Although the actress who played Aerial was better than the first actress, the movie was almost a complete take-off of the first version, even the script was the same. A bit boring. Why make it if there's no difference. Love the old 80's version, and this one lacked enough modern activity for me.

Good but very predictable

THIS IS SO NOT A YOUNG KIDS MOVIE!!!! Watched it with my four and six year olds - my daughter went to bed half way thourgh terrified, and my son although watchin it all had nightmares for two nights afterwards!!

This really is a let down for Baz Lurrman. We could barely get through the first hour without turning it off, the "okker" interpretation was so appalling and attempts to be funny not. And Hugh kept saying "Krikey"...it was just crap. The little aboriginal boy is really good though, and the ending quite good, you just have to get through the first part of the movie, and the terrible cinimatography in the cattle muster.
This movie could have been so good, just interpreted really badly I think.
My apologies for bad spelling.
I liked this movie, predictable ending but enjoyable storyline anyway. Edward Norton is always enjoyable to watch too! Ha

The Book is much better but as a movie on its own, it was ok.
Found Eric Bana a very poor Henry VIII but the girls played their roles quite well.

Very bloody and graphic movie that some times is not bad in other movies, but since the rest of this movie was really bad it just made a bad movie worse!
We didn't like the way the movie seemed to have been reproduced by a computer after it was filmed. It was weird.
We had to watch Russell Crowe in Gladiator afterwards to make us forget the crap-ness of this movie!!!
Lovely Classic stories. My son loves these and relates them to the Stories I read to him too! Pity we're farmers and don't really like rabbits, but I make an exception for ones in Blue coats!!!

I loved this movie. I think I am really becoming a Ewan McGregor fan. He's so likeable. The movie was lovely, and the scenery of the Lake District is beautiful countryside. Someone who knows a lot more about B. Potter than I do said the story is not very accurate, but since I don't know the true story, I thought this one very enjoyable, though obviously sad in places. Interesting fact that The B. Potter books are the best selling children's stores of al time too! Go Peter Rabbit!!!

I read the book with my Book Club, and we watched the movie at our meeting. We were all quite dissapointed by the movie, as the book was very good. Colin Firth was great as Vermeer (he can do no wrong!), and the other characters were good, but the script didn't capure the book's story very well. There were lots of side stories in the book that were missed, and the intricacies of the relationships were too overt in the movie (typical hollywood). However, if you had not read the book, the movie would have been just fine, since you didn't know what you were missing, and possibly a bit boring. Not a guys film!!
We liked it. Predictable and nice but a safe bet if you want an easy light happy movie with a cute (if blind) animal in it!!! (That's the ferret not Ben Stiller!). Jen and Ben worked well together. I like Jen when she plays airy-fairy type people, she suits that character. And Ben always plays obsessive people well. Plus with the added cameos by Hank Azaria and the girl from that show with the gay best friend, it was a good movie.

This movie is as good as the first, if not better. I liked the friendships built and the comic relief this movie brought.
I will definitely be getting the two movies for my family.

This is a very cute and easy movie to watch. My 3 yr old son absolutely loved it and watched it over and again (so much so that Bigpond Movies were sending me emails asking for it back!!). I thought it was very suitable for him, and the characters were good.
Great one for the kids (and we parents would get a laugh out of it too) It was fun to pick the voices too (eg: Bruce Willis, Nick Nolte and the Dad from the American Pie movies!!)

Although I am a fan of Keira Knightly, I couldn't like this movie, as I compared it too much to my much-loved BBC version of this story. I am a great fan of the BBC mini-series (so much so I have bought it on DVD!) and Keira and the gang just didn't capture the characters from the book as well as the BBC actors. No-one can play Mr Darcy like Colin Firth, I felt this new guy just smiled far too much in the movie for the stern Mr Darcy!!! I also didn't like the americanisation of the story - making the characters more likeable by having them explain their feelings verbally, the touching (such as of hands) throughout the movie, etc - that is part of the Jane Austin book, the frustration that the characters didn't reveal how they truely felt, leading to all the mistaken judgements and misunderstandings! However, you must watch it just to make you realise how good the BBC version really is! Besides, as much as I am a fan of the other one, it wasn't such a bad movie alone, if you don't compare it!!!
No where near as good as the Gene Wilder version, but an ok movie for the kids if they haven't seen the first one. It was a bit too computer animated for me, and Johnny Depp should stick to being a pirate - he does that much better!
I liked this movie, I am very dissapointed that I haven't read the book first, as I usually think watching the movie first spoils the book. However, from just the movie, I thought it a great story, and can certainly understand why there was so much controversy about it (religiously speaking) when the book was written and I found it a fascinating theory. Tom Hanks played the part very well, as did the female lead (sorry, forgotten her name!). Well worth a watch!

This was a great movie, made even better to think it was based on a true story. A bit scary in places for young children (we watched it with our two&half yr old) but he liked the dogs. Amazing to think of their skill at pulling the sled and saving people on fractured ice.

THIS WAS CRAP! We are Steven Seagal fans of his older movies (Under Seige is a favourite) so we thought why not order another one of his movies for some good "martial arts - good guy gets bad guy" type movie. But Shadow Man - ohh its bad!! Seagal is grossly fat (and old!) but doesn't seem to even try to hide it, and there's hardly any martial arts, he just shoots everyone in sight!! (Good guys as well as bad guys) The storyline's very weak, and takes great leaps between scenes, the camera angles made us feel sick - it's like the cameraman has parkinsons or something the shots shake so much! No, as you can read, WE DID NOT LIKE THIS MOVIE. Thumbs Down Steve, you should have quit in the 90's if this is the best you can do!

This was an ok movie, my son liked the characters.
The only reason I am taking the time to write this review is to show my dissapointment of the cartoonist's gross mistake in the anatomy of the male species of cattle - bulls/steers DO NOT have udders!!!!! Not a very good education for our children! (Especially since we are cattle farmers!)

I liked where this disc is taking the Angel series, with Darla returning and the relationship between Angel and Cordelia growing (though how it can compare with the Buffy relationship I have no idea!) Addin Fred into the mix is good too, as it gives another female role in the gang.

I was not sure whether to rate this one as 2 or 3 but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt! It was an ok film, easy watching. Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn are better in their other movies, but as I said it's watchable. I liked it (hence the 3 rating) but wouldn't watch it again. Once was enough!!

We all loved this movie - our son, 2.5yrs, loved it and had to watch at least every day while we had it - might be one we buy! I especially liked the idea that the whole world was vehicles, even the flies! I also liked the use of the same voices as other Pixar movies, it's a bit like "pick the character in the other movies" (eg: Mac/Pig/Flea/Snowman - hee hee) Owen Wilson was good as Lightning, a good match up with character to actor.

It's Barney, what more do you need to know? A bit american, but it goes through the different farm animals all the same. A bit like Sesame Street with its songs etc.
This is a good family movie - I love the false idea that a zebra can be a race horse !! My 3yr old son thought the movie was great, with the various animals, and Dustin Hoffman and Woopie Goldberg add to the great charaterisation for two of the main animals. A good all rounder happy-ending movie.

A good girly flick. You can curl up with a hot chocolate and your favourite tv blanket and enjoy this one. Cute guy in it helps too! I liked it.

I liked this movie, I have read the book, and for a movie based on the book, didn't think they did too badly following the storyline.
The charatcers and love story was captured and the basic storyline followed. Well done.

This was another good "changing bodies" movie - Lindsay and Lee did very well with a predicatable storyline. Enjoyable scenes, light-hearted, and I liked that I didn't need to think too much, just enjoyed a good film to watch.

BORING!!! Thankfully I had the kitchen to clean and dinner to make otherwise this movie would not even have got passed the first 15 minutes! Dull and boring storyline, even with the great actors. Ho Hum.

Bit boring a story line, usually I like the dancing movies, but this one was so the same as all the other "black ghetto, rich man comes in to help" scenario, it was too predictable. Still, Banderas' sexy dancing is worth watching! (wink wink) and I always like to see the happy endings (especially for the poor little rich girl)
This was a good third movie for the MIs. Not as good as the second but definitely better than the first. Kept you on the edge of your seat for bits of it. Cruise not as sexy in this one as in the second. I will buy this one to compliment the first two DVDs we already own.

I thought this was a very dull movie. My 2 year old son didn't even last the first few minutes before he left the TV room to go and find something more entertaining to do!

Great movie - good for the guys and girls.
Loved the heartwarming attempts Sandler makes to get Barrymore, and the sensitivity he shows to her condition - better than some of his other movies where he is a lot more shallow.
I'll buy this movie to watch over and again!

This movie was not up to the standards of Adam Sandler's other funnier movies. It was more brutal and cynical in it's storyline, and didn't have the lightheartedness that I like in his other movies. Although it did have the cameo by Schneider at the end, it didn't have the other normal cameos in it. I also didn't like the brutality to Chris Rock's character. There are much better football movies out there if you're into that sort of thing, but as an Adam Sandler comedy, thumbs down to this one.
