It's a shocker. Not even the amazing Gerard or the sublime Monica could save this stinker, which was basically an excuse for a soft porn drool over a semi-clad Monica Bellucci.

Shock and AWESOME. Amazing film that kept you at the edge of your seat and gave a hyper-realistic view of what it would be like in this foreign land at boiling point. Don't miss this one.

Awesome roller coaster ride of epic proportions. If you loved the first 2 then buckle up for more of hunky Matt proving he's invincible... almost.

It is an incredibly ambitious and an amazing visual feast about the fall of the Mayan empire, however I found it gratuitiously violent a little "Mad Max" in its approach, so that knocked some of the shine off it for me.

It started out well, but there were a few too many flaws in the plot and a rather pathetic ending that left you wondering what Harrison Ford was thinking playing YET another dithering, stressed out guy in fear of his family's lives.
A beautiful film. Its amazing how someone as physically unappealing as Depardieu can be so moving and attractive on screen. Like most French films it merely passes comment on the nuances of mis-matched lovers, but in a delightfully entertaining way.

This series is more raw but, I think, funnier than Seinfeld. Can't get enough of it.

Undoubtedly one of the worst scripts every written and a complete and utter waste of acting talent. Wash the cat instead of watching it.
(Don't bother!) - review by Dale
It is obviously a brilliant book and script but profoundly disturbing, so only hire it if you have the stomach for the macarbe, death and mayhem.
Quirky, out-there, wry art film about a highly dysfunctional family in the 70's. Amazing acting from Annette Benning. Crazy story. A little laboured though, I thought.

Despite the amazing cast and an innovative directing attempt to set the movie in the black and white cinema era, the plot is thin and anti-climactic.
Extremely violent and peverse. Thought to be a classic masterpiece by some, too disturbing for me to thoroughly enjoy.
A delightful and thought-provoking insight into life with toddlers and the impact that has on relationships. Charming!

A very serious piece of work from Robert Deniro. Matt Damon is brilliant as the stoney faced CIA guy in trenchcoat. You need your wits about you and it may help to take notes as the plot flies thick and fast and complex. Gripping stuff.

This film stuck in mind for days after I watched it. Very interesting insight into the politics of class and power in south america through the eyes of children. Brilliantly done.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
I'd never heard of this film so it shocked me to discover that it is probably one of the best films i've seen all year. Brilliantly acted and empathetic to its subject.

It kept me guessing and kept me on the edge of my seat. Jodie reprises her "Panic Room" persona, but despite being dejavu, it was a good Saturday night nail-biter.

Sublime French Canadian take on the emotional toll of terminal cancer. Wry and witty.

Amazing film. It has me squirming in my seat from the tension and brutality. Very hard to pick what is going to happen at the end. A real cliffhanger brilliantly acted. If only Russell could be so charasmatic off screen as he is on.

I SO wanted to love this movie as the combination of Brad and Angelina is intoxicating. It was bearable, but peurile.
Obviously the competition for the AFI awards was pretty thin this year if Little Fish scooped the pool. Really disappointing. Not even the big stars can save it from cliche and grating Ockerdom.
I don't buy into the fuss about this movie. The art direction and cast are great and it is truly a beautiful glimpse at olde England, but it lacks any tension in the plot and it simply really dawdles along. Tinkerbell would not be pleased.

Unfortunately I was out having dinner with the girls and my husband watched this without me, but as a connoisseur of English gangster flicks, he thought this was a cracker.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Beautiful, epic film of love and loss at the Somme as only the French can do it. Audrey Tatou is amazing and despite the dark topic, it has a wry charm to it.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Quirky and out there film with an amazing cast. Loses it a bit and you have to appreciate whacky humour, but it certainly makes good entertainment if you enjoy art house films.

A very fresh and frank look at the last days of Hitler. Amazing acting talent and mood from this german film.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Huge disappointment. I love Tom and Spielberg, but they couldn't make this old classic look anything more than a special effects remake of the totally predictable kind.
Despite having seen several dozen medieval films about Arthur and his lot, this version is suprisingly thanks to a very strong English cast of BBC favourites.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Despite the very cheesy setting of cowboys and arabs, this is a smart film that will suck you in. Very enjoyable.

If you are a Sopranos fan, the 5th series is not to be missed. Amazing that they can keep up the quality of the script after all these years.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Brilliant story acted very well by Liam and Laura Linney. Thought provoking and entertaining at the same time.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
An amazingly-executed juxtaposition between the very ordinary and the very extraordinary.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Obtuse and uneventful in a completely charming and captivating way - as only the French can do.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Slick direction. Slick cast. Slick soundtrack. Great entertainment for a Saturday night in.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Big budget, strong cast, weak script and predicable schmaltz.
It was like a film student who had access to an amazing cast made it. The experiment with a new paradigm in film... fell flat. Go out and have a Latte instead.
(Don't bother!) - review by Dale
Predictable but cleverly written and the amazing cast deliver it beautifully. Popcorn and Pepsi night in.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
It's a real romantic chick-flick, so if that makes your toes curl, don't bother, but if you're on the soft side, you're gonna love this one. Makes you want to be 17 and in love all over again.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
A poor sequel to the original. If you don't mind it being predictable with a weak script, its ok for a trash night in.
Charming but heavy tale of two sisters entanglement between family life and the morals of war.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Quirky and droll tale about the difference perspectives on love, depending on your sex and age, as only the French can do.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
I love Jennifer Garner, so that made it easier to watch, but its probably best enjoyed by teenage girls rather than trying to get your husband to sit through it in its entirity.
Pretty good. Beautiful art direction and Reese does herself proud. Bit of a chick flick.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
I'm sure it is considered an artistic masterpiece, but the violence was so sensational and gruesome it ruined my night.
(Don't bother!) - review by Dale
Surprisingly a bit of a dud from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Limited by its setting and predictability.
Loved it. Fast paced thriller with the charisma of Tom and the acting talent of James Foxx that kept us on the edge of our seat throughout.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
It got slated by the critics at the box office, but makes a very watchable weeknight video. Anthony Hopkins is his usual genius.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Charming but amateur.
(Don't bother!) - review by Dale
Amazing recreation of a culturally deplete time in the '50s, but a rather slow journey through it.
Its amazing that such a brilliant cast signed up for such a dud movie. All that star power can't pull this one out of the mud.
(Don't bother!) - review by Dale
Disappointing. Even Johnnie Depp's charms couldn't save a very predictable script.
Harrowing tale of a kidnapped child. Kate and Tommy Lee both keep it together and keep you interested, but its never going to be a blockbuster.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Interesting from a historical perspective. A little predictable and cheesy from a cinematic one.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Loved it! Move over James Bond, there is a cooler, smarter spy on the block.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Fantastic film. Poignant, a feast for the eyes, brilliantly acted and a great story to boot. Loved it.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Brilliant concept and script, charmingly delivered. Kate Winslett is a joy. Even if you're not a Jim Carrey fan, you'll enjoy it.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Highly original concept with a strong moral message interestingly delivered. Superior cast and acting. Thought-provoking, not fun.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
If you're a doco fan, don't miss this intriguing tale of paedophilia vs mass hysteria. A uniquely personal insight into a family's dilemna which leaves you debating the truth to the end.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
God knows why _ but my two year old thought this was hilarious>
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Very interesting insight into the little known topic of Armenian genocide. Imaginatively executed.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
A beautiful portrayal of a subtle love story from the great novel. Amazing art direction and historical representation with strong acting.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
2 hours of gory crucifiction. Over-done, over-acted, over-glorified and it's not like you don't know the end of the story!
Intellectual farce on Shakespeare with great acting.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
I know it is formulaic and cheesy, but if you're a chick or love Brad, you'll get into this movie like a packet of double-dipped Tim Tams.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Female teen angst in the latin-slums of LA. Fresh approach, but don't bother if you're over 29.
If you're a 20 something backpacker you might find this interest. Great angst-ridden dialog and acting, but doesn't really go anywhere.
Brilliant for the kiddies.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Not a scratch on the book and doesn't do the characters justice.
Sean Penn is amazing in this very confronting tear-jerker. A must if you have a child.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Not bad if you like Horror flicks. A bit hokey but had me gripping the seat.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Cate Blanchett is outstanding, as usual, and the story is gritty and emotional.. A great week-night view.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Charlize Theron certainly deserved her Oscar for this disturbing and raw film.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
If you're a Tarrantino fan, you will love the kitch gore of this little tale.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
A bit of a chick flick but a good one.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
The only positive thing about this incredibily depressing slice of Pommy life is that it will make you feel very good about your own life. Timothy Spall is amazing, but it doesn't really go anywhere.
Very sensitively made film that is ultimately very depressing - as all good poetry is.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Quite disappointing and I don't believe it lives up to the hype. Based on a very over-simplified theory that puts the whole show in question. Basic stuff.
Schmatzly romantic comedy. OK if you're an under 30, single, female, otherwise, I don't think it will do it for you.
Loved it. Not often you see a sensitive German film. Lacks the sensuality of how the French would do a food movie, but really engaging characters and well worth a watch.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
A somewhat predictable psycho-thriller, with a good twist at the end. Ethan Hawke does a great job. Definitely worth a look.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Heavy. If you have kids, don't watch this alone! Great acting. Somewhat predictable, but well executed.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Great idea. Great actors. Ben Kingsley is amazing.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
If you love doco's you'll love this. Amazing. "Only in America".
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Bit of a girlie, weepie. Amazingly cinematography and strong actors struggle with a predictable script. Worth a watch, though.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Quirky German film with a very unique plotline and the subtlety and sensitivity that the Europeans do so well. Definitely worth a watch!
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Compelling philosophical debate around politics versus the arts. Worth a look, but more like a telemovie than a big screen epic.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Very creative and entertaining film but quite 'outthere' and very 'American' in it's sentimentality.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
A charming chick-flick. Kate Hudson steals the show and the dreamy Parisian setting makes up for a rather banal plot.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Classic UK TV.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Worth the wait. Amazing performances by Tim Robbins and Sean Penn. Gripping.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Run of the mill comedy. Jack puts in a good performance, but it was a bit juvenile for my liking.
It is what it is. The concept is the gag. The movie finds it difficult to draw it out for 1 1/2 hours.
Helen Mirren puts in a great performance. Schmaltzy but fun chick flick.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
I'm not a fan of Australian movies, but this breaks the mold and is hot! It's definitely helped by Timothy Spall, the English actor, but an amazing performance by David Wenham. Very Lock Stock. Great!
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Can't say I'm a big fan of Australian movies. Don't think this deserved the hype it received. Slow. Slow. Slow.
Not bad. Typical Kevin Coster, too long, too sentimental. But, some good performances and it does get you in.
Amazing for its era. Truly a classic.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
It's a bit hokey, but its unmissable just for the amazing special effects feats and for seeing how the trilogy comes to its end.

Spanish soft porn. Quirky.
Interesting and quirky. If you love Frances McDormand you'll enjoy it.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Very touching film about the old Maori ways. Loved it.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
If you love Nicholas Cage you'll love this. Really gripper with a twist you won't see coming.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Really unique piece of film that stayed with me for some time after.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
The mockumentary style is a favourite of mine, but this was a little laboured. Some glimmers of brilliance, but largely uninspiring.
Clever coming-of-age film done in a way that only the French can. Bizarre, emotional and unconventional stringing together an otherwise common plot.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Not bad. Quite an interesting insight into the plight of African with quite a credible performance by the 'yippie yi ay' boy, Bruce Willis. Had me gripped to the seat.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Very original and beautiful visually. Great history lesson. Not for everyone. "Arty" and very long.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Slick. Keeps you glued to the seat. A little predictable and under-acted, but fun just the same.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
If you loved the previous 5 discs, this documentary with the real individuals is a real heart breaker and worth the watch.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Brilliant ending to a brilliant series. Truly a fantastic history lesson and white knuckle entertainment in one.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Suprisingly good. Really innovative approach to the prickly topic of addiction. Amazing acting from Ellen Burstyn. Very black. But very memorable.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Rather complex plot, but very fast paced action thriller that keeps you interested and guessing. And John's pretty cool.
(Worth watching) - review by Dale
Very slick. Gets you in and has you hanging there till the end.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
An OK that movie that was made to fit a great idea.

Brilliantly acted, very unique style. Just a bit too long and a little slow.

Fabulous acting from hot new 'it' actor, Colin Farrell. Has you hooked from the start and guessing all the way, but its unlikely you'll spot the twist until it is upon you. Classic spy thriller.
(Excellent) - review by Dale
Yet another amazing couple of episodes in this phenomenal series.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
Don't be fooled by the great cast, this is appallingly bad, bad, bad. It attempts to be a black comedy spoof on road / vampire movies, but is undoubtedly the greatest waste of celluloid I've seen for a long time. Brush your cat, or watch the paint peel instead of watching this.
(Don't bother!) - review by Dale
Absolutely fantastic. Make sure you see disc 1 first, but it is blue chip quality viewing.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Dale
OK if you're into soppy, girly, chick flicks and love Sandra Bullock. Otherwise, give it a miss.
Pretty lame. I love Antonio, but even he couldn't save it from a bad script and even worse direction.
What every charm there was in the first of this series, has been totally lost by the 2nd. Reece is great, but it is mostly predictable pap.
