A must see! Absolutely delightful; well made, thoughtful, heartwarming and funny. Now I have to go buy it...

I usually love action movies, and comedy, and rom com. This was terrible. Tom Hardy and Chris Pine are great, but it was incredibly shallow, stupid and annoying. And I want to like all the movies I see.

Funny, smart, amazing acting and action. One of my top 10 favourite movies; I went out and bought it, and then hunted down Firefly (the tv show). This is more sci-fi than western, whereas firefly was more western, but they are both totally awesome.

This was a lot, lot better the second time I watched it. Yes, it is a bit cheesy, but most comic book movies are meant to be that way. Loved the strong female characters, great acting all round, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki totally steals the show. Fun!

A lot better than most of these reviews show; yes, it is "different". Once I adjusted to that; that it was "found footage" and was low-key, realistic and a well acted thought provoking teen drama and not the same old mindless big budget blockbuster, I really enjoyed it.

This was fantastic. I chose this as I'd seen him mentioned in places but had no idea who he was....know I now. Totally engrossing and full of detail and emotion, this doco gave me ALL OF THE FEELINGS. Knowing the end result going in didn't change how devastating and bereft I felt; the interviews, racing and home videos really showed you who he was, and who the world was missing at the end.

this movie is not mainstream, nor does it attempt to be. Directed by the guy who did Slither, rated R, pretty accurate trailer; these are all clues to what this movie is about. Dark, funny, thoughtful and in-your-face, it's a fairly realistic portrayal of someone trying to change their life and do something "good" - even though that may result in things that are even worse. Full of (mostly dark) laugh out loud moments and shocking violence, I really enjoyed it.

Kinda like the real life breakfast club, as the summary hints - although all the more involving, moving and sad for knowing these are real people, and remind you of people you know.

Not as hilarious as the trailer suggets, although still pretty good.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore? After seeing this, Say Anything and The Breakfast Club i think teen movies from the 80s are the best insightful, funny, quirky, realistic....I need more!

While the acting is okay, this movie could have been a lot better. It's written and directed by Billy Bob Thornton, and, well, you can tell. I thought they put in a whole lot of unnecessary shots of random stuff, and crappy angle shots where they weren't suited. Also felt like they were adding in some of these shots to draw it out, which in no way made it better. Not even that good as a cowboy movie, as only the first half is anywhere near western life-ish. Knew it wasn't great, but thought it would be better than that. Don't waste your time.

the tag-line is 'to know lloyd dobler is to love him..." and it's very true. sweet, simple and yet somehow inspiring story of a guy falling for a girl that on paper is way out of his league. i say on paper because once you get to know lloyd, you realise just how awesome he really is. story, music, all acting was brilliant, but my god, if you weren't a john cusack fan before you will be now!

Interesting idea from the project greeenlight winner. not sure about the style - uses the good old narration with a bit of let's stop and speak directly to the audience - but acting was good. not as funny as it tried to be, although probably very realistic and honest potrayal of a guy trying to come out to his very traditional irish catholic family. for fellow nathan fillion fans - is not the main charaacter, one of the straight brothers, has bad hair, but you do get to see his butt.

what can i say... it's a classic. is a bit long of course, but not so you notice or mind. just as good as the others and very watchable even if you're like me and don't like/bother to read the books.

interesting, if unlikely, premise. male acting was really well done, quite touching (lol, but seriously, too) at times, girls seemed (to me) overacted and really annoying....luckily more about the guys.

not as bad as i thought - quite funny in places, mainly thanks to steve carrell..and the rock. like a modern, spoofier version of the tv show but with better reasoning as how max smart actually manages to be an agent.

This story about a young mum deciding to keep her terminal illness a secret while carrying out her simple bucket list is quietly devastating and yet uplifting at the same time. The acting, writing, directing is all really well done and although it is of course, very sad it is excellent - i highly reccoment
