A lovely, articulate representation of the dilemmas of growing old, and rather good timing with the big spread in our newspapers about 'rational' euthanasia. Plowwright is magnificent, and the Ludovic character wonderfully understated..

Enjoyed this movie. Casting of the mums really good and the kids, too. Have discussed the situation with friends - thought-provoking.

A very 'hammy' dated movie, but you can have fun picking out familiar faces - albeit a big bit younger. Footy is not my thing, but I had a laugh, and the scenes with the Swans playing looked authentic enough.

Coen Bros black comedy, but not very subtle, sick. Frances McDormand looks like she had a good time though

A big nostalgia trip for me - one of my faves as a kid. These days it looks very tame, but that guy dould sing, which is more than we get with most of the modern musicals. Angela L. hamming more than usual, so cliched.

I enjoyed this movie, good casting (lots of familiar faces), and an interesting side to the star the TV show 'Smash' is also about.

I loved the movie, especially the way the horses had been trained. My husband was very impressed by the war scenes too. Casting excellent.
I have just been to see the stage show, and was not disappointed, after all the hype about the horse puppets. It was truly wonderful.

This was cast very well, especially with the lovely Eric as Henry. I have been reading 'Wolf Hall' and was interested to see another aspect of the Boleyn saga.

No sub-titles! I thought Mirren was excellent, but without sub-titles I could not understand Cromwell's dialogue. It didn't help a hearing-impaired person that the 'background' music was so loud when the characters were speaking. Apart from that I was impressed at how seamless the blending of real footage of the Diana stuff in the movie.

Enjoyed the many scenic shots of Yack and surrounds, but the acting and dialogue pretty wet.

Daniel Day Lewis is awesome, and Brenda B. gorgeous as usual. But I was very disappointed that there were no sub-titles, so the accent meant I didn't understand much of the dialogue.

Story a bit slow, but very impressive photography. Not enough seen of Frances O, but she is lovely. We were very moved.

A really well-made story, and it has captured the essence of the book so well; casting brilliant.

I enjoyed this adaptation, but felt there was something of the grimness of the book missing. The lead role of Jane was cast well.

Rather slow, but very moving. I don't know much about Maori traditions and heritage, but will appreciate them more now

I'm not into F1, but I thought this doco was brilliant; moving and real. Husband was mesmorized - of course he knew why/how/what, and kept a running commentary .....,

This movie is certainly showing its age. But it was good to catch up with it again, after all this time.

This movie is so confronting, its subject quite appalling. and the casting and acting a real credit to the makers.Emily Watson is totally believable.

An engrossing doco; I was continually amazed at how un-self-conscientious most of the students and teachers are, considering how close the cameras followed them around.

This movie is one of the cleverest and funniest comedies ever to come from the USA. I have seen it countless times, and still find something new to laugh out loud at. I start chuckling at the first intro scene - the theme song is so funny; and I'm sure Mel Brooks has put in gags and references that I haven't 'got' yet....

I just love this movie - and having sub-titles to get the full dialogue made it more enjoyable second-time around. (I can't understand 'American', as I'm partially deaf.) The way the scetchy-art effect merges into real, the music, the poignancy of the actors, the freshness of production, it is a class job.

It must be over 30 years since I first saw this film, and I still remembered so many details! Farrow is so good. I watched it with my 22YO daughter - she was blown away. She is always sneering because I don't like her 'scarey' movies and can't believe I would be able to love this one! Reckon I was the cause of her sleepless night this time!
