keeping me rivetted to my seat from start to finish.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
I thought that this was an excellent thought provoking movie. A very good story line and Viggo Mortensen was excellent in his portrayal of a dual personality schizophrenic, but you don't realise that until about a third of the way through the movie when you can guess he really is the bad guy from the past. Lots of violence and "blood & guts" but if you can get past that you will enjoy it.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
This movie did not really have a storyline at all, but if you are into martial arts, the fight scenes are fantastic. Jet Li provides lots of action and certainly is a master at his craft.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Johnny Depp gives his usual sterling performance but compared to the first, the storyline is a non-event. It is too disjointed and there seems to be a lack of continuity in the script. It was a very disappointing movie.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
An enjoyable movie but nowhere near as good as the first. It's message seems to contradict the storyline of the original in lots of ways. Still worth watching for the whole family.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable and interesting movie with a good cast and storyline, however, it wasn't as good as I expected. The outcome was fairly predictable and was probably intended as a "chick flick" rather that to a wider audience scope.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
This is a fantastic movie with superb directing by Denzil Washington who also plays a brilliant role as the Naval psychiatrist. Derek Luke plays a great role as the "angry" sailor. I am usually not an emotional type but there were quite a few times I had tears in my eyes because it was such a moving storyline. Don't miss it !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Another great movie starring Denzil Washington. I haven't seen him in a bad one yet. Keeps you interested the whole way through. Highly recommended.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
It was a very good movie with a very clever plot and storyline that really made you think - is it worth cheating. A great film well worth watching and it had a little bit of everything going for it - comedy, thriller, action, pathos and remorse. A very good cast and well acted. Definately worth watching especially for those who cheat on their husbands/wives etc. Is it worth it ?
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
An absolute classic movie. Powerful and enthralling from start to finish, with a fantastic cast and especially brilliant performances from Denzil Washington and Gene Hackman. Whatever you do, even if you don't like "war" movies, don't miss it !
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
I was disappointed with this movie. It really was below par script wise and to my point of view had nothing to offer in a positive watching movie experience, unless you are into getting enjoying a double "duffed" experience. Probably a good girlie teen movie if you like that sort of thing.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A great action packed movie along the style of a young James Bond movie with a fantastic strong role played by Alex Pettyfer. Everyone in the family will enjoy this because it is a great story and well acted by a professional cast and is totally absorbing to watch from start to finish. Pity Ewan Mc Gregor had only such a small part at the beginning. Great and enjoyable. Watch it !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Just another movie if not for Lucas Black & Peter Coyote. A rather disjointed storyline that seemed to have you all over the place and sometimes not being able to understand where the scriptwriter is taking you, but it did have a great "twist" at the end.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
This is a great movie, but it took so long to "get there". Careful use of the FF button is required in the first half if you get bored by the elongated set-up of the storyline, but it's worth it in the end. Demi Moore plays a great role and anyone who has lost someone close to them will understand the significance of the trauma that one goes through, particularly a young child. Definately worth the watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
If you are an Adam Sandler fan, you'll probably love it, but for me, the first half had some hilarious moments and then it seemed to change into some other genre like romantic comedy drama or something?. Good to watch if you have nothing else to do, except background relief for house chores. You know what I mean, people who have to have the "telly"on in the background when they're doing housework or something like that?
(Maybe) - review by Ian
All this rubbish of comparing it with MI-1, MI-2 etc. Enjoy it for what is is,a very powerful non-stop action movie in the true Mission Impossible tradition. A great storyline and as usual an outstanding performance in this type of movie by Tom Cruise (whether you like him or not). Great cast - great action ! Watch it - and don't compare, just enjoy it ! Great movie.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Just a total classic film. I have seen this three times before but never on DVD and it still stands as one of the great movies of all times, particularly the outstanding performance by Jack Nicholson. He is just brilliant. If you haven't seen it before - put it on your priority list now.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
Loved it, as I have the others in the series. Great storyline with lots of action and adventure. I was particularly impressed with the music score in this film. They all have been good but this one just seemed to stand out in terms of enhancing the film.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
If you have ever seen Bill Bailey in any of the TV shows, especially Black Books, you still have not experienced the professionalism of this man as a "stand up" comedian. He is absolutely one of the funniest I have ever seen. His timing and delivery is absolute perfection. You must watch this because you will literally laugh so much, you will be in tears (of joy and pain) Don't miss it whatever you do.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A great action filled movie from start to finish. Jason Statham and Ryan Phillippe were the stars of the movie playing their roles with authority and conviction. As for Wesley Snipes - anybody could have played his part. A good storyline that started out like every other Bank robbery hostage situation but had lots of "twists" around the corner. Thoroughly enjoyable and well worth watching
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very entertaining "spoof" movie with lots of cameo roles and "take offs" from other movies but done in a comedic way. It is not for those who want to watch something "deep" - it's basically a fun movie. Enjoy it for what it is - entertaining.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A fantastic adventure movie that the whole family will enjoy. Brandon Routh in his debut role as Superman is great and has to be congratulated for carrying on the tradition of the "man of steel" in a way that seems like he has done it forever. Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor is brilliant.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Bordering on a classic, this brilliant movie should be on everybody's "must watch list". A tremendously interesting storyline portrayed by an excellent cast headed by Anthony Hopkins and Jake Gyllenhaal and an outstanding performance by Gwyneth Paltrow.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A typical Wesley Snipes action movie, albeit not as good as some of the others. Enough reasonable storyline to keep you interested but I thought the "serial killers" part of the storyline was a bit drawn out too much, not to mention the macabre nature of same in what essentially is an action movie and not a thriller. Cybil Shepherd was pathetic in her role. Worth a watch if you've got nothing better to do.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Almost bordering on a classic. Admittedly. there was a lot of debauchery, nakedness and bawdiness, but that was how it was in those times. I thought the storyline was great and very easy to follow (provided you concentrated on the script), and as for Johnny Depp, his acting and portrayal of the main character was nothing short of outstanding. Having seen him in less serious roles in other films, I can imagine him forging another path in his brilliant career as he has a magnificent command and delivery of his lines in the tradition of the great Shakespearian actors.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
I thought it was a very good movie with a very touching and poignant storyline, well handled by the Director for such a delicate subject. At times I thought it was a bit slow in establishing the integral parts of their relationship, but it was still well worth watching. Great acting by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Not one of Nicholas Cage's best movies, but nevertheless entertaing enough to keep you watching. There are quite a lot of morals to learn from in the storyline if you pay attention.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A reasonably good (but typical) Harrison Ford movie. The story line sometimes drags out a bit and mostly was predictable in the outcome of the plot. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable to watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
The best Aussie movie I have ever seen. A very different kind of "Aussie humour" that totally works. No wonder he won an award for it at the AFI awards. Congratulations to the whole cast and crew for a "must watch" movie. The story line and script is great with loads of laughs, but the best scene is left to last. Que sera sera !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Earth Wind & Fire fans will enjoy this if you want to hear the interviews and history of the group. I thought it was a little disjointed and not enough complete performances of the music, which I guess everyone has heard on all the other albums - DVD's anyway. Still a very interesting watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
This is a fantastic movie! It has all the elements to keep you interested the whole time. Great story - great cast, especially Antonio Banderas as the Dance instructor. A must watch.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A good political thriller with lots of action, but the story line fades away in the middle stages of the movie. Good acting from Cuba Gooding Jr. and Anne Archer.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A brilliant storyline with great portrayals by an excellent cast. Keeps you interested the whole time. Slightly erotic in parts and has a "dark" side, but well worth watching.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A great movie with a very plausible plot given this day and age. You need to concentrate a lot on the story plot, but it is well worth it. Definately recommended, but you have to watch it undistracted otherwise you won't really know what it's about. Great viewing.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A light but hilarious comedy movie with an outstanding performance by Robin Williams (yet again). If you want a great laugh, watch this because it will brighten up your day. Definately recommended.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very powerful movie with a great cast, especially Charlize Theron as the sexually harassed mine worker. Probably not for all tastes, but if you want to see an excellent movie with a great story, then you must watch it.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An excellent movie with a great storyline and lots of suspense and action to keep you interested the whole time. Brandon Lee was superb and so was the directing and editing that was done to cover the fact that he (Brandon), actually died during the making of this movie.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very average good cop/bad cop movie with not much of a storyline. Only watch it if you have nothing better to do.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
An excellent sequel to the original movie. Great casting and very interesting story, but you need to see Hollow Man 1 first, otherwise it won't make sense. They are both excellent to watch.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An average movie with a more than average last half hour. We know who the serial killer is basically from the start, but it's then up to the police on how to catch him when he keeps evading them with lots of "twist & turns" Definately worth watching especially for the ending.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A sensational movie with a great storyline (albeit a bit long) and a fantastic cast, but it keeps you interested the whole time. If you haven't seen it , don't wait any longer
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very average movie about not much at all. A storyline about a loser which has been depicted in other ways in lots of many other movies that make a lot more interesting viewing and the over use of very coarse language was for the most time unnecessary.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A seriously bad movie that was too long and drawn out, with not much of a story. The only thing that saved it from being pathetic was the beautiful scenery, but then again, you can get that in a 15 minute travelogue. Don't bother wasting your time and money.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
A very good movie with an excellent cast. Superbly created in black & white which gave more credibility to the insertion of old T.V. footage. Very thought provoking and one you must watch.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An outstanding musical journey with some of the greatest Jazz musicians in history, particularly if you like Jazz Rock and Fusion styles. A must watch for musos especially.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
Eric Bana as the hired political assassin is excellent, in a very good movie about the consequences of the Munich Olympic games hostage situation. It has a deep message in that it has some appropriation with the perplexity of events in Israel at the present time. Well worth the watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A surprisingly clever and well thought out storyline. Not just your usual teen suspense/thriller/horror movie flick. A good cast well acted and definately worth a watch. I didn't think it would be that good.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very good movie despite the relatively unknown cast. A good suspense/thriller storyline that keeps you interested the whole way through. Worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
An excellent movie with a very believable storyline and a great cast, especially the performance by Clive Owen. It really shows how easy it is to create a "scam" situation. Definately worth the watch - you'll enjoy it from start to finish.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A pathetic soft porn movie. Don't waste your money, because it isn;t worth it. A terrible story line and very badly acted.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable movie and keeps your interest albeit a bit long and drawn out. A very good storyline and another great performance by Denzil Washington. Worth a watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
While Al Pacino gives his usual good stellar performance and Matthew McConaughey is great, the storyline is far from interesting unless you are a gambler. It leaves a lot to be desired as a movie, so I am suggesting it is not really worth the watch unless you are a devotee of any of the above.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
This movie is a total waste of time and space. If you are unfortunate enough to select it, you will need to use the fast forward control frequently to get the pain over with. Please don't bother.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
An excellent movie with a great storyline and a superb cast, especially Samuel L Jackson. Crowd scenes were a bit noisy and sometimes hard to follow the flow, but well worth watching.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A reasonably enjoyable movie, but a lot of the story does not accurately depict the scriptures. Nevertheless, if you are into this sort of movie you will appreciate its' significance.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
An excellent movie with a great storyline, but 100% of the credit goes to the scriptwriter who added enough "comedy relief" to give a somewhat lighter side to what could be a dark movie thriller, especially in this day and age of war and terrorism. As usual,an outstanding performance by Nicholas Cage.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very interesting movie with a different "twist" about the "so called" kidnapping of a Presidential candidate's daughter. A good storyline albeit it slow for the first 20 minutes or so. Be selective about using the fast forward button and you will enjoy it. Worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A fantastic movie with an incredibly good cast and storyline. Excellent performances by Natalie Portman, and especially Hugo Weaving. A great must watch movie.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Let's work backwards - the last part of the movie is very good and there is lots of action throughout the whole movie, but I think it's time Steven Seagal gave it a "miss "either as an actor or a Producer or whatever. If you really are desperate to watch this one - use the fast forward button to wade through the parts that are uninteresting, beacause there are lots of them as the movie doesn't have much of a story or plot.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
Brilliant story based on a true story by Anne Rule. Superb casting and an outstanding portrayal of Ted Bundy (the notorius serial killer) by Billy Campbell. You have to watch this one because it is excellent.

Great acting by Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman as one would expect but the storyline was an average typical romantic comedy with a few laughs, but not very impressive entertainment.

I have never liked country music or country rock. Having said that, this movie is brilliant in all respects. The man (Johnny Cash) is a legend and the storyline is fantastic and absolutely outstanding performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon make this one of the most enjoyable movies to watch.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable movie, extremely well acted and reasonably accurate according to the scriptures. Worth watching.

An enjoyable movie about Jeremiah, very well acted, but there are a few inaccuracies in the story compared to the scriptures.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Not a good movie at all. I thought it was just trying to "cash in" on the Saw movies ,except this is totally devoid of any storyline. When it starts you think it is about drugs, then moves into porn and finishes up a "gore fest" Quentin Tarantino must have needed the money to be involved in this crap in any shape or form. Don't bother !
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very enjoyable film that turned out to be quite different that was expected. A very good cast, but sometimes the storyline seemed to go into " hotch-potch" mode.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A brilliant storyline that keeps you totally interested right to the end with some great "twists" along the way. One of the best movies of this genre that I have ever seen. A fantastic cast that makes for some intriguing interaction between the portrayal of their role identity in relation to the performances. Definately a "must see" movie.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
An excellent movie that the whole family enjoyed and all had a good laugh. Great cast, but Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette were fantastic. A very good storyline that could be easily understood and I am sure it related to a lot of family situations. Well worth the watch.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A fantastic fun movie equally as good as the original even though this one is based on the Broadway play. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are brilliant. I was a bit sceptical at first wondering whether or not Broderick would fulfill the role as good as Gene Wilder did, but he comes shining through. Uma Thurman was great and the rooftop scene with the writer was absolutely side splitting laugh a second stuff. Great watching - you will enjoy unless you absolutely hate musicals. Sometimes the singing was a bit over the top and detracted from the story line even though it all made sense.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A generally interesting and entertaining movie with fantastic underwater scenic shots. Not an unfamiliar plot, but enough to keep you interested in the story.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Once the storyline unfolds, this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat with lots of suspense and some horrifying and gory bits. Well worth watching - makes Saw 2 look like a kids movie, but this at least had a good storyline that kept you interested the whole time.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very entertaining film with a different kind of storyline to the norm. Brilliant acting by Dame Judy Dench and Bob Hoskins (as one would expect). Keeps you interested the whole time. Worth watching.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A truly brilliant film. We, and even (non-Christians) know the story, but what a movie. Possibly the only negative comment is the "over the the top" brutality that was inflicted on Jesus. It was sometimes hard to watch the pain, but that's maybe the way it was, after all he did die for us on the cross. Bless the Lord.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
A very good storyline, but a bit of a slow start in which you had to go back and forth between the upbringing of Domino's life. Still, it did make sense in the end. Lot's of action and good performances by the whole cast. Worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
I agree with the other people who reviewed this movie. It is totally pathetic and should never have been made. There is not one redeeming feature about this movie. Don't waste your time or money !
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
A very average movie especially considering Rowan Atknson's talents. I would have preferred to watch an old episode of Black Adder than look at this. Don't bother unless you are an avid Atkinson fan who is prepared to be disappointed.

A brilliant move and an equally brilliant acting portrayal by Jodie Foster. She has never been in a bad one yet. A great original storyline with lots of suspense and drama with an incredible twist near the end. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Enjoy it !!!
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very average movie to begin with (very slow) at times, but does get better towards the end with lots of action and a great twist, although it is reasonably predictable.

A very good storyline, well cast and a great "twist" at the end. Keeps you interested the whole time with a very believeable plot. Lots of suspense and a great performance by Lou Diamond Phillips. Well worth a look.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A very average movie that never really got off the ground.. We would have preferred to see Debra Messing in another episode of Will & Grace because, not like this movie, that was really funny stuff.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A really good movie with a great storyline (albeit sometimes a bit drawn out). A very strong emotional performance by Andie MacDowell (as usual) and also from the supporting cast. Well worth watching
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A reasonably entertaining movie despite being a bit slow in parts at the beginning. A very good performance by Nikki DeLoach as Hope Cassidy in a very believable storyline ( especially in this day and age of computers and espionage). A very good finish to the movie with a couple of great "twists".
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Saw one, saw two. If you've seen Saw 1, then you've seen Saw 2 except it's not saw good, but it'sawful gory. Enough of the "sawing" around. To be straightforward, don't bother unless you are a blood and guts "gore freak".
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
A very good movie with a totally believeable storyline in which Nicole Kidman stands out as the star in the portrayal of her role as the Interpreter. A good performance from Sean Penn and a great backdrop as the United Nations assembly is used for the setting of a significant part of the movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Absolute "crap". Sharon Stone, Dylan McDermott and Tom Sizemore are deserving of much better movie roles than this. They must have been hard up for money ? Phsycological thriller - I don't think so, more like phsycological boredom. Don't bother, unless you're bored and can't find something better to watch and I am sure that you can.!!!
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
Truly a masterpiece of film making and exceedingly accurate according to scripture. A brilliant portrayal of Moses by Sir Ben Kingsley and Christopher Lee was excellent as the Pharoah. Our family watched this together several times and was enthralled with it each time we viewed it. Fantastic !!!
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
This is a really good movie provided you concentrate on the storyline. Good cast and well acted by everyone in it, but I got a bit confused about the ending. Understood most of it, but I think I missed a point somewhere. Maybe some other reviewer can explain it to me.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A great "send-up" movie. I haven't laughed so much for a long time ! Great roles by all in the film especially Samuel Jackson and Emilio Estevez. You will love it too!
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very funny movie with an excellent storyline and a great part played by Steve Carell. Lots of laughs, but certainly not for young children. If you have a good sense of humour you'll love it too. Absolutely loved the waxing scene!
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Suspense? - yes, thriller? - no. If it wasn't for the music soundtrack to help the so called "scary" bits, you would probably fall asleep. A very low grade movie with a relatively unknown cast. Don't waste your time, unless you are totally bored and can't find something better to watch.

A very good movie - good storyline and well acted. Pity about the finish though. It is far better than the original movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Not a very good movie except for the ending which re-establishes a relationship despite all the "crap" of drugs etc. One can relate to this when we realise that we spend most of our life "stuffing" up our life only to realise what we wanted in the first place. There is at least a lesson to be learnt from this movie.

I know this film was nominated for 9 Academy awards and has rave reviews, but my wife and I just couldn't get into it. Too slow and too much chopping and changing for our liking.
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A very average and over rated movie. Lots of overacting by Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez is only there for her good looks. In my opinion Wanda Sykes acting overshadowed everybody else. She was great!
(Maybe) - review by Ian
A fairly entertaining movie if you like Gridiron. Good performances by Adam Sandler & Chris Rock with the obligatory appearance by Burt Reynolds. Not sure if it's as good as the original (Sharkey's Machine), but still an entertaining movie.

Mixed feelings in this household! My son loved it, my wife thought it was good, and me,I couldn't get into it at all. Maybe I have a different sort of sense of humour to the rest of the family. Judge for yourself, if your into (dubbed) comedy martial arts movies. In my mind it didn't work but who am I to say?
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
An excellent action movie albeit a bit of a slow starter. A very good cast portraying their parts with professionalism. Very exciting action in the last half. This movies goes to show how unpredictable the modern science of technology can be - you will understand my drift if you have ever had a computer "do it's own thing" and freeze or whatever. As they say with computer technology " It's great when it's working well but when it's not, there is a complete stuff up" Worth the watch, especially if your into flying and technology.

A very good spine tingling movie with a good storyline but with the usual predictable type of ending for a movie of this genre. Good cast and excellent movie soundtrack. Recommended watching if you like suspense/thriller/horror movies.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Loved every minute of this great thriller/suspense/horror movie. It is one of the best of this genre that I have seen for some time. Franka Potente plays a great role as Kate and the storyline will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Great watching.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very good cast with a great storyline and lots of suspense make this movie a very enjoyable watch. Loved the way the movie built into an excellent climax with a couple of great twists. You should enjoy this one - Kate Hudson was fantastic.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
As movies go this one was pretty bad, despite the fact of the lead being played by Wesley Snipes. Too slow, bad dialogue and not a very interesting storyline, too predictable. Probably one of the worst that Snipes has starred in.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
Very good performances by Rachael Adams and Cillian Murphy make this a very entertaining movie. A good storyline albeit predictable, but had an action packed and unexpected climax. With Wes Craven directing it, I thought it might have been a little more scary than it was, but nonetheless it was still enjoyable and good to watch.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A brilliant concert from one of the world's greatest performers. John Farnham once again enthralls and is at his usual best. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra rise to the occasion with some splendid playing and the sound technicians need to be congratulated on the delicate balance needed (and achieved) between Farnham, his Band and backing singers, and the orchestra. Well done !!
(Excellent) - review by Ian
I haven't seen this movie for about 20 years, but it is still as great as ever. Totally irreverent, always politically incorrect and a total "send up" of Westerns combined with modern humour. A classic that has stood the test of time. Thank God for Mel Brooks. Gene Wilder and Cleavon Little were fantastic too. Love the Count Basie Orch. playing in the desert scene, as well as the "baked bean" cookout. Just great for good old belly laughs. If you haven't seen it it is a "must watch" and if you haven't seen it for a while watch it again - it's great!
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
A great action adventure movie with a very good storyline in the tradition of the older Steven Seagal movies. He went off the "boil" there for a while, but returns in this looking fitter and having lost some weight (and has possibly had a facelift as well). If you are a Seagal fan, you'll love this.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
An excellent remake of an old classic. Plenty of suspense in this adventure/thriller of survival, when communication between people in a desperate situation finally bonding together and great communication levels finally prevail for the betterment of all. Denis Quaid was great, but to me Giovanni Ribisi stole the movie with his portrayal of the eccentric Elliot. A great film to watch, but don't try to compare it to the original. Enjoy it for itself.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A good movie if you can transcend the real and surreal emotion and trauma sequences to understand which is which. I found it extremely helpful to stop the movie halfway through and re-read the Big Pond synopsis dialogue because I was uncertain as to whether she was also a victim of the shooting or not. Having realised that she was also shot but recovered, helped me to understand the rest of the movie. Keep your mind alert and you will enjoy it at least.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
An intense psychological thriller with a great "mind thinking" storyline and an exceptional portrayal by Adrien Brody (as one has come to expect of his work). You really have to concentrate with this one to distinguish exactly what is happening in the time transportation scenes, but it is worth it. Anyone who enjoyed The Butterfly Effect will love this. Great movie!
(Excellent) - review by Ian
As one reviewer put it " you cannot turn your brain off for one minute". You have to watch this movie at least two or three times to fully comprehend the intricateness of the storyline, but it is absolutely brilliant in every way. I wouldn't class it as a "cult" movie though most people seem to do that. Maybe it's just because it is a very deep "thinking person's" movie and one has to have superior intelligence to understand it. Excellent directing by Richard Kelly and an outstanding performance by Jake Gyllenhaal. A must watch movie, but you have to see it more than once. Enjoy !
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
A great concert, very enjoyable with really good balance from the sound guys. It just goes to prove that our John Farnham can proudly equal an outstanding performance with the best of them and Tom Jones is "one of the best". I particularly loved it in the latter half of the concert when both backing bands and singers shared equal billing without getting in each other's way. WELL DONE TO ALL CONCERNED, especially to two great performers of the calibre of John Farnham and Tom Jones. Enjoy !!!

Having read most of the reviews, our family must be in the minority. We thought it was a sensational film by Spielberg and the roles played by Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning were brilliant. I personally have seen the original three times and while it was "earth-shattering" at the time, it doesn't hold a candle to this contemporary version of H.G.Wells classic story with fantastic visual effects and a magnificent music score by John Williams. Enjoy it for what it is - a fantastic experience !

The issue of cloning has been put to rest? When I started watching this movie I wasn't quite sure where the storyline was going, but when they escaped from the "cloning institution" it became a very good action packed movie with a purposeful storyline and excellent performances by Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johannson as one would expect. Love the twist near the end when the "victim" becomes the "sponsor". You either have to understand, or just watch the first part of the movie to get to the "nitty gritty" Definately worth a watch though. A very different concept for a storyline.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A brilliant movie, fantastic cast especially the roles portrayed by LL Cool J and Kathryn Morris. Val Kilmer and Christian Slater are always great. A very different kind of suspense/thriller movie with a great story line. Keeps you interested the whole time with lots of action and trying to guess who the killer is. A great twist at the finish and superb musical composition for the movie soundtrack. Watch this, you will be enthralled !

I thought that a movie with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Lambert would be at least enjoyable, buy I was wrong. I had trouble understanding the plot and tried to reinvent the story in my mind as the movie progressed but to no avail. I waded through the whole movie thinking that something would make sense, but it didn't. You would have to be deperate to watch this movie. I hope that there is someone out there who can prove me wrong.

A good movie with enough in the storyline to keep you interested the whole time. An excellent portrayal by Martin Landau with a great twist in the story after they meet Eddie the preacher played by Kris Kristofferson and begin bonding in a more understanding way that they do have quite a lot in common despite the kidnapping situation.

A very good suspense/thriller movie with a reasonably unknown but excellent cast. Lots of suspense and action especially in the last half of the movie. Definately worth watching.

Everyone in the family loved it. It really does take you back to the days of the comic book heroes ( Spiderman, Superman etc). Just kick back and enjoy. You too will love it. Really good family entertainment

One of the best movies that I have seen. A good but simple story line helped by the Quenton Tarantino touch, so it's not surprising. A fantastic cast, with Mickey Rourke probably portraying one of the best acting roles of his career. Great performances by Bruce Willis and especially Jessica Alba (to die for). Great visual presentation, very different from the norm. A must see movie.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Ian
An excellent B grade movie, full of action and suspense with a great storyline line. Chris Tucker is fantastic even though sometimes a bit "over the top" with the motor mouth, but nonetheless a very enjoyable movie. Watch it, you'll enjoy.

Not a classic, but none the less an outstanding movie with a brilliant thought provoking story line. One of the most enjoyable I have seen for some time. It is the sort of movie that keeps you thinking about it long after you have finished watching it. Hopefully we can all learn something about tolerance and shared humanity. A fantastic cast who portray their roles with true professionalism, except for Tony Danza who is only in it for two minutes - probably just as well !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very good movie - full of suspense and kept you waiting for what was going to happen next, but despite the suspense it didn't have much of a storyline and continuity. It spent too much time going backwards and forwards between the present and the past and one tended to lose the plot a bit, but still very enjoyable.

A great movie! Christian Bale is superb, as one would expect. I haven't seen him in a bad movie yet. It was great to learn about the beginning of Batman. Wonderfully cast, great special effects and a storyline that kept you rivetted to the screen. A must see for lovers of good adventure movies, especially if you are a Batman fan.

An above average B grade movie, well acted, good story line and good portrayal of the actors in their repesctive roles.

What a surprise package this one was. I read the synopsis and thought - this could be good and apart from Antonio Sabato Jr., I hadn't heard of any one else in the cast. It was an excellent movie with a great story line, full of suspense and kept you interested the whole time. Definately worth watching.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
An enjoyable movie with a very different storyline. If you like the idea of someone with telekinetic powers taking control of a 5 tonne truck or turning over cars - then this is for you. Well acted by most of the players except for Lou Gosset Jr who seemed to rush the delivery of his lines and wasn't very believable in the portrayal of his role.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A good movie but is very slow at the beginning, makes up for it later. Use the ff button discriminatley, but while other views say the end is worthwhile - I don't think so. It's your decision. Probably worth a watch if your are bored and looking for something to watch if you're lonely.

A predictable plot and storyline that makes for an average " made for TV" movie. Well acted by the cast of soapie stars and has a good ending with a great twist.

Until now, I haven't seen Jack Nicholson in anything but great movies. What happened with this one? Maybe it's because it was Sean Penn's first attempt as a writer/Director. It starts off fairly well but plunges into mediocrity from which it never recovers. Definately not recommended.
(Don't bother!) - review by Ian
Great movie with a good story line and very well acted by all, particularly Ethan Hawke as the reluctant cop in charge. A couple of great twists in the story help to grip you to your seat. Very enjoyable indeed.

I found this film excellent. Joseph Finnens was brilliant as Luther and Peter Ustinov, even though a small part that he played was his usual artistic self. A wonderful historical movie well made.
(Excellent) - review by Ian
A very good movie with an intriguing plot, well acted by all concerned, especially Michael Caine. I am surprised that his character was not developed more in the storyline.

An attention getting movie. Good plot but was drawn out at times. Use the ff button discriminately to these parts but otherwise quite enjoyable.

A very good music DVD. Straight ahead jazz from one of the "giants" of jazz musicians. You'll love it, especially if you are a Clark Terry fan.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
A strong compelling movie, mainly because of Gene Hackman's great performance (as always), but if you are a John Grisham fan like me and having read the book, there were too many changes to the storyline, but still a very enjoyable movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Ian
Some excellent playing from all the geat musicians on board, especially Dave Grusin, Dave Valentin on Flute and Carlos Vega (Drums). If you're into Jazz and Jazz fusion you'll love it too.

Fantastic movie, the whole family enjoyed it immensely. Great animation and "voice overs". You'll love it!

It took too long to set up the story line. Very slow and almost boring for the first quarter of the movie, but you can't fast forward it because you will miss the whole purpose of the rest of the movie which is good.

Vry good for Basie fans, especially historians who want all the "clips" from the early years. Good interviews with Basie musicians(and others).

Fans of Billy Cobham especially and Jazz fusion music generally, this is a must watch DVD even though it is from the late '90's. Check out the fantastic playing from a brilliant group of multi-national musicians, especially the keyboard player and the Guitarist. Great jazz fusion music !
(Excellent) - review by Ian
Outstanding Jazz fusion concert, albeit a bit short. Chick Corea at his best and excellent contributions by outstanding musos - John Pattitucci and Dave Weckl. Would stand up against the best of today even though it was recorded in 1987

I have always liked and admired HH & Miles Davis, but I'm afraid I didn't enjoy this one bit. It is too "over the top" for my taste, but fanatical Herbie H fans of electronic effects music will probably like it.

An excellent movie. Congratulations on them "baring their soul". I wonder how many other groups/Bands would have the guts to do that. A must see for Metallica fans especially.

A great Music DVD, especially for Steve Morse fans. He is a brilliant Guitarist, but then I am biased as I always have been a big fan.

If you're a Metallica fan the entire concert of S & M should not be missed. It is outstanding in every respect and special congratulations to the sound technicians for the great balance between Metallica and the orchestra.

I have always liked Metallica, but have never seen them on a music clip or DVD before. I thought it was brilliant and such a great marriage of sound between Metallica and the Symphony Orchestra. I congratulate the sound recordists for their professionalism. One would think it would have been a "nightmare" to sort out the balance of such epic proportions.

Great backing Band. The first half of the concert was great, but the second half got very boring. More of Lenny Kravitz and less Prince vocals. His voice seems very thin, but he is an excellent musician and displays amazing showmanship.
