This should have been two movies. One a soppy romance and one an awesome action flick. I spent the first part of the movie waiting for the iceberg. It is definitely too long. It looks impressive but it just doesn't do it for me.
I'm not really a fan of the book but this version is very watchable. Ehle is fantastic as Lizzie and Firth is the man we all want after the swimming in the lake scene. Even if you aren't a fan of the classics this is well worth seeing.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I'm astounded to find out that Ewan McGregor can actually sing. I think that Nicole Kidman was miscast in her role though. Costumes were fantastic as were the sets. Visually quite exciting.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Beautiful movie. Not a huge amount of story but it is just lovely to watch. The colours and the lighting are the real stars in this movie.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I really liked this movie. Zach Braff has a lot of talent and is definitely one to watch in the future. You really feel an attachment to the characters.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I really liked this one. Reece Witherspoon was great and Sarah Michelle Gellar really stepped out of the Buffy shadow for her role. A good modernisation of the Dangerous Liaisons story.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Films these days just don't have the grandeur of the classics. The scene where Cleopatra enters Rome is just monumental. Full of wonderful costumes and sets. Just ignore the acting.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
This was my favourite film when I was fifteen. I even have the cardboard cutout of Brad Pitt. A real epic film, great story.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
This is one of my favourite romantic movies and this isn't a genre I'm particularly fond of. Minnie Driver is just wonderful and the supporting cast are all great.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A very pretty film. Very watchable, well acted.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
There are few words to describe how bad this film is. The surfing footage is great but is loosely tacked together with some of the worst acting of the year. It may be more appealing if you are a teenager.
I love Weird Al's music and it's even funnier with the clips. A real laugh.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
This movie had a lot of potential but just didn't quite reach it.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Good story and script but the casting just didn't work. Neither Law nor Damon were right for their roles. If better cast this movie had potential to be great but now just has to settle for good.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
A bit of a mindless gore-fest but if you just want to watch and not think, worth a look.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
I've always loved Tim Burton's films and this I feel is one of his best. Beautiful to watch with just the right amount of horror. Johhny Depp is wonderful. Very few men can faint with such conviction! The special features are definitely worth a watch too.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
I'm glad to see that some others think that this is a comedy too! Very dark look at the power of money. I loved the "interviewing for a flatmate" scene.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
This movie has one of the best opening titles I've ever seen and it really shows the attention to detail that this production has. Very creepy (and not for those with weak stomachs) but a fascinating study of human weakness.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I really loved the book and was a bit unsure about the movie before seeing it. Johnny Depp as always was fantastic in the lead role and they managed to maintain the feel of the book. If you like dark movies, definitely worth a look.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
If this movie hadn't been made with a sense of humour it would have been a really bad B grade movie but the tongue in cheek acting really picks this up and makes for very funny viewing.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Great script, great cast. Very interesting having the story told backwards in segments. Not one to watch if you are feeling tired or just don't want to have to think about it. Definitely makes more sense when you watch it for a second or third time.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Very interesting concept to make a film noir in perpetual daylight. Robin Williams was far more convincing as a villain than I thought he would be.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I really enjoyed this movie. Spectacular acting from the two young stars.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I'm a total traitor to my generation. I have just never liked this movie. It works too hard at trying to make you feel.
I loved this movie. Very interesting premise and a killer ending.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Bizarre is not a strong enough word but the excellent cast and strong visuals suck you into this movie. I'm still not exactly sure what happened though.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I was really impressed by this movie. Visually it is exciting and different and the story really makes you ask questions. I felt that the ending didn't quite gel but other than that it was fantastic. Special effects were amazing.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I spent most of this movie trying to make sense of what I had already seen. I normally just go with the flow but I just didn't get this one at all. Visually attractive but lacking in plot and purpose.
Really the only thing that spoils this movie is Keanu. Very poor casting there. Otherwise it is a brilliant movie with spectacular sets and a beautiful telling of the Dracula story.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Brilliant ending. Perfect for anyone who has ever been screwed over by a bank.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Well acted, interesting story. Not as much action as I thought it would be, much more of an intellectual film. Definitely worth a look.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Not bad in the boys' own shoot em up genre. The special features are worth a lot as well.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Very funny. I hadn't seen some of these clips for years. Weird Al is so very talented and while the songs are funny, they benefit a lot from the film clips. If you like the songs, this is well worth getting out.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Ben and Owen work so well together in this hysterical movie. I just loved the walk off. A definite must if you are in the mood for something light and very funny.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I cannot believe that this movie won Oscars. It is pretty bad when I don't bother watching through to the end. Nothing happens and it isn't even interesting, or amusing or intelligent. Dull as dishwater, just don't bother.
(Don't bother!) - review by Zoe
De Niro is very good in a comedy role. I was impressed. Lots of laughs in this fairly light and fluffy movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
For anyone who had a religious upbringing, this is a must see. Mandy Moore has mostly made mindless romances and this is a real departure from that. She may actually be able to act. It was good to see Macauley Culkin in a meatier role as well. Very, very funny.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
I just love this movie. I was the odd one out at school and I wonder what it would be like to go back for my reunion. I totally understand how they feel. Funny, great costumes, fantastic cast.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A very different romance. The actors are brilliant particularly Geoffery Rush. Fascinating story. Maybe not if you are easily offended, but if you are open minded definitely worth getting.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I guess it might not be so bad if you're a teenage girl or a child. It's pretty predictable and the acting isn't anything spectacular.
Interesting story. Beautiful looking movie. I love the way they just added a bit of colour into the black and white.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I've always wanted to go back to school knowing what I know now, just like Peggy Sue. Very funny movie that is memorable even after all this time.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
What is it about J.Lo? She seems to only make dogs of films. I'm normally a fan of George Clooney but even he can't save this movie. Maybe if it's on TV but otherwise don't bother.
I was really impressed with this movie. Christina Ricci really proves herself in an adult role. I was also impressed by Lisa Kudrow, she is by far the best actor from Friends. Definitely worth seeing.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Very good remake. Fantastic cast, tons of charisma on screen. Impressive all around.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
They really shouldn't have bothered making a sequel. It is really only carried by the fact that they managed to get the awesome cast to come back again. I wouldn't rush to see this one again.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
I was really disappointed by this movie. It got rave reviews and I found it painful. I struggled to actually finish this one. The characters were annoying, the storyline was dull. There was really nothing to recommend it at all.
(Don't bother!) - review by Zoe
Lovely movie about love. A great one to watch with your grandma as there's no swearing or sex. Some very amusing scenes with her parents and aunt.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A wonderful film about real people. Toni Collette is just brilliant as the flawed Muriel. Great soundtrack. A must see!
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Beautiful film. The colours are just exquisite. Lovely story of love and marriage in modern India.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Very funny movie. I haven't really thought of De Niro as a comedian but he was very good. Ben Stiller as always is very amusing.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
The jokes were getting a bit old by the time this one came out. The focus on the baby really dragged. Nowhere near as good as the first one. Worth seeing as a weekend fill in.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
I've never been a fan of Lindsay Lohan but I was really impressed by her in this movie. This was a very amusing look at adolescent behaviour and will be liked by anyone who has had a teenage girl or has been one.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Amusing little film. Brilliant performance by Billy Connelly.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Cutesy little schmaltz fest. Unless you love predictable romances, don't bother.
A beautiful little film with wonderful performances.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
You can see why this won an oscar. Beautiful and moving film but with a thread of humour that runs throughout. A definite must see.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Jim Carrey is hilarious. I particularly love the scene where he gets pulled over by the cop. Make sure you watch the outtakes at the end as well.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Very funny movie. I particularly love the admission video scene.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Fantastic sequel. Plenty of action, good script and well acted. Story did get a bit confusing in places but definitely worth getting out.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Very good French movie. Jean Reno as always is fantastic. For a bit of a laugh, watch it in English with English subtitles.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Did the Coen brothers just wake up one morning and decide to have a go at romantic comedy? I wasn't sure about this one initially as it's very different to the Coen's previous films but it is absolutely brilliant. The cast are perfect and Catherine Zeta Jones and George Clooney have plenty of chemistry. The script is well written with enough twists to keep things interesting and the Coens' as always have an interesting set of bit players filled with famous actors. One of the best romantic comedies in years.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Another brilliant John Cusack movie. Jack Black is fantastic as the annoying friend and all the ex girlfriends are great. We've all wanted to revisit the past and see if things were actually as we remembered. Amusing and touching at the same time. A definite must see for everyone.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
I thought that this movie would be really dumb but it was actually very funny. Watching this guy's whole life fall apart in the week before his wedding is very amusing. The scene with the undies is my absolute favourite.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I've always been a fan of John Cusack and this is one of my favourite films. Everyone wonders what it would be like to go back home for a reunion but it would definitely be harder if you were a hitman. Really well cast and directed.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Frighteningly I can still recall whole scenes from this movie nearly 20 years after it was released and probably 15 since I last saw it. One of my favourite movies as a child it really is a must see if you have children. I expect that it has lost some of its magic now that I've grown up.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Quirky kind of film that doesn't really go anywhere but is easy enough to watch anyway.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Full of memorable scenes. I always think of the queue scene whenever I hear 'Hot Stuff'. Very likeable group of blokes in the main roles.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Another classic from the D-Gen. It makes it very difficult to watch Today Tonight anymore. Absolutely spot on.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
This movie opens with a fantastic scene and really just gets better from there. The funeral is one of the saddest moments in a comedy in a long time. Great cast, great script, great soundtrack.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Everyone found Forrest adorable, I found him irritating. This movie is far too long. The only positive is the soundtrack which is fantastic.
I always wondered what seagulls were saying and now I know. I found this movie very likeable if not exactly deep. The concept of a fish with no short term memory is great for a comedy. The boys who wrote this are very very clever.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Gwynneth Paltrow is really what is wrong with this movie. The script wasn't bad and the rest of the casting was passable but she was just wrong entirely for the role. If you like her films, you probably won't mind but if you're not a fan, steer clear.
Reece Witherspoon proves that she can really act. Almost painful in parts this isn't your run of the mill comedy but is funny nonetheless.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A cute rom-com that is really carried by its two stars. Very watchable but not really memorable, it is a standout in its genre.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
The French really do comedy so well. A fantastic premise for a film, it is really pulled off by the actors and director. There is really nothing bad that I can say about this film. See it even if you don't usually go for foreign films, it would be a great introduction into French cinema.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
One of the loosely based on Jane Austen movies that were so popular in the nineties. Alicia Silverstone is very likeable as the totally clueless Cher. A real laugh at the ditzy culture of American teens.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A really quite depressing look at human nature when it comes to love and lust. It's a horrible movie but like a car crash you can't help but watch as these people tear each other apart. Very well cast and totally engrossing for a movie that fundamentally only has four characters. Definitely worth watching but maybe not if you are into romances.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I was never a big fan of the musical genre on film. I'd rather see it in real life. But this is really good. Well cast (who thought that Richard Gere could sing!) and well put together. Nice snappy pace.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
What ever happened to Ben Affleck. I really liked him in this movie but since this he's really gone downhill. Not your average romantic comedy and definitely worth a watch.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
The best comedy to ever come out of Australia. Full of classic lines that have become part of Australian lingo. One of those movies that you can watch again and again and see something new each time. A must see for all Australians and all visitors. My German friends loved it.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Very amusing. I felt this film improved with a second viewing. Some very memorable lines. Worth seeing even if you don't have kids.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Light and fluffy and a bit feel good American. Worth filling in an afternoon with.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Fairly much a repeat of the same story as the first one, with some scenes almost totally repeated. It does have its moments though. Bridget in the Thai prison with the bras is quite hysterical.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Brilliant adaption of a brilliant book. Casting Hugh and Colin was perfect and Renee Zellweger does a fantastic job as the completely imperfect Bridget. I'm not usually a fan of romantic comedy but this one gets a bit thumbs up from me.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
A fairly forgettable romance. The bollywood scenes are great and you can't help but bop along. A movie to watch on a wet afternoon or a plane.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Not the best of the four but worth seeing none the less. The boys were just getting into the swing of things towards the end of the series.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Another spectacular series from the boys. A definite must see. Has lost nothing in the nearly 20 years since it was made.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Far and away the best of the four. Miranda Richardson is fantastic as the Queen. Well scripted and spectacularly cast. A must see for all fans of British comedy.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Very easy to watch. Not deep and meaningful and fairly forgettable but a pleasant enough way to spend an evening.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Another one that everyone loved and I loathed. I struggled to actually sit through this one. I have a more enjoyable trips to the dentist. I would definitely give this one a miss.
(Don't bother!) - review by Zoe
I'm astounded that when given a simple role, Liz Hurley can actually pull it off. Brendan Fraser as always is likeable in his role. Good remake of the original movie without just repeating the whole thing exactly the same.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
One of those movies that you can't help but like. Not exactly memorable but great at the time. A definite must if you have kids.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
The first time I saw this I thought that it was really stupid. I guess that I just wasn't in the mood. If you are willing to just go with it and have fun, it's an easy way to spend a couple of hours.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
One of those films that pretty much everyone can relate to. We all went to school with a Stifler. Very spot on story about late adolescence. Well scripted and edited. Very very funny.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
I'm a huge fan of Kevin Spacey and am yet to see a movie of his that I don't like. The girls are both very good and it's great to see Annette Benning in a well written role again. Fantastic script and very well directed. Worth the awards that it won.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I guess I'm the odd one out when I say that I don't like this film. I actually found it depressing. I felt that they almost forced the quirkiness in places. I guess that it's worth seeing as everyone else I know seemed to like it.
Very very funny. Guy Pearce makes the best queen ever and Hugo Weaving does a fantastic job. Costumes are spectacular and the settings awesome. One of the greatest Aussie films ever.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Not as good as the original but still very funny.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
You can't help but laugh at this movie. If you can, there is fundamentally something wrong with your brain. If there is a ridiculous way of doing something, Jim Carrey will do it. The Einhorn is a man scene is one of my favourite scenes ever!
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
How this got a PG rating I do not know. Nice lighthearted teen comedy with a great soundtrack. All the actors are good in their roles.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
The actors seem more settled in their roles so this runs better than the original. Plot a bit more patchy but the action is improved.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Well cast and great special effects. Enough storyline to legitimately tie together the action. Definitely worth seeing even if you aren't a comic book fan.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Who came up with the inane idea for this movie and even worse who gave them the money to produce it!
This film has a feeling like it's a really long music filmclip. Lots really good but doesn't have much behind it. But if you are willing to let go and just watch, it's not a bad way of filling in a couple of hours.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
All those years of acting and we didn't realise that Arnie was quite the comedian. Memorable after all these years.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Lacks punch by having your sympathy spread between Hector and Archilles. Great battle scenes even if it is a bit historically inaccurate. And hey any movie with lots of buff blokes in short skirts wins points with me.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg prove that they are not just pretty faces. The frightening thing is that most of this is probably based on real events.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Arnie at his best. Robert Patrick is great as the evil terminator. The special effects are starting to look a bit dated but for their time are spectacular.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I feel that they dragged this one out for a bit long with not quite enough material. But you'll be singing the theme song for days.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A movie that is really only carried by the likeability of its stars. Maybe it would seem funnier if I remembered the TV show more.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Well cast, fantastic concept. Brilliant costumes and cinematography. You can see why it lead to a spin off TV series.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A fantastic example of why you shouldn't make a sequel just because the original was successful. You can see why Keanu was sensible enough not to be involved.
Buff Keanu wins again. Great scripting, fast paced. A total classic.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
I'm not normally up for zombie movies but this one is not to be missed. It is funny in that British slacker kind of way and the ending is just brilliant.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Milla has really taken to the role of action hero. Even better than the first.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
The best of the 'computer games made into movies' genre. Well paced, a bit gory in parts but hey it's a zombie flick.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
One of those movies that I will always love. Buff Keanu may not be able to act very well but he looks good in a wetsuit and really does much else matter.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Johnny Depp is spectacular in this movie. He definitely deserved all the awards that he got for it. Incredibly good for a movie based on a ride at Disneyland.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Really great film version of a must-read book. Well acted and the effects are fantastic. I was very impressed.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Well acted. A bit on the long side but quite watchable. One of Mel Gibson's best roles.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
George Clooney proves that he is more than just a pretty face. What can the Coen's not do.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A bit too thump-you-in-the-head obvious for me. The american audiences might be that dumb but I can usually work out the twist without it being spelt out again for me. Action scenes aren't bad and Tom Cruise does well with the material.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Very, very funny. Michael Caine hasn't been this good in years and Sandra Bullock cements her position as one of the best female comedians of her generation.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Whoever thought that making the dog a more prominent role was a good idea was wrong, wrong, wrong. No new jokes and it just didn't work for me.
Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith work together really well in this fun movie.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Better than the second but not as good as the first. I guess by this stage the wow factory had worn off a bit. Got a bit deep and meaningful at the end and it kind of lost me there.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I couldn't help but feel that this movie was just filling in time between the other two. It asked more questions than it answered and just didn't seem to serve much purpose. Still looks spectacular, just lacking in substance.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Wow is the first word that comes to mind after seeing this movie. It was one of those great leaps in movie that happen every so often. Buff Keanu at his absolute best. This movie epitomises cool in the nineties.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Tim Burton does it again. I must say the best role is Tom Jones as himself. I never knew the man was so funny.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Storyline not as good as the first but the actors do seem more comfortable in their roles this time.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Angelina Jolie was perfectly cast in this role. Not a lot of story but what do you expect from a movie based on a computer game. Good action scenes.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Interesting concept, the making of an historical film with a modern soundtrack, but somehow it doesn't quite work. I don't think that Heath Ledger was the man for the role.
Struggles a bit with only a short story worth of ideas and a feature length film worth of time. Interesting concept though.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Quite surreal, very French. Very well cast and acted. Battle scenes are fantastic.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
The ultimate car chase movie. The scenes through the sewers are incredible. Michael Caine is fantastic.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
I was so glad to find that this wasn't just a remake of the original. Good action scenes but you couldn't help but feel that you'd seen it all before.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
I'd have to say that this is my favourite of the three. Hard to go wrong with Spielberg and Ford.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
What can you say about one of the greatest action movies of the eighties. Harrison Ford was the man that you either wanted to be or wanted to marry. Good old fashioned fun.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Great movie for the kids. Still worth watching as an adult. Fantastic animation.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
So much better than Top Gun. Lots of laughs but you have to be in a silly mood or it'll just seem dumb.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
One of the best comic book movies to come out. I hadn't heard of the comic but was totally sucked into the movie. Good action, good special effects and a touch of humour. Definitely worth a watch.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
One of those classic films where the good guys are good and the bad guys are bad and you know that good will triumph in the end. The battle of Carthage scene is definitely the best in the movie. Russell Crowe is very believable in the role of Maximus. The battle scenes are extraordinarily well put together. Definitely a must see.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
John Travolta works his magic on this movie. Great script, great cast.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Tommy Lee Jones' best role ever. He and Harrison Ford work beautifully in this movie. Great pace, plenty of story.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I don't know whether I just missed the point on this one. It was violent without a point and just seemed to go nowhere.
Only a Frenchman could make a movie like this. Bizarre is not a strong enough word. Somehow it draws you in though.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Lots of car chases and not much else. Great if all you want is to be distracted for a couple of hours and don't want to have to think.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Arnie does what Arnie does best. Big action, minimal dialogue, lots of things blowing up.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Will Smith does really well in another action role. Action and intelligence mixed together.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
A bit ridiculous in places. Has enough action to keep you watching. You don't feel much attachment to the characters, so you don't mind as they get eaten.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Impressive special effects and the acting isn't bad. A bit too much tugging on heart strings for my liking and as always so very American focused.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
This movie is so bad it's painful. There are very few movies that I've struggled to watch in their entirety. The acting is pathetic, the story abyssmal, action stilted. Let's just hope that there isn't a sequel.
(Don't bother!) - review by Zoe
Beautiful action sequences. Fairly traditional Chinese story but it's not for the story that you watch this movie. In fact you could watch this movie without the subtitles and still think that it was wonderful.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Not as good as the French version. Guy Pearce just doesn't work for me in this role. Some of the other actors work really well in their roles but overall it just doesn't make the grade.
I've never been a fan of Julia Roberts or Mel Gibson and this movie does nothing to change my opinion. Far fetched and unbelievable it doesn't even have decent action to make it worth watching. Watch it if it's on TV (again).
Far better than the TV series. The girls don't seem quite comfortable in the roles. Great bit part actors hold the whole thing together.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
The girls seem to have settled into their roles this time. DVD extras are well worth a look, especially the short doco on the bike scenes. A lot more tongue in cheek than the first movie.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
No action, no story, no romance. Really there is very little to recommend this film. Maybe if you're on a plane and are very bored. Otherwise don't bother.
Great start to the whole Buffy phenomenon. Very different to a lot of films of the time. Is starting to look a bit dated.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
A bit on the long side, it would have benefited from being edited a bit more tightly. Interesting storyline and more action than your usual French historical film.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Matt Damon has really settled into the role of action hero and is fantastic as the grieving Bourne. They have taken the chase sequences up a notch since the first movie (it's hard to believe that's possible). It gives us another action movie with an intelligent and believable storyline.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
I originally thought that Matt Damon was too much of a pretty boy to be an action hero and it does take him a while to settle into the role, but by the end of the film he'd got there. Fantastic soundtrack and great chase sequences.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
The addition of Ryan Reynolds to the series was a great choice. More story than the second and better action than the first, this is by far the best of the three.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Far bloodier than the first, it may be too gruesome for some. I don't think the story is as good as the other two, but the action sequences still leave most movies for dead.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Really interesting start to a series. Dark with just enough humour to lift it up.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Excellent acting. So much more than just an action flick. Draws you in right from the beginning.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Where did the series go so wrong? With each film it just seems to get worse. If it was on TV and you had nothing else to do, it may be worth it but I'd consider having an early night instead.
(Don't bother!) - review by Zoe
Tim Burton brings the blackness of the comic to the big screen perfectly. So much better than the later films in the series.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Another watered down American remake of a fabulous French film. Still worth seeing but get the original if you can.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
What is it about "Americans saving the world" movies? Of the genre this is one of the worst.
One of the scariest movies ever. We all know the alien is about to burst out but we all jump anyway. The best by far of the series.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Good and kids will love it but definitely not another Shrek
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Light and amusing but fairly forgettable.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
What is frightening is that this is probably true! Brilliant acting from all of the main characters, good pace.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Zoe
Very beautiful film but I didn't feel interested in the characters.
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Beautiful cinematography and fight scenes
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Frightening. I'll never eat the chips from Macca's again.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
A bit slow moving. Far too many deep and meaningful looks.
Fun movie. Definitely worth seeing.
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
Bit of a boy's own film but great action scenes
(Worth watching) - review by Zoe
Beautiful film, perfectly paced
(Excellent) - review by Zoe
