Really different, refreshingly unHollywood. This kept the full attention of both me and my ten year old son. Visually exciting but more than just special effects. Characters were very human in a magic setting.

Brilliant visuals, fast- paced excitement, iconic characters all make this a classic. 'Director's Cut' improves on the original, with a more realistic ending and without the silly voice-over. Seems closer to reality now than when it was made in 1983.
