If you loved the Dune books you will love this dvd, again though best to read the books before watching as it fills you in on the story.

Excellent movie so close to the book, makes it come alive, wish they could have put more in but dont u always :) A must to see for dune readers, I would read the book before watching though so it all ties in

Not as good as Dune 1, seemed to go off track, but I liked how after years of not reading the book it bought it back vividly. They did a good job sticking to the story, just lacked a bit.

Bit of a strange one, and definitely not one to watch in the background while you're doing something else - you have to WATCH it - but it is worth taking the time to watch properly.

Film rambles a bit - I felt like I learned more from the closing credits than most of the movie. I know some people think movies aren't really about education, but this IS a biopic.. Worth seeing, but one to go a little further down the list for a day when there's nothing else to do.
