I was expecting this to be more of a comedy but it wasn't really... It did have many funny moments but it was also pretty dark in some bits too. A great Johnny Depp - Tim Burton movie.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the other Studio Ghibli works I've seen. This one didn't feel like it has a strong message like Nausicaa or Princess Mononoke.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this movie as it was made in 1984... But all the other Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki I've seen have been great. This one is no exception! It look amazing in Blu-ray with great colours and visuals. The movie itself doesn't seem outdated or old in any way, in fact it felt as new as all the other Hayao Miyazaki animations I have seen. The storyline is told very well and has much about how mankind has polluted the world and their disrespect for nature. Great movie - a must for any Hayao Miyazaki fans! I loved this, my favourite Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli animation yet. The story was great as usual and was told in a compelling way. There is much focus on how people and animals/nature live and the destructiveness of mankind. A touching and visually stunning animation, highly recommended. Cool moive, one thing I've learn't from it is Don't mess with the Cartel...

Such a great series, It is awesome to have a very adult series that isn't just trying to be over the top... Meaning, the violence and sex scenes feel natural and not forced here, making it feel much more realistic.

I love the entire Mass effect series, so I was looking forward to this one! Right away I was pleased with the movie, at the very start of the movie there is a great fight scene. It was awesome to see the biotics in a movie form, they did a great job combining these characters with the everyone else. I love Flight of The Concords and Hamish and Andy so I was excited to get this movie out. I loved it, it wasn't exactly a comedy, or a drama... I think if people going into this film expecting it to just be laughs may be a little disappointed (SEE BELOW!) Hamish played such a great character, it had some great scenes in there with some beautiful footage of NZ. Lots of laughs and cringe moments!

I loved this movie! The second part was better than the first! Over-all this whole series was great in my opinion. The second installment was awesome and I think is my favourite animated Batman movie that I’ve ever seen! The difference with this series though is that it is really a very different Batman that I’m used to… This Batman is much older and is somewhat tarnished by his old age, making him a little more violent and takes less crap from the bad-guys. I really loved this movie, it was such a wierd storyline and I love that kind of thing... The story is like a guy writing a movie but then in the movie it's what he's talking about in his movie he is making... If that makes sense! I just love the ending - Christopher Walken's last scene is awesome!

I really e joyed is one. The movie itself is pretty odd... It is more of a serious movie than a comedy (I'm sure you were thinking it with Steve Carell) Has some parts where it is funny, sad, romantic - an interesting take on the "end of world" theme!

This is probably the first movie ever that had me thinking... WTF?! at the end... This is a very strange movie, I did enjoy it though although, some very strong themes in Killer Joe it isn't for the faint of heart, that's for sure! It certainly earns its R rating! Was very interesting seeing Matthew McConauhey in such a different role... Why hasn't he played more serious roles like this in his career!

After this movie finished I really wasn't sure what to think... It took me a day or two to make up my mind, at first the movie just sort of ended... It just abruptly ends, but I think it had a very strong message to it. If people had the choice to live longer healthier lives at the expense of others I really think they would. The movie is focused around a small group of people that are born to donate organs until they die. The movie itself is not very upbeat, most of it is pretty depressing... An interesting concept! Ps - Keira Knightly doesn't have a very big role if you got it out because she is in it...

This was great! The original graphic novel is my all time favourite one! This goes more indepth than the movie, which is great... The art style was cool, it isn't so much an animation but more-so moving pictures if that makes any sense... The one thing initially I found annoying was that there is only one person voicing the characters - but after a little while I got use to it and it becomes more like someone telling the story in a way. One of my favourite movies. This is much more likely to be the reality of a super hero. Great Graphic novel and great movie too! A must for any super hero/comic book fan

One of the all time best scifi movies. Probably the first to play with the whole "what is intelligence" idea with man and machine

I do love a fantastic animation. I have been hoping to watch for a while now the new DC animation Batman movie called “Batman the Dark Knight Returns Part 1” I'm now a confessed Blu-ray snob now so of course I rented the blu-ray version... The actual movie was much different to what I have seen up until recently this movie had a a lot older Batman that had retired... (I am guessing this is where Christopher Nolan got the idea for the latest live action Batman movie - which was awesome by the way!) This older Batman is more cynical and brought to drinking to ease his pain of a broken Gotham City... The story begins with a close to retirement Commissioner Gordon speaking about a new gang in the streets of Gotham named “the mutants” This gang known as mutants have put Gotham at an all-time low with murders increasing, abductions, robberies and motiveless crimes running ramped... Eventually seeing all this day in day out on the TV Bruce decides that he can no longer take it and the Batman must return! As Batman substantially older and out of practise than previous he's slower and it takes much more out of him, but he isn’t messing around... This Batman is much more ruthless and is out to hurt he still stays accurate to the Batman morals though meaning he still doesn’t kill anyone... Just seriously injure... The movie isn’t too long, only about 75 minutes but it was just enough to get the story across well. On the special features they had a sneak preview of Batman the Dark Knight Part 2 due out in winter of 2013... So much better than the original... They get it right with out the cheesy-ness of the original. Much of it was similar but there were some changes to the story for the better. The movie isn't set on mars now but still about the current government and revel troops fighting back. The wife character in this one was so much better, she was prettttyy scary! The special effects were great, I think because I only just saw the original a month ago and not in 1990 when it was made has made me see that the first has aged very much. Overall a great action movie better than the original movie.

I loved this, great animation, awesome voice acting - anything Christian Bale is always good. I'm really surprised that it is a Disney film as well... If you like animation like me or anime.... even just weirder movies than this one is for you.

For some reason I had never even heard of the movie Adventureland until the other day. I’ve been a member of Quickflix for a while now and with the release of the new twilight movie, they had all the Kristen Stewart movies on the front page. Recently as well I have watched a couple of Jesse Eisenberg films too so I thought why not… To my surprise when I started to watch the movie there were many pretty big names in the movie such as Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Reynolds, Kristen Stewart… A few people I’ve spoken to didn’t seem to like the movie but I don’t know why… In the movie Jesse Eisenberg‘s character pretty much finishes college and gets a crappy job like many people… which I can relate to that! The story seemed really believable as throughout the film the characters just go to work, not enjoy it and live for the weekend – like 99% of people out there with a job although it is exaggerated a little to make it a bit more fun. It has a great soundtrack with plenty of music by Lou Reed originally from Velvet Underground which are a fantastic band – so naturally i liked the soundtrack… The acting was good and overall a fun movie that I seemed to have missed somehow. Adventureland had good character development as well, A good movie to watch on the weekend! Many people didn’t seem to like but I don’t know why!

Very boring and pointless.... It only went for 90mins but it felt more like hours...

I think if you are expecting a movie like the old Alien movies, you may be a little dissapointed as It isn't as action packed as the older movies. If you look at it as a movie on it's own, I think you'll enjoy it much more. Plenty of cool sci fi ideas and different to what I though it would be. 3.5/5

This has been the only hand held video style movie I have liked. It felt believable, that it would be how people would act with those powers. The story was good and unique too.

Concept is hilarious and I can totally see this happening to humanity.

A few people I know didn't like this movie, but I however enjoyed this one. I think if you go into the film thinking it's just a comedy you may be disapointed. It has plenty of funny moments, but it is more of a drama movie. I think Segal makes great movies.

Very nice modern western. I really enjoyed Pierce Brosnan in this role, the start of the movie was great, as well as Liam Neeson.. Great cinematography as well. 3.5/5

I didn't get a lot of the story and it just sort of ended, but looked very cool, perhaps if you have read the manga you may get more out of it.

Very suspenseful movie, probably the first one I've been on the edge of my seat the whole time. It does this with out much violence too which is refreshing, liked Russell in this one.

Over the top awesome animations, Wipeout game meets pod racer scenes from star wars.

Probably the best boxing movie ive seen, Christian Bale was excellent as usuall.

Great tv show, good story, characters, intense scenes

A little cheesy at times but I really liked the concept of the film. A nice scifi film.

This show really creeped me out at times very tense story, good show so far. Usually not a fan of zombie movies but I really enjoy post apocalyptic type of stories but they have combined the, well.

I quite enjoyed the story of this film. 3 1/2

Leo was very good in this movie, perfect for the part. Definitely recommend if you like Clint Eastwood movies.

Nice mix up of two genres, good action film

Michael Shannon was very concincing in this one, a little slow at tijnes byt still a great low budget film to watch.

This is robot rocky - a movie about fighting robots and an underdog robot to add to that, how can you go wrong with that! Any one could enjoy this movie.

Probably THE strangest movie I've ever seen. The whole idea of someone thinking of this movie is fascinating to me. The best John Cusack movie I've seen too, if you like weird movies then this one's for you!

I'm not ever normally a fan of sports films, but I enjoyed this. It was an interesting story and I thought brad Pitt was good, best movie in a while I think and great to see Jonah Hill in something not a comedy .

This is advertised as the most scary movie made... But most of it nothing happens at all and then just ends. The scariness is just jumpy kind, which is probably like 10 mi utes of the movie max, which would be ok if they had a decent story line, can't see how there are three of them now...

I think this might have been what JJ was trying to do with Cloverfield - as Cloverfield was terrible He has done SO much better with this movie. I think anyone would be able to enjoy this - young or old.

I'm a fan of bizzare films, so of course I enjoyed this one! I really enjoyed the dialogue in this one and it was fun to finally see such a well talked about classic. It was also strange to see a young Malcolm McDowell, as I've only ever seen him as an old actor.

I loved this movie - It is a realistic version of Kick Ass. Or how any person would actually be like if they tried to be a super hero. Both leading roles were great and Ellen Page was really funny. If you don't want a graphic or as violet movie, stick with Kick Ass (Which is still a really cool movie).

A strange plot, which I like. So if you like strange movies with weird plots then this is for you.

I think they did a good job with this one. Seemed to be more story than in other super hero movies and didn't just finish like alot of other ones. Was not sure how Ryan Reynolds would do but he did a good job I think.

Ahhh so intense! - love this season.

I think Louis Theroux is the best documentary maker, he makes really interesting shows that aren't bias and is never rude or angry when disagreeing with people. Hope he makes many more series.

MIND - BLOWN

I enjoyed the animation on this movie, probably the best on a DC animation. The story focuses more on Gordon which is a nice change and It was also great to hear Bryan Cranston as Gordon as well, would recommend for any Batman fan - 3.5 stars

A very "Artsy" film... not much music and HEAPS of wispering, couldn't even here it without the subtitles on. Gave it 15mins then skipped through the rest - the story seemed really good though.

This version has a much longer introduction - great for any big fans of the original movie

Very good ending to this season, everything all comes together in the last few episodes.

A bit slow and the Batman character wasn't very cool at all and they got him all wrong - Batman would never use guns or kill anyone... Jack Nicholson was probably the only decent part of the movie.

Loved this movie, Bale totally looks the part as he is VERY skinny and gaunt looking adding to his character. Very good thriller movie with an interesting end.

A very suspenseful movie for me, Robin Williams was very good. Recommended if you're looking for a good thriller that isn't violent.

I really liked the filming of this movie, it was made to look like an older movie which made it feel more authentic. It would have to be the best Collin Ferrell movie I have seen also. I really liked the characters in the film as well as they felt like real people.

A great movie that shows a whole other side to football and the importance of having a friends back. Is pretty violent in some parts but I really liked this movie.

A great soundtrack, loved all the music from it. The movie quality wasn't the best but that added to the independent feel to the movie, but the characters and story were still good. An enjoyable movie with good music.

A funny series with a few funny appearances with Will Ferrell

I loved the animation in this as well as all the characters. A fun movie and has a nice little message to it as well. Very enjoyable

Was pretty painful in some parts at how dumb it was, but it did have it's funny moments. It ended rather well I thought which brought the whole movie up I think.

Doesn't actually contain any interviews with Neil Young but has some cool video footage in it. Was interesting to see some buffalo Springfield stuff but I didn't really find anything new in it.

A bit of a strange movie. The actuall story was very interesting but there isn't alot of dialogue and when there is most of it is the thoughts of the main female character - more so narrated. And when the American Indians talk there isn't any subtitles. It is a bit of an arty movie. It has some really cool scenery as well, which is probably the main part of the film as it creates an atmosphere to the film.

It was a good movie but I don't see why everyone is saying it's such an amazing movie.

I found this hard to follow and it doesn't really explain the characters too well. It just seems like alot of non connecting character in this. It was still okay to watch I just found the story hard to follow.

Although the film perhaps was a small budget, I think it adds to the feel of the movie, as it's set in the outback in 1800s Australia. Dennis Hopper did a great job as David Morgan and I think this movie was really good and worth watching.

Very entertaining movie. A large part of the movie was his journey getting into Tibet and the fact that it is based on a true story makes it even more enjoyable.

Great acting from Al Pachino and Johnny Depp. Probably one of the best mafia/cop movie I've seen and It's based on true events which makes it even more enjoyable. One of the best Al Pachino movies I have watched as well.

I loved this film, Leonardo DiCaprio is such a great actor. The story was not what I expected and different to most other movies I have seen.

I thought this was a pretty good movie, more so 3.5 stars. It is long but still interesting for me.

I remember the first time I saw this I didn't like it much, but now that I'm older I think I was able to enjoy it much more. Not as much action/fight scenes in this movie as the others but it sets up the story and many of the characters. They did a great job bringing it from the books to film. Highly Recommended.

Every time I see a Christian Bale movie the more I like him. He was really cool in this film and I thought his character was very interesting - showing how people can become messed up after being in war.

I found the plot for this movie was a little confusing, and alot of it too focused on the actuall murder. I thought it was a bit too long an changed directions too much. Would be more 2.5 stars

I love Clint Eastwood's movies, he is a very good as an actor and director. Entertaining movie the whole way through and a great ending.

It was strange seeing Clint Eastwood as a "nice" character - He did a good job though as usual. I don't generally like Meryl Streep as well but I liked her performance in this film.

I loved the idea of this movie. It has alot more action in it, that I was not expecting but in just the right amounts so it wasn't an action film. Would have to be the best role I have seen Bradley Cooper play.

A good romantic comedy, good to watch with your partner

The best Dracula movie I have seen, they go more into the character of Dracula and feels more morbid/erotic than other films I have seen. Anthony Hopkins is great as usuall

Great story. Anthony Hopkins is great as usual and Nicole Kidman does a good job as the troubled woman.

I've always liked Clint Eastwood's movies and this one is no exception. It is in Japanese but that is no problem unless you are too lazy to read them. Interesting to watch a war movie that isn't from American perspective, but through the Japanese side which is so focused on "Honour". I think it is interesting that he also made the movie "Flags of our Fathers" which is about the same battle but from the American's side.

I loved this movie as I felt I could relate to the family especially the father - son relationship.

Great movie, different to most of the other movies based on the same war. Was funny, action packed and had some cool slow motion cuts and interesting angles in some of the shooting scenes.

Great thriller movie, was suspensful until the end. Cage was great in this, one of my favourite films of his I've seen. Obviously if you find this kind of stuff affensive, don't watch it...

More 3.5 stars. An interesting film, acting was very good and I thought Langella did a really good job as Nixon. Did seem to show Nixon in a different view than I have always seen him.

I thought this was a great movie. It was very weird, it isn't like a normal movie which made it very different. I think this is the best Christian Bale movie I have seen.

I wouldn't call this a comedy, more of a drama film. It was interesting seeing Ben Stiller in a more serious movie instead of a comedy, and it would be good to see him in more films like this. Enjoyable movie.

This was a very stange movie. I didn't understand alot of it and it just didn't seem to have a steady plot, it seemed to go everywhere... then it just sort of ended...

I felt this was a bit hard to follow. It had too many characters and the changing narrators was confusing. The plot seemed to change and wasn't constant because of so many characters. The movie was okay, but there are better war movies I think.

Good Aussie film, I don't normally like them but this was good. It was good to see Heath Ledger as an Australian in this.

This was the first one of the Life After People series. This one is not part of the TV series and has different stuff in it to the TV series. It seems as if they made this and then went into more details with particular things in the TV show eg Animals, Monuments. I wasn't sure if I was going to rent out the same thing twice - but it is different if anyone else was wondering the same thing.

This series looks more in-depth than the first one - It seems as if they made it a TV series once the original came out. This has better graphics as the first one had cheaper looking special effects.

If you like the TV show you will deffinitely like this. I love the TV show so I got this one out - it is a little different from the show but only by a little bit, not enough to make it less enjoyable. I'm looking forward to watching the next movie.

An intertaining movie, I thought it was a good cop/detective movie with a good story and good acting. Mel was good in this role.

I enjoyed this Marvel Knights addition very much, one of the best ones. The story was good, graphics were really good as well and it wasn't really like the recent movies as well which is good, so it is actually alot like the real comics.

This one is probably a little more "cartoon-y" than the other marvel knight ones, as opposed the more drawn look of the others. Worth a watch if you like the others in the series.

I liked how this story was a little more dark than other marvel knight stuff i've seen. The animation/drawings were cool and the colour were also fitting. Not quite as good as the X-men version as their is no lip moving in this one - but still cool

Solid Batman animation, good to watch if you're a Batman fan.

Definately for the Family Guy fan, seems like alot of cut scenes that perhaps they couldn't find a place for in other Family Guy episodes.

I also thought it was like a movie version of Fallout 3. This was a good take on post apocalyptic movies, Denzel did a very good job in this. A good film.

Many scenes in this were hard to watch as they were very sad. But it made this film very good and i'd recommend it.

I wasn't too sure about this one in the beginning, I don't normally like the modern black and white movies but it was actually A pretty interesting movie. I got it out because Neil Young did the soundtrack, which was cool. Worth watching.
