Compelling cop drama set in the ganglands. Well acted all round but Chiklis is a charasmatic stand out. The action reels like it's always ready to boil over, this series will grab from the 1st episode. Absolutley recommended!

I never watched this much back in the day but I'm glad I'm giving it a chance now. Dealing with the salinger clan, 5 kids who've lost their parents in a car crash this series is full of drama and angst. Check out the 90's fashion, music and hair - v/cool. Mathew Fox & Lacey Chabert went on to bigger things, scott wolfe & neve campbell fell off the radar since but here in season 1 they all look so fresh faced. Good 90's television.

An interesting crime movie with the twist being better than the lead performances - Josh Hartnet bland and Bruce Willis looks bored. Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley are cast well as villains but don't have too much work to do.
A reasonable way to kill 2 hours.

For all his horror stephen king really does small town america well. Four kids set off on an adventure to see a dead body, along the way they grow up a little. Great performances tied together by richard dreyfuss and a good oldies soundtrack make this movie.

John Huges and co in their finest hour. The movie that made a generation of outsiders feel included. Maybe overdoing the praise a little but who could forget hearing the school jock/nerd/loner pour their hearts out and feeling exactly the same. Good 80's soundtrack and my girl molly worth the rental alone.

Very disapointing movie set against crusade erea jerusalem. A good cast but very poor character development and a convoluted storyline see it come to very little. Like troy this is a modern b movie curously starring orlando bloom.

Good movie with something to say about growing up and school. Lohan is surprisingly appealing though the bad girls are as much fun to watch. Not as black as heathers but along the same lines.

Excellent movie with likeable leads playing the u.s administration we all wish existed. No stoney faces republicans in this story but pleasant fairy tale characters.

I like sci fi but this was just ordinary. Afflek needs to take a break as a leading man, get some roles worth playing.

Nice little oddball film about US comic writer Harvey Pekar, author or the breakthrough comic american splendour.
Part biopic, part drama, part doco Paul Giometi does a great job playing the unusual Pekar. Follow everyman pekar as he puts his everyday into the pages of the comic. Odd but watchable.

Nothing too special about this plot. Former hostage negotiator moves to sleepy backwater after career error. Encounters even bigger problem. Bruce Willis does his pro forma action guy thing, it's the most memorable thing about this show.

Solid supernatural thriller here with Michael Keaton playing the grieving husband hearing noises in the tv static. Very similar themes to 'mothman prophecies' and 'dragonfly' where Keaton chases a vague mystery to a final conclusion. Worth watching.

Supernatural thriller by a cast that would go on to bigger things. Dated a little by the avalanche of medical shows that came after still good to see Sutherland and co.

Really great tv is a little hard to come by. This will restore your faith. Bold and brave stories, great characters. Bleak in parts but it is set in a funeral parlour....

How can sci fi and british humour fizzle like this one did? Didn't hit the right balance for me, zooey deschenal was bland o rama and only Alan Rickmans depressed robot kept the laughs coming.

A show about teen love and lust. The first few seasons were great but the tension between the leads could not be maintained and it lost the plot. See Katey before Tom Cruise got his hands on her.

This supernatural thriller had a great cast but looks a little dated now. Like Duran Duran and the rubiks cube it's not as good as I remembered it.

Much better than the sappy 'Ladder 49' this is a great firefighter movie. Kurt Russell the fearless f/fighter and his brother living in his shadow. Deniro and sutherland play off against each other nicely.

One of my fav Spielberg films featuring Richard Dreyfuss going nuts over aliens. Lots of anticipation and a good payoff.

A good 80's flick with the film belonging to Sutherland. Jamie Gertz looking fantastic as well. Californian vampires - buffy anyone?

Self important with delusions of grandaur - like the athletes it portrays. Jamie Foxx showing the beginnings of his film career. Pacino doing his hang dog thing.

Series 6 & 7 saw buffy and co with the blues. Life was getting them down and it showed. Fans could see the writing on the wall as Joss Whedon's writing got a little bleaker. Still good viewing and the musical ep in series 6 was excellent.

Good casting/stories and a different take on the white house in these first 2 series. Makes you wish Bartlett would run against Bush.

A nice little dramedy on the cult of big business clashing with less fashionable ways of doing business. Forgot just how likable Dennis Quaid is on film but can't see the fuss about Johannson.

An enjoyable sport/underdogs movie that was redone almost to a t by Sam Jackson in the recent Coach Carter. Still worth seeing if underdogs or Gene Hackman are your thing.

The defining 50's movie. The adventures of Richard Drefuss and his pals on the eve of his leaving for college makes for great viewing. Ron Howard playing someone a little less sugary than Richie Cunningham and a small part to Harrison Ford make this a much remembered movie.

Elektra, a minor character from Marvel comics and the love interest from 'Daredevil' gains her own movie. Jennifer Garner looks like she trained up for the part and Terrance Stamp plays the world weary mentor well but something was missing. An action movie worth renting.

Cusack made his name in the 80's with likeable guys chasing unatainable girls. Some laughs here. See this and better off dead for your next 80's night.
