I had two main reasons for wanting to see this film. 1. I am a major Guy Pearce fan, and 2. Tigers are my favourite animals. I thought this film was both delightful and very in-sightful. The two tigers were gorgeous as tiger cubs and had much personality. It's probably not one of Guy Pearce's best roles, but I still enjoyed his performance all the same. To summarise this is a very thought provoking movie which much entertainment along the way.

I'd been hearing rave reviews about this movie, hence the reason I requested it. I found it a bit slow to start with, then we are introduced to the wonderful scenery of the WA outback. This helped to keep me interested. Then "POW", there is a twist that you just do not see coming and the whole outlook of the movie changes. Toni Collette's performance was remarkable, one of the best I've seen from her since Muriel's Wedding. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes Australian movies, especially those people who like to be surprised.

Even though I found this movie a bit confusing at the start, I was soon drawn in by Abby Cornish's amazing perfomrance as 16 year old Heidi. I even found myself relating to some of her experiences. The movie had a good plot. Maybe the ending could have been a bit more dramatic. The scenery was lovely. I also enjoyed Sam Worthington and Erik Thompson's performances. A very thought-provoking, confronting, beautifully scripted and marvellously shot movie all round.
