Bob Randall delivers a very one sided,tilted view of the aboriginal problems of Today. He harps on the past, the wrongs done to the race.The past is that!! The Past it can not be changed, it is history. There is no redemption. Saying sorry does not heal,neither is distributing money or land titles. Bob Randall near the end suggests that we all should work together for a better satisfactory future. But no working solution put forward. We all know what are the problems, but while the Communities close up/resist changes, improvements are impossible. After watching this DVD one feels that the end of thestory is cut off, living the feeling that the "poen", that What should be the future and How to achieve it is missing. One feelsonly deep despair.

On par if not better(becouse of the era and temperement difference)then the original '70-s version.May be the Australian actors and director more down to earth natural performers.It is a must see,but recommend seeing both version to appreciate the difference.Enjoyed very,very much.

The best Whodoneit we seen this year !! It is a total cliff hanger to the very end. Halle Berry & Bruce Willis is dinamyte combination.

Great movie.Life is full of suprises and one should and can enjoy it to the end,all it needed is wisdom and curage.

I love Sigi,but apart from that this movie is top notch in the recent (21st century) trillers.It is up to par,maybe better than any of the Hannibal trilogy.I'm certainly wishfull for sequences !!!

Slight resemblance to the tragedy what occured on the Barrier Reef near Cairns a few years ago.How it happened that the couple left behind,and the sequence of events after are assumed,but feasible.Gets one thinking!!!

Light hearted cheaply produced spoof,were every one of Stiller family is performing.Owen Wilson as usual hillarious.All in all,bit over the hill,but entertaining.

A lot of stupid criticism was laid on this movie by people without immagination.The whole concept - what would happen if the "earth warming" they were right,the gadgetry what evolved to survive ,the feeling and reaction of the people inherited the conditions is superbly presented. One can see that something like this could happen.Top marks. What ever the reason one must see this utopistic saga.

Excelent in all respect !!! I've read the book(recomended)and was worried that some of the story could not be interpreted into visual. Pleasant surprise !! This movie is better, than the book!! All people involved in it(poducer,director,actors,cameramen,right down to the coffee boy)can be very proud of their achievments.It's a must see,but read the book first!!

Iy is a very intense!??! love story,one could say it's verging on the kinky(more than oneway)Heaps of nudity,full frontal and backtal, but meaningless nudity, for nudity's sake.Still some people might, could enjoy this show.

A quite,but excelent comedy,showing the everyday hillarious goings on in the "turd bussiness".We aussies show that everyday life can be funny,moving and entertaining without going in extremities,like the Yanks doing.

Very good aussie flick. It nicely shows the difference of living for the "squatters"and "selectors".Even in the 18th century the class difference was enormous.This movie is also one of the first,not very clear attempt to picture the struggle for "womens lib" as early as the 18th century.

Good movie,shows the dirty side of any armed conflict were politicians giving the orders.It is a bit one sided,because there is good/bad, reason/madness, determination/passion on both sides. There is no black and white only shades of gray,and the loosers are the people who have very little to do with the conflict.

Very well put together,easy to absorb-educational documentary. Actually young Phil Cousteau appears more than Stevie, but "Mr.Macho Himself"comes through and handles stonefishes, sea snakes and crocodiles(up to 16 feet) with the usual Irwinesq nonchalance.

Excelent allrounder.Acting,direction,photography all above average.Throughly enjoyed the exposure of the deadly word of big monopoly.Sierra Leone in civil upheaval. Terrible human sufferings, but a relatively happy ending.

It is a newer longer version of the old horse,wich is just about flogged to death.Still a good entertaining flick on a cold night, even if I would not write home to Mum about it!!

This is a classic from the good old days. When there was no stress,no peer competition and the simple things of life(like a little house and an FJ holden)was affordable for all Aussies.A good time meant down on the beach,or a picnic in the Nat.park allways with the family.The ultimate relaxation was a BeerBQ with your mates and families.It should be aq compulsory "to watch" for the 80's,90's generations to realise that family and mateship is more important than a swimming pool,or a Ferrari,even a top executive position.

IF one want to look into the horror word of drug/extorsion of present day U.S. this is a good start.As we seems to imitate everything american,this movie also shoulde be a warning for us!! Highly recommended.

It is avery intersting show of the life and strugle of one of the early "stars" of the silver screen.The story is based on the biography written by her daughter,but it does not pull punches,so it's amazing and belivingly thruthfull version.All known she isn't my favorite singer,but the story and the and acting,specially Judy Davis,was enthralling.

This flick is absolutly marvelous. A very witty send up for Stalinism(russian type kommunism),the Oz version of kommunism and unionism in the '90s(present day too??!!)For me coming from behind the "Iron Curtain" it was an absolute blast.

Well made,informative and heart warming documentary on the life cycle and the species threathening viral disease of our largest marsupial carnivore.The T.D. is a misunderstud, lovable and allmost gentle creature,with a big noise(dog who barks,never bites!!)We loved it.

It's O.K. Not the best,but interesting to see how the yank marines are trained in the 60's.One wonder how it is done now?!?Humanelly!! Politically correctly!!??

Being born magyar I'm naturally biassed about the slant of this story.Never the less apart from the storyline,the movie was well directed and the selection and performance of the cast was excelent.If the storyline were to be less biassed I would say this movie is classic.Good example of the living condition and deprivation the people(not just the soldiers) of Eastern/Central Europe endured in the Continental part of WW2,Wich was far more horrid than the Island hopping of the Yanks.

Good movie.Well directed and the action/acting was enthralling.It's about the bigotry and racial intolerance of the 50's/60's,so beware. A nice evening entertainment.

This is a must see movie!! Excelent, as it shows people's true feeling about interracial relations on street level. Should be a lesson to all as it is not only in the U.S. but all over the world,where the population is mixed.

South African equivalent to the City of God,but this story is more touchingly humane.The good in us will allways surface/win.It's an eye opener to the life of children/young people in the slums of S.A.I loved it and recomend this movie to sentimental viewers

It is O.K. if you are a Stallone fan.Otherwise it is only reasonable, no where near the original movie.Stallone does not seems/acts smart enough to carry out an investigation/plan this magnitude.

Cate Blanchett is excelent(as usual) and the supporting cast is supportive.There is a couple of nice twists in the story, so all in all it is good entertaining movie. Worth seeing.

It's an old Caine movie,from 30 odd years ago and made early in his carier.Still it's good watching,and interesting to see the change of his style!! Recomended for a rainy eve.

It's a western comedy in the Jack Nicholson style.Very funny, and as a bonus Mary Steenburgen is not just beautifull,but plays the part well.(Wander what happened to her???)

Only the Disney crew can do it!! Excelent survival story,well photographed and the K9 stars performed beautifully. Sad story with a happy ending.

Very good acting,directing and camera work,but the importance was the story which was also great.Her life was cut short,but the life time work and achievment of Dian Fossey was monumental.One could say that her achievment is only a small brick but remember small bricks make great buildings.

Good show about the problems,growing pains and maturation of teenage girls.Throughly enjoyed but the english subtitles are a must,as sound is bad. Don't try without!!

Excelent movie about the estabilishing the Windmill theatre in London. Mirroring the life,aspirations and moral outlook between the two wars(to end ALL wars) Acting and directing is superb.The sections showing the bombing of London very good. Worth seeing.

The legend is loosely interpreted,as it is not a medieval political struggle,but a love story,with no "correctness".Otherwise it is a very good enjoyable epic,with love woven into it. Well played and directed, and the scenery/props are marvelous.(wish they meke a movie abt. King Arthur with the same set up) Must see if you want an excitingly nostalgic evening.

Enjoyable!! The life in todays unisex army still not rosie,but this young widow,lost in her sorrow and founding herself again by joining up. A drastic seachange working well.

This movie is the first part of a two part treat.The second movie is "Meet the Fockers"(which is the better show)The plot of this is a bit far out,but still the movie is enjoyable.Anyhow,if you realy want enjoy M.F. you should watch this first.

I'm rated this as the best of the series. It seems that add ons are made to cash in on the success of No1.(Beside I do not realy like TC, his acting is lacking conviction.)

It's nice to see that as little as a 100 years ago there still was a degree of decency in mankind.That even the middle of war they find time and excuse to show goodwill and understanding. Unfortunatelly recent world news proving that this trait is no more.As a reminder this old movie is worth seeing!

This is the latest and best version. But one should see the original(first)movie to compare to appreciate the advancement of cinema technology and acting.Also Roman Polansky is one of the best directors.

A good Colleen McCullough story lukewarmly presented. Only the good acting is the saviour of this mid 80's effort.Not the usual zany aussie flick, but still enjoyable.

Enjoyed tremenduously.It is politically incorect,but it is how our indigenous folks live in the outback.Funny one way, and sad in another.Anyhow it is their way of life and we all have to accept and respect it.

Another bonza aussie flick.Full of the golden 70's-80's colonial actors/actresses. And when the director run short,he imported a few good ones from Pomland.A good comedy to watch with nibblies and a dram of sherry.

A walk down memory lane.This movie is an old time classic,but one have to know who is Gary Cooper and adore Gace Kelly. Could keep watching till the cows come home!!!

It is a very interesting,well written,well directed movie. It shows the dismal living conditions, the loneliness and the basic behaviour of the 19.century settlers.The only drawback of the movie is the sound,wich is woefull,hardly understanable.(Not only the mostly wispered dialogues,but also the bad irish/english accents.)Luckily there is english subtitle available,so I suggest avail yourself to it,as otherwise it is an enjoyable experience.

Fair documentary,but it should not have taken up so much time talking about/showing the researchers. The STARS,that is the Emperor Penquins had only a supporting role.Bit disappointing,but still enjoyable.

The story is a classic,it does not need praise.But Peter O'Toole & David Tennant take it to new heights. In facts the whole cast's performance is superb.This movie could be the classic interpretation of Casanova's life story.

AUSSIE movies are the BEST. Young Kidman is much better ,than the mature one. Seems that Hollywood cramped her style?!!? Elliott's performance is excepcional! The direction and storyline soperb. All in all I loved it. Warning,it is a three part series,so make sure you get the two discs together.

An aussie movie with yankie flavour. All three of them Neill , Kidman & Zane give an excelent perfomance. In facts I venture to say it is Kidman's best to date! Enjoyable suspense thriller,a movie one should see.

This movie is a classic portray of the era of the mid 19th century. Good story,well played and directed.Enjoyable,engaging and very suspense full 3hours.A word of warning,this movie is in two parts on one disk,so when the movie seems to be finished and the list of players come on, wait. The second part(the gist of the story)is on the same disk.ENJOY.

A classic horror movie. As good as a western made flick,but only the connoisseurs of Kabuki theatre could fully enjoy it.

Excelent bittersweet,humor laced tragedy.It is allmost accepted norm of present day marriages etc..... Wife(female partner)at home, having babies. Husband(male partner)at work,philandering. Nicholson and Streep bringing the problem in focus beautifully, but the story stops short of solution,pity.(becouse there is non?!?!) Enjoyed watching!!!

I did not see the series on TV,and I'm glad that asked for it from Bigpond. The show is 4x30min. from courting to childcare. It is well made, very informative and entertaining.I've learned a lot about aussie animals. Good movie!!!

Easily understandable DVD.Explaining the likeness of deep sea exploration to space travel.Coincidentaly showing very interesting views/formations of the sea floor and weird marine creatures.

Great movie, showing the life and strugle of one of the geatest composers.(Most of them become great after death,sruggling through life) This picture shows the real Mozart,his magnificent music,his genius and his struggles in arigid era.
