I loved this black little tragi/comedy

I liked this film when I saw it in the cinema, but I enjoyed it even more watching it again. It's a simple story about a brave young woman trying to save her family in a desperate situation, but it's told remarkably well and with a real authenticity that is quite rare in cinema these days. Highly recommended.

This film seems to get better every time I see it - I think it's actually my favourite Tarantino film.

Stylish performance piece - Stockard Channing is great!

I'm sorry, but Peter Jackson must have been on drugs when he directed this. The movie has no soul at all. I should have cared about this poor girl but I couldn't get past the awful plot set up which makes little sense. The characters are boring, nothing seems realistic at all - Peter Jackson even makes quite an obvious and self indulgent 'cameo' for what seemed a eternity in a scene at a cemera shop.. I was angry that I paid money to see this in a cinema, if I'd just watched it on TV for free I would have just turned it off after ten minutes.

Brutal. Be prepared to be depressed if you watch this one
I became increasingly frustrated with the lead character's actions, she is so cruel and devoid of any redeeming features - It made it hard for me to like this film in the end. Not a big fan of Haneke anyway so I guess I got what I expected.
The real star of this film is Dug the dog!

This film had quite an effect on me - Surpisingly it quite accurately describes the symptoms of anxiety, and anyone who has suffered from this will probably get more out of it.. It is also beautifully shot - I really liked this film but am probably in the minority as it contains some confronting scenes.

Awesome performances all round, especially from Streep in one of her best roles ever! I was glued to the screen from start to finish.
