This series is well worth a second watch. I saw it on the ABC, but enjoyed it even more this time. A social history of Melbourne after WW1; well-known landmarks; fantastic costumes, script and actors.

BBC TV at its best. Sit back and go back in time to a society in transition. Brilliant.

If you are unfamiliar with the story, or missed Alex Guinness as George Smiley in the first TV adaptation series of the book, perhaps check out first the interview with John Le Carre by Gary Oldman and Paul Smith included on the CD. The small details deliberately included in each scene are amazing. Well worth several viewings.

A glimpse of family life in suburban Melbourne at the outbreak of WW2 - the Sullivans and their family, relationships, neighbours, prejudices, underlying racism. Excellent attention to detail and great viewing: a journey back in time for those who lived during those years, an insight into how life was then for younger viewers

Based on the true story of a courageous and intrepid Irish journalist, Veronica Guerin. It shows what one individual is able to achieve - but at what cost?

Brilliant script; great characters, entertaining and compelling viewing for fans of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson living in 21st century London. Find the references to the original stories.references

A DVD for all Inspector Morse fans; a great opportunity to see more of Oxford and its colleges.

Excellent series for anyone who loves British drama at its best. Ian Richardson's brilliant as the PM, and one often wonders whether he or his wife is more Machiavellian.

Highly recommend. The series was shown on a commercial TV channel - the constant interruption by numerous ads, often repeated during one break - has put me off watching commercial TV. Enjoy.
