The main character is washed up, self centred and still lives in her high school world, wanting to try and get back with her (now married, with a small child) highschool sweetheart. She has a major meltdown in one scene and I think realises she has issues and wants to resolve them. Not as good as I expected, but I think the characters were well acted and deserves more than 1 star.

Nothing special with this story of a young girl getting pregnant. I struggled after about 20 minutes in. Wouldn't bother with it.

I also found the volume levels on this a bit too low. About half way through right now and I'm not very interested. Didn't really like Javier in the role.

I only watched this because of RP. I'm convinced he can't act, and seeing as I was so bored watching this, I still think it. Quite a few well know actors, you'd expect it to be better, but just a story about lies, cheating and manipulation.

Funny, silly movie. Same kind of humour seen in other movies with the same actors/director.

Interesting idea. Quite enjoyed the movie. But imagine if it was real? There'd be stealing, war, murder and fighting everywhere. Not sure about the whole everyone looking young thing...

This was so lame. Same people 10 years older, same jokes, more nudity and stupidity. In this case, the original was the best. Wish I had that 2 hours of my life back. Glad I didn't waste money on going to see this at the movies.

After having watched the first disc, I am enjoying it. Nice family drama, good storylines. I'm not sure I'd rush out and watch all the seasons though as I'm really only interested in Emily Vancamp because I love Revenge.

I recently saw the movie remake. Was absolutely disgusted. I was young when the series was originally on tv, so didn't really understand much. Quite enjoyed it this time around. Nice eye candy with the young male cast members :)

Emily Vancamp playing ANOTHER Emily character! I really like Revenge and wanted to see what she was like in other roles. She plays a very sweet character, totally different from Revenge. Apart from her, I really didn't enjoy the movie.

I didn't realise that this was a sequel until after I'd started watching it. Maybe that was why I didn't really get in to it - I didn't know the background... Either that or it just wasn't as good as the hype.

Not really familiar with the characters or storylines... Only watched it for Noomi Rapace. Loved her in "Dragon Tattoo:.

In the early scenes, Keira acts the "crazy" part very well. Don't know any of the history behind the characters, so found it a bit boring.

Watched this as a kid. Quite a lot of action and definitely a lot more swearing than I remember... Terrible early 90's clothing! Hopefully they don't ruin the remake.

Action packed and fast paced. Nice to see some places in Europe that I have visited in a movie.

I've got a question for Ben... Why is he such an idiot? A man in his late 20's wonders why he can't follow through... Keeps getting new jobs, new apartments, new girlfriends... He finally comes to his senses and wants to make things a bit more permanent. Good sound track, much better than the acting.

Apart from the name, I didn't know a thing about Mabo before watching this movie. I quite enjoyed it. good choice of actors. Kind of wish it went for a bit longer and went into more detail and maybe included a bit about what happened after the decision was made and how things are today.

I was really confused at the beginning. I thought the whole movie would "pause" on the scenes and have no dialog. I fast forwarded through this bit. The first part of the movie was incredibly long and drawn out. The very lavish wedding reception seemed to be so set to a tight schedule and to go on for days and days. The second part was almost as bad. Not much seems to happen in this movie and it takes is sweet time in doing so. I enjoyed seeing "Eric Northman" from True Blood in a different role. The depression/sadness theme is also done quite well. I don't mind seeing some indie/arty movies, but this was on just a little too weird and long and not much happening (I think this is why a lot of people just stick to mainstream movies) and I could not wait for the end to come.

A little bit confused by this one. Slow paced. Watched it twice and still not sure What happened. The changing between the past and present made it hard for me. Had to admit I was curious about Elizabeth Olsen, after having the famous "Olsen twins" as sisters, I wante to know what she was like. If she wasnt in this I wouldnt have bothered. Pretty good performance. Wonder what she'll be In next.

Saw this at the movies. Absolutely hillarious! Best laugh I've had in ages.

Enjoyed the tv series. Didn't enjoy the movie as much. This was a bit cruder and not as innocent as the series. More swearing, nudity. Typical boys on holiday party type movie.

The bf was surprised he enjoyed this movie. Quite a nice story, if not a little cheesy, about a determined girl who wants to follow her dream after a shark attack. I like the extras where you get to see the real Bethany.

Total waste of time. Extremely bad acting. Not as grossed out as I expected, but still a very disturbing theme.

As someone who is a major fan of the book series, I was disappointed with this movie. Perhaps it's because I've read all the books over the last few years, I've had the time to make a mental picture of all the characters. I don't think the casting was the best. Heigl would not have been my choice for Stephanie. She got the accent down pat, but I just can't see her as Stephanie. Wonder if there will be more movies??

Bad acting and bad storyline. Don't bother with this one.

As a child of the 80's, I don't know much of Marilyn's history. This movie portrays her as someone who is lost, a bit "deer in the headlights" and maybe someone who has little confidence in their ability, but very flirty and sexual at the same time.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
Reminds me of Poltergeist, which I think is a much more memorable/cult film.

I've read all the books and seen the original Swedish movies. Wasn't expecting much from an American remake, but they did pretty well with this one. Some things are obviously a little different, but I think they kept pretty true to the books. Maybe they'll remake the whole trilogy??

Silly Adam Sandler movie. Not even sure why I had this on my queue.

My boyfriend bought this dvd and thought it was interesting and told me to watch it. Definitely an interesting concept and does make you wonder a bit. The ending had a me a bit confused though. Nice indie, slow feel to it.

Not sure if Kristen Stewart was the right choice for this role. She definitely was trying to break out of the Twilight mindframe doing this. The story, is sad, although a bit unrealistic.

Not as good as I was expecting. Kind of slow. I enjoyed actors who played the main characters.

I'm not sure if I've seen the original movie, so I wasn't sure of the background behind this one. I like Carey Mulligan, so that was what encouraged me to watch this. I guess the storyline of money, greed and corporate backstabbing is quite relevant today, but overall, I didn't really enjoy the movie and wouldn't watch it again.

I didn't know the story behind this movie before watching it - maybe I should have? I found it a little boring (even though I've seen some of Mia's other movies and quite enjoyed them). Perhaps it was the gloomy landscape?
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I found this movie a bit slow and boring. The main character looked like his tattoos were drawn in with texta pen. This is one of those movies where you wonder what a good actor, such as Natalie Portman, was thinking when she said yes to this movie.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Given the fact the director of this movie also directed the first Twilight, you can see some similarities. The young girl, falling for the guy she is not meant to, the young good looking men, the wolf... also the dad from Twilight is the dad in this movie too... Nothing really special...
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
From the description, I expected to see a heavily pregnant ex porn star teaching sex classes to housewives for pretty much the whole movie. I think the classes only featured once (?) in the movie and the character was referred to as newly pregnant. There are a few characters that are focused on in the movie, and I felt that not much was spent on the main character. I watched this whilst doing some housework. Really couldn't get into it. There were a few times when I laughed at what was being said. Almost expected more nudity...
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I really like Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Portman. Even James Franco... But... How on earth did they agree to be part of such nonsense? A few crude sexual jokes/connotations. Probably a movie for guys, but even they would probably think its bad.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Never seen of heard of Tintin before watching this movie. Not even sure why I had this in my queue, so I'm probably not appreciating it as much as I would if I grew up with the stories... The animation is great, but I think this is probably more suitable for kids/early teens.

Really not a fan of Tom Cruise or big action "the world is doomed" type movies. Only watched this because I really enjoyed Michael Nyqvist (who plays the bad guy) in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo movies.

A bit slow, depressing/miserable scenery. If Jennifer wasn't in it, I wouldn't have bothered watching.

Not a huge fan of baseball although I enjoyed the film, I probably didn't get as much out of this as others could. Underdog story, competing against the bug boys with a lot less resources, and working on a different strategy to get a good team.

Didn't really enjoy this even though I quite like Emma Stone. Took until the ending to work out how all the stories/characters were related to each other. Much preferred Love, Actually.

Watched this with the boyfriend. We both got a few giggles out of it. Not sure about the "fast pace" that some reviewers talk about, neither of us are teenagers...

Didn't really get this movie. A narcoleptic male prostitute? Seriously? I thought it would be better seeing River Phoenix was in it.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Didn't really enjoy this movie. Quite slow moving, almost boring. I knew the basics about the storyline before watching the movie, but felt that I didn't really learn much more. More time was spent building up to the ending, the characters backgrounds, etc and I'd have preferred more violence, sounds funny to say that, but most of the violence, except for a few scenes is implied, and you just see the end results. Would have liked to see how the bodies were discovered, how they were arrested, instead of just some writing on the screen at the end.

I find Russell Brand extremely annoying. A grown man is acting like an over the top spoiled rich kid. As others have said, I quite enjoyed Helen Mirrens character. Probably the reason why I added this to my queue in the first place.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Not as good as I was expecting, given the fact that I like Zooey Deschanel. Slow moving feel-good family drama.

I remember reading somewhere recently that this was a really good movie. Can't remember where I read it, but it was obviously good enough for me to want to put it on my queue ASAP. Within the first 10 minutes, I was thinking WHY?? Just can;t get into it. The characters seem so rude and just want to make a sale. Not something I'd watch again. Interesting to see how young all the actors look 20 years ago.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Saw this at the movies. Was a bit confused. Was it a dream, reality? Great action scenes, special effects, pretty girls. Probably more for the guys. Good to see two Aussies in this - that was the reason I wanted to watch it in the first place, and again.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Not sure what possessed me to put this on my queue in the first place. Found it extremely slow and boring. I think I nodded off a few times.

Normally I like Carey Mulligan's movies. This one was a bit boring and some of the scenes were quite violent.

I was curious to see what Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce Willis & Demi Moore) was like. This has a silly storyline and bad acting. Maybe teenage boys would like this movie??
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I think I enjoy the books far more than the movies. Don't enjoy the fact that the movie was split in to two parts and they can make more money off us this way.

I only watched this because I'm a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory and "Penny" was in it. If she wasn't, I probably wouldn't have bothered as I think this movie is more for kids.

I still have some kind of loyalty to Mischa after I enjoyed watching her in The O.C and a few movies she made when she was younger. There's a reason this movie took so long to get released and then went straight to DVD. American actors playing Russians, drugs, parties, Lesbian theme - which is interesting because that has featured in a few of Mischa's movies. I'd only watch this if you were a huge fan of one of the actors, and even then, maybe only if you were really bored.

Kind of a silly, lighthearted movie, but still enjoyable. I got a few laughs out of it. I think it worked because of the female lead. If a guy did this movie, I think it'd be kind of sexist?? The ending was predictable. I think this movie would be great to watch with a few girlfriends, some snacks and some drinks :)

As others have mentioned, there are Jack Black and School Of Rock vibes. Something light hearted to pass the afternoon away.

Bit disappointed. Not as good as I was expecting. Genetically engineered assassin robo kid. Lots of chasing the kid and the dad, I kinda wondered what was the point.

Very slow and definitely seemed longer than one night. Not really convinced of the couples relationship, didn't feel like it was authentic. Would have like to see what happened afterwards instead of the movie nearly suddenly ending.

This is by no means a comedy. Quite slow, almost boring. Imaginary friends? Seriously! I do like Emma Stone, and I just can't help seeing Jeff Daniels in Dumb & Dumber.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Didn't know the background of the story. Outcome a bit predictable. A bit slow moving and don't think it really conveyed the struggles she went through - bit hard to squeeze 20 years in to 21 hours. Not sure many people could do what she did and spend 20 years believing in someone and trying to prove their innocence.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
Not as good as I was expecting. Some horrible boss cliches a bit over the top.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
Better than I expected, but still something aimed at the Twilight fans, bit of action, bit of romance. An added bonus was the Michael Nyqvist, from the original Swedish 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.

Not as good as I expected. A few laughs, some crude scenes/jokes. Definitely a guy's movie.

Never played the video games and this has been on my queue for a while, so I can't remember why I added it in the first place. Action and suspense filled. Something about Michelle Rodriguez really annoys me - her eyes? Her expressions? Can't put my finger on it. Not sure if I'll watch the sequels, but this is not the worst movie I've seen...

Didn't really enjoy this as I saw the Smurfs on tv growing up and prefer the old style animation. For those who are new to Smurf's, this would be quite good. Just can't beat childhood memories :-)

Not as good as I was expecting. Was a little confused, so repetitive, like Groundhog Day. Not sure about the ending - the train didn't blow up, but was he still dead?

I didn't really like the first one, but I watched the second one only because my friend knows I love Labrador dogs and when he bought the dvd, it came with a Labrador tshirt., and I wanted to see where the dog fit in in the movie.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I pretty much enjoy anything Denzel does. This movie was a bit violent in some scenes, but I guess it fit in with the post-apocalyptic scene. I was kind of wondering for most of the movie what was so important about that book, like it was never really explained to us. Interesting twist at the end, and to see that someone carries on after Eli, in a personal mission.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
Didn't enjoy this as much as Super Size me. Interesting to see how much money companies are willing to give so they can have product placement in movies.
(Maybe) - review by Anita
Good action and quite violent/gruesome in parts. Enjoyed the movie. Sad to think all this war, family destroying and killing actually happens. The ending was sad, but it's nice to see that some good/justice came out of bad.

I am not in to car racing and I was only 13 when the accident happened, so I don't know much about Senna, apart from hearing the name a few times. This documentary portrays a kind young man, full of promise, who died tragically before he reached his full potential. Very sad.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
I quite enjoyed the acting from the kids. Found that I was waiting for most of the movie to work out what was actually happening. Seemed like the last 20 minutes was where it all happened. The derailment scene was totally over the top.

Didn't know the background behind this movie, only saw a preview at the cinemas and thought it looked good. Disappointed in the ending. Definitely enjoyed the "man candy" lol

Thought this was going to be more of a movie, since it is called 'Freakonomics:The Movie'. Just as I was getting into one topic, it changed to another. Got bored after 2-3 topics and then went back to the main menu to chose individual topics. I quite enjoyed Morgan Spurlock's Super Size me, and I borrowed this DVD because of it, but was disappointed. I think I will stick to movie length doco's on only one topic next time...

I enjoyed this. Nice Aussie scenery, nice storyline, acting. A friendship, first love, coming of age film. The ending was sad.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
This has quite a few good actors in it. I watched it mostly because I like Emma Stone in Easy A and The Help. Wasn't overly excited by the movie. Few gory parts here and there. Found the whole Bill Murray thing amusing.
(Maybe) - review by Anita
This movies tries to be arty, erotic and almost European (I almost expected to see the subtitles). Interesting choice of role for someone who has been in Lemony Snicket and Sucker Punch. I didn't like this from about 10 minutes in, but forced myself to watch the rest.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I love watching 'Love Actually' and thought that since this was a multi-storyline, multi-character movie, it would be similar, but it wasn't. Really didn't enjoy it. Waste of time.

Not as good as I expected. A few laughs here and there. Nasty, manipulative, horrible main character.

Funny, bordering on offensive - depending on your level of humour. I laughed at some bits.

Didn't really get in to this movie. Some relevance after 9/11.

Quite enjoyed this film. Liked the performances of all the actors, especially the Aussie, Teresa Palmer, although you mostly don't don't see her character till the end. They don't really explain much about where the aliens come from, wish they'd spent the first 10-20 minutes explaining more.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
So wrong, but so funny. You need a good sense of humour to watch this - other wise you find everything offensive.

Since eating some fried green tomatoes whilst in the southern states of America, I decided to watch this movie. Never seen it before, but have been aware of the title. The tomatoes make a few appearances. A bit long, but a nice movie about friendship and love and storytelling. Some of Cathy Bates' scenes towards the end when she becomes 'liberated' are quite funny. Interesting to see "Nancy" from 'Weeds' younger, more polite and talking with a Southern accent.

I've been watching Housos on SBS and was told that this is made by the same people. Quite funny in some parts, I think it manages to include and offend most racial/religious groups. I went to school with the girl who plays Elle.

This was recommended to me by a friend... Not really a fan of the cowboy/western movies. The little girl was very determined, that was probably the only thing I liked about the movie.

Quite a few funny sayings in this movie. Great facial expressions and mannerisms from Jim.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
A bit of a strange topic. I think they could have explained a bit more WHY they do what they do. A bit slow moving, a big sad, got that "Indie" feel to it, even though Keira and Carey are in it. Not something I'd watch again.

I don't recall seeing this when I was young - I do remember "They're heeeeeeere", but I think everyone knows that haha. I wasn't overly scared by this, I think I'm used to more modern technology and special effects in movies, but back in it's day, it would have been top stuff. Maybe Hollywood will do a re-make?

If it wasn't for Kristen Stewart, I wouldn't have bothered with this one. I found it slow and boring.

I got confused with how the time line goes back and forth. If everything was in time order, then I porbably would have made more sense out of the movie.

Good cast and acting although not as moving as I was expecting. Interesting to see how "black" and "white" things were back then.

I've heard this movie is a "cult movie", how "real" the movie is. I struggled to watch it. Just seemed like a bunch of lazy kids, smoking pot and making a video. I like the soundtrack though, had a few Crowded House songs - I'm a big fan.

This was recommended to me by someone at work, as a movie that I would p*ss myself laughing. I found it humorous, but not as much as I was expecting. I didn't realise Eddie played multiple characters until I had a look at the imdb website.

I only watched this because it was Heath Ledgers last film. I found this a bit confusing and not really my kind of movie. I think the fact that it is confusing, having several actors to play Heath's character probably worked to their advantage.

My friend and I both found this hard to watch, almost found it boring. Not really sure why this is a so called 'classic'.

Found this incredibly difficult to watch. Didn't see anything biutiful about it. Mentally switched off after about 15 minutes. Normally foreign films/movies (The Milennium Trilogy, Inspector Rex) don't bother me. Don't know what it was about this one.

I quite enjoy watching Anna Paquin in True Blood and (years ago) Katie Holmes in Dawsons Creek - thats what attracted me to this movie. Within the first 10 minutes or so, I was struggling to keep watching. I fell asleep about half way through. Ended up watching it again. Definitely didn't like how the ending left you hanging there. Although there are quite a few good/well know actors, this didn't help the movie.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I remember being so scared watching this as a kid. I haven't watched it since then. Obviously it's not as scary now, but there are still a few moments where you think 'eeeew' or get creeped out. I'm not normally a fan of Hollywood remakes, but I think this one could do with a remake - better technology, creepier looking spiders...
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
I admit to hiring this only because Paris Hilton is in it. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have bothered. Within minutes I mentally switched off. Explains why I did the dishes and am typing this review while the movie is still playing in another room. It's quite dark, a little gruesome. I probably should have hired Rocky Horror instead. Might play a bit of Angry Birds while half paying attention to the rest of the movie.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
I found this movie quite boring. Couldn't wait for it to finish. Don't even know why I added this to my queue in the first place.

Not as good as I expected it to be. First two episodes were so-so. Third and fourth were a bit more interesting.

I think I may have added this to my queue because part of it was set in Broome, where I really want to go on a holiday. I'm not really a fan of musicals, so I found this was a bit hard to watch. There are some tongue in cheek comments aimed at white people in some of the songs - which I found amusing. Some well known Aussies amongst the actors. Interesting how some of the Indigenous actors who normally speak with an "Aussie accent" put on an indigenous accent for the movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
Excellent movie. Wish I had read the book before seeing it. Deals with a lot of racism. Quite sad in parts.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Anita
Not really convinced by the chemistry between the two characters. Kinda felt fake? Some pieces here and there were amusing, there were a few scenes guys owuld find amusing. Overall, not the worst movie you could watch, but certainly not the best either. Something light and not too serious to pass the time.

It was interesting to see what happens behind the scenes in a magazine. Quite a lot of things have changed since the 70's in terms of fashion, women in the workforce and "risque" magazine articles. I think Asher Keddie did a good job with impersonating Ita, but I can't help thinking of her as Nina from Offpsring. In the extras it shows Ita with dark brown hair, why didn't Asher have that?
(Maybe) - review by Anita
I didn't realise until after about 10 minutes of watching, that the whole movie was going to be filmed inside the coffin. No outside views of his family or what happened to him before he got in the coffin. I think that was what made it an almost boring movie? The people he spoke to on the phone just didn't seem to care. The "terrorist" just sounded so fake. Didn't really feel the emotion in this movie. Maybe it's better to have watched it in the cinema? Bigger screen = bigger emotion?
(Maybe) - review by Anita
Remember hearing about it when it came out, being so risque that this might be a good one to watch. Bit disappointed with this one. Didn't think the acting was all the great or convincing.
(Don't bother!) - review by Anita
Although I normally like Denzel, I'm not too fussed over this movie - too corrupt for my liking. I mean cops drinking and doing drugs whilst on duty?! Ethan was just a waste of space.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
I had no idea what this movie was about, except that it was Australian, and there was so much hype about it, I decided to add it to my queue. I found it slow, almost to the point of boring me, for most of the movie. Towards the ending is where I found it to be the most interesting. I feel sorry for the poor kid, being thrown in to a family like that, but in the end, Pope gets what he deserves. Not sure if Jackie Weaver did this fantastic job that deserved her going to America to look for more roles. Her character was deceitful, conniving, stupid? How can she how see that her kids are actually guilty of these things?
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
With a background in the rail industry, I obviously wanted to see this. Of course, I could point out some things that could not happen in real life... BUT... I really enjoyed watching this movie. Kept me in suspense. Denzel was good.

I have to admit I wasn't really in the mood for watching this movie when it arrived in the mail. I only half watched the first half, while doing other things around the house. I sat down and watched the second half. What I saw of this movie made me really angry. I realise it is not my culture or religion in that movie and I think that's what makes it so hard to understand that things like this can still happen today. I'm not giving it 2 stars because it is a bad movie, I just don't like what happens in it. I can't give 5 stars to something that is, in my opinion, totally wrong.
(Maybe) - review by Anita
I knew of the story behind this movie before watching it. I think they did a good job with capturing how it mentally affected him whilst trapped. Definitely some parts where I had to close my eyes - I don't really like seeing blood or things being cut/stabbed. Amazing to watch the scenes after the movie ends where you see him hiking in the snow and swimming. At least he still does what he loves.

Very boring and predictable. Couldn't wait for it to be over.

I struggled with this movie. I found the setting gloomy and I was really tempted to switch off this movie less than half way through. I persevered though. One particular scene toward the ending was quite tense - that was probably my favourite part of the movie, not in terms of the shocking thing that occurred, but because it actually got an emotion out of me. I admit that I chose the movie to watch Anna Paquin (I Love True Blood). If it was not for her, then I would not have bothered, although her character was a little annoying in her role at some points.

Very slow, almost to the point of boring me to tears. I knew what the movie was about before watching it, but just expected it to be better - not as slow, more enticing.

I know this movie won many awards but I found it a little boring. Nothing really exciting happens. Maybe it was boring because I didn't know much about the history of the royal family? I eventually worked out how the characters are related to the current day royal family. I've never seen Helena Bonham Carter in such a serious role, I've always seen her portray weird, wacky characters. Hard to imagine her as the Queen. Maybe I need to watch it a second or third time to appreciate the movie more?

Nothing original in the plot - I've seen similar movies. Scary/creepy enough to entertain you without being over the top. I don't like Hillary's toothy grin. The man candy (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was pleasing to the eye :)

I really feel like deleting my facebook account after watching this movie. What a horrible character! I wouldn't say you had to know a lot about computers to be able to watch this movie as some others have mentioned. Not something I'd watch again.

Not a bad movie considering I don't like rugby. A good performance from Morgan Freeman (as always). A feel good/uplifting movie.

Just by looking at the title, you think this is going to be something really focused on sex. It's actually a sweet little movie about family life. Really not what I was expecting, but was quite nice to watch. It's pretty well acted, and you can just imagine something like this happening to a normal everyday family. Not something I'd watch over and over, but it's good to support the Aussie movies.

This was way too long a movie for me. I watched it twice, each time breaking it up a few times. Still found it hard to concentrate.

Being a massive fan of True Blood, I thought it would be interesting to see "Bill" and "Sookie" (also husband and wife, in real life) act together in different roles. Their characters last for about 5 minutes of the movie - don't bother watching this if you want to see it just for them (although "Bill" speaks in his native English accent). In fact, I would say not to bother watching this movie at all. I fell asleep watching it the first time and ended up watching it on fast forward the second time. Bad acting. I wondered what was the point of the storyline.

Up until this movie, I was a big fan of Mischa Barton. After watching it, I know why it was released straight to DVD. Admittedly, she plays a minor character. Not even Ryan Kwanten (from True Blood) could help me get through this movie. After 3 attempts at watching it, I think I managed to stay awake enough to watch most of it.

I thought this was a boring movie until about 15 minutes from the ending where the character starts going crazy in his house. That was scary! Reading through some of the other reviews, I agree that the characters of the children were well acted. Not the best from Natalie or Jake.

I wasn't really scared by this one. Personally, I think the elevator scene from Speed is scarier. There's always something about M. Night Shyamalan's movies, like The Happening, that I never really get. At least it's nice to see an Aussie actor (Bojana Novakovic) in this movie.

I thought I'd support an Aussie movie, but I found it a bit too long and boring. I resisted the temptation to fast forward. I just didn't feel the love between the married couple. The scenery in India is interesting, the movie definitely captured that. Not something I'd watch again.

I enjoyed this movie. The casting of the main characters was a job well done. Emma Stone reminds me a little of Lindsay Lohan before she went downhill. I loved the references to the 80's movies, especially my favourite "The Breakfast Club". It's probably not something I'd watch again, but it definitely was a nice way to help pass the afternoon.

I read the book about a year ago. I struggled through some sections, particularly when she was in India, so I just skipped pages. I watched the directors cut of this, and at 2 hrs 19 minutes, it was just way to long. I know I fell asleep at least once during the movie. Not something I'd watch again, although I did enjoy the scenery of the places she visited.

I prefer the original Swedish version of this movie. I think there is something about European movies, maybe just because it is in a different language, that make them seem better. The remake is fairly true to the original.

This is the only X Men movie I've seen. I watched it because of Anna Paquin (I love her in True Blood), who's character was minor. Not really my kind of movie genre. But it was ok, if a little long.

I was told to watch this because a friend of a friend is nicknamed Squeak, after one of the characters in the movie. I definitely see the resemblance between the two. Apart from that, there was nothing interesting about this movie. I fell asleep twice while watching it. Toilet humor, stupid jokes... basically, this is a boys movie. I used to watch South Park religiously when I was younger, but got sick of it. Good to see nothing has changed.

I'm planning a holiday to Vegas, so I thought this movie might show me a bit of what Vegas is like... The casino's are featured, but only as a backdrop to the main characters alcoholism. Quite disturbing to see how much he actually does drink and how it affects his relationship. That's probably the main thing I'll take away after watching this - how horrible alcoholism is and how it affects your loved ones. Not something I'd watch again.

After seeing Megan Fox in Transformers and Jennifer's Body, I wasn't very impresses with her acting, so I thought I'd see another of her movies. She has a very small part in this movie, only a few scenes, playing a prostitute. If you want to see this movie just for her, then I wouldn't bother with it. The main character, Jonah Hex, has the ability to talk to dead people and likes to shoot everything up. Not my kind of movie.

I still love this movie even though it is nearly 20 years old. Action packed!

I think you should read the book first and then watch the movie. The movie is a good adaptation of the book. This is a story of 5 beautiful girls, who get the attention of the neighbourhood boys, and then, commit suicide.

I'm not quite sure if 6 little puppies would actually be able to pull a sled for such a long distance, but apart from that, it was an enjoyable movie. I'm definitely not a kid, but the movie is aimed at the younger ones. Personally, I'm a sucker for cute fluffy (and talking) golden retrievers :)

Interesting to see quite a few Aussie actors with American accents. Definitely a movie for young girls who like to squeal a lot.

I'm disappointed that some people flat out refuse to watch movies because they are "foreign" and have subtitles. Just looking at the actors in this movie, you would realise that the names don't sound "English", the characters names aren't "English" and if you place the mouse over "more info" it does say that it is a Swedish movie with English subtitles. Sorry if that all sounds harsh, but I think people who ignore these kinds of movies really are missing out... Anyway... This movie is definitely a different kind of vampire movie. Quite slow moving, no fancy special effects or anything. Nothing like Twilight and it's poor acting (although I do love the Twilight books). This focuses more on the friendship between Oskar and Eli and Oskars relationship with the kids at school. I have heard that Hollywood has made a version of this movie, so that should satisfy some people. Would be interesting to see if they keep the movie true to the original.

Unbelievable story line, bad acting. One of the characters belongings get stolen from her hotel room, and even though she has her handbag full of money in the safe, do you really think anyone would run around New York only in a hoodie and underpants? Especially a leggy blond model type?

I watched the first Narnia movie on TV recently and absolutely loved it. This movie I struggled with a lot. I think it may have been a bit too long, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as the first. At the ending they say the older two kids won't return to Narnia, which sets up for the third movie - I wondered why the older two weren't in the promos - now I know :)

I watched this to see what else Robert Pattinson had to offer. I can't help but think "Edward". I think that may have slightly ruined the movie for me. I would have said this is a so-so movie and given 2 stars, but as soon as I saw the teacher write the date on the blackboard, my interest in the movie dramatically increased. Definitely didn't see that kind of ending coming. I gave it an extra star because of it.

I got a bit bored with the first part of the movie, but found it really interesting when they had the kid and then went into the concentration camp. I had no problems with the subtitles, they worked fine, and with some knowledge of Italian, I thought they matched what was being said. The kid was definitely my favourite part of the movie. It was sad, yet beautiful how the father pretended everything was fine and it was a game, and his sacrifice for his son.

I didn't really like this movie. Sabrina, the poor chauffeurs daughter loves one of the rich sons of the man her father works for. She is ignored by the one she loves until after she returns from a trip to Paris. Then the man and his brother compete for her affections.

The special effects were better in this than the original, but that's about all. For me, I think the original is better. The Freddy is just not right - wrong face, wrong voice. Judging by the very last scene, we will no doubt be bombarded by sequels.

I'm interested in seeing what other films River Phoenix has done other than Stand By Me. If it wasn't for him in this movie, I wouldn't have bothered to watch it. Although it stars Sandra Bullock, it's just a B or even C grade movie about people trying to make it in Nashville.

I was a bit let down by this. I know it's a classic movie, but I was just expected to enjoy it a bit more. The bit that I enjoyed the most is at the wedding - reminds me of the scene from Waynes World, which is probably where Waynes World "borrowed" it from!

I was really confused with this movie. Whats a dream, whats real? The whole 3 level dream within a dream within a dream... I had no idea what was going on. This is a really long movie, about 2.5 hours. I got a bit uncomfortable in the cinema. Would be better to watch at home where you can press pause, get up, wander about a bit and then sit down to watch a bit more.

I didn't realise this was a remake until I watched the 'extras'... I think this is just another "end of the world" movie. If you like the 'aliens are invading the world' thing, then this movie is for you. I think the only good thing about this movie is the little kid, Jaden Smith. What a cutie :)

I'm planning a US holiday, which includes Vegas, so my friend told me to watch this movie. He said he loved it... I know why. This is a typical guys movie. Drunken shenanigans on a Vegas bucks night and they try to work out what happened the next morning. I didn't really enjoy this movie at all.

I was watching this movie for Penelope Cruz, but she only plays a very minor role. To me, this is a Spanish version of boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy loses girl, boy goes to jail, boy wants revenge. Interesting camera angles in some of the scenes. Not a bad movie at all.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
I quite like Abbie and this was what made me watch the movie. I'm not a fan of the period movies, but quite like this one. It's the olden day version of unresolved sexual tension between two characters. Everything is so formal, polite. This moves at a slow pace. Kinda makes you wish things were like that these days. The movie is sad at the ending. Now I'm curious about his poetry - might even borrow a book on it from the library.
(Excellent) - review by Anita
Very arty and indie. I can see that Robert wants different roles to Twilight, but if it wasn't for him in this movie, I would not have even bothered. Even with him in this movie, I desperately wanted to turn it off after 5 minutes. I just think the acting is poor - a B or even C grade arty indie movie. Because this had been in my queue for such a long time, I ended up watching a copy elsewhere and had forgotten that this movie was about Dali. Last year, I saw the Dali exhibition in Melbourne - this was much better than this movie and I'm not fan of art. Definitely a "Dendy" movie, not mainstream.

I'm not really a fan of the sci-fi movies and ones that rely on a lot of CGI. I'd heard a lot about this movie and wanted to see what the fuss was about. For the first 20 minutes or so, I was wondering what the point of the movie was. Then the love story started happening and that was nice and probably the only thing that kept me watching the movie. I think if you can get past your dislike for scf-fi and CGI (which I have to admit was well done) and just focus on the love story and people who stand up for their beliefs and for others, its not bad. I wouldn't say the acting of the humans in this movie was spectacular or worthy of any awards, but it was interesting to see Sigourney Weaver in another Alien-esuqe movie.

I quite like food, and I thought that since the movie is called 'Delicatessen' food would feature quite a bit in it, but it didn't. This is a French language movie with English subtitles. If it was in English I'd have switched off after 10 minutes.

I was expecting an 'edge of your seat' thriller after seeing the previews on TV. I was confused for most of the movie, which at just over 2 hours, is too long. I was disappointed that it wasn't scary or more thrilling, seeing as it has some good actors in it.

This is a really sad movie about a young girl who is physically and mentally abused from a very young age by both parents. There are a few scenes in the movie which I find a little shocking/scary. The sad thing is, I don't think they are acting - I'm sure this stuff actually does happen in real life, sometimes.

Within 10 minutes, I could see why this went straight to DVD. I admit to getting this movie only to see if Megan Fox can act - she can't. This is probably a movie more for boys - you see skimpy clothing and a bit of girl on girl action. I'm not a huge fan of MJ, but everyone knows the songs. I think this is an interesting insight to the "wacky" person we normally only see in gossip magazines. I agree with another person, the extras provided more information than the actual movie, which, to be honest, was just a rehearsal.

I absolutely LOVED reading these books, but the movies just didn't do it for me. They mostly follow the book, which is good in that sense, but when you see the actual characters (and not what you imagined from the book), I get disappointed. The acting is not the best. There is something about Edwards facial expressions that are just wrong, I can't really put my finger on it. Jacob looks very good! :) I will watch all the movies, can't wait for the next two, as they were quite long books and a lot of important things happen in those two books, it will be interesting to see how they portray it on film.

I remember this being on TV when I was a kid, but I was too young to watch it. Now, 20 years later, after a friend recently mentioned the show, I decided to watch it. So far, this popular high school girl has been murdered (She's dead... wrapped in plastic!) and the police are trying to solve the case. You can tell this is an old show, but it seems interesting so far, and I can't wait for the rest of the discs to arrive.

A cute film starring Ellen Page, Drew Barrymore and Juliet Lewis. Ellen Pages character tries roller derby to escape the beauty pageants that her mother keeps entering her in. Very much focused on the relationships between women.

Interesting to see a young Reese in a role very different to what we'd see her in today. Lots of swearing! A young girls mother and stepfather are sent to jail and the girl decided to go find her paternal grandmother. Along the way, her car beaks down and she gets picked up by a serial killer. She ends up shooting him and leaving him for dead. She then gets arrested and sent to juvie. The man and his wife try to get justice against Vanessa, even though he is a serial killer.

A cute and quirky little French film (with subtitiles) where a young boy gets a mobile phone from the weird little store run by an Asian man. Things start happening to all of his friends after he gets this phone.

Not a bad movie, not a great one either. I was only interested in watching this to see what Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) was like.

I still think T2 is the best. This one has great special effects and references to the earlier films (such as a CGI "Arnie", the voice recording of Sarah Connor, and "I'll be back"). In 2018, when this movie it set, how can Kyle be a teenager? When he first meets Sarah Connor in T1, which was set in the 1980's (?) he is a grown man. I wouldn't watch this movie for great acting (although Sam Worthington and Christian Bale were good for eye candy :)), I watched it because it is part of a series and out of loyalty because I liked T2 so much. Probably more for those who enjoy lots of special effects in their movies...

I love this movie! Great performances by Lindsay and Rachel. A humorous look at the life of teenage girls in high school.

I really enjoyed this movie. The story line is great and so is the acting. Quite humorous in parts.

Within the first few minutes, I knew this was going to be a bad movie. I have like a few of Lindsay's movies, but this one is so confusing and pointless. I watched it a few times to see if if made a difference, it didn't.

A poorly acted modern day version of the Wizard of Oz.

A movie about a small town scandal and a man who tries to commit suicide several times, but there is always someone or something that stops him. I thought this would be good because it stars Ellen Page (Juno) and Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy), but it was really hard to watch the whole movie.

A story of a young girl, who is pregnant, the overbearing mother and the man the mother hires to seduce the girl away from her son... A love square! A bit of a "boob" fixation... The final scene, what I'd like to call 'death by ham' is kind of funny... I managed to get the subtitles (after a few minutes of realising there weren't any playing automatically), by using the a button on the remote control.

I wouldn't really say this is a nail biting or sharp. I admit to only renting this because of Kristen Stewart (who played a minor role), from Twilight. There are a few good actors here, but I really didn't like the movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
This could have been a very good movie because it stars Ellen Page. Unfortunately, the way it is presented makes it very confusing. For most of the movie so far (I sit here and type this while the movie is playing in another room, that tells you how much I'm enjoying it), the movie has been shown in "fragments" of four or five or even more different angles of the current scene all on your screen at once. I don't know where to look! The storyline appears to be about this 15 year old girl, who is seeing a shrink and her little brother is missing and she rides the buses at night.

Another great movie in the Harry Potter series. This movie is quite long (about 2.5 hours), so I watched in two parts.
(Excellent) - review by Anita
My first thought was it would be good to see Robert Pattinson in a movie other than Twilight... My second thought was 'really bad hair' and my third thought was 'really bad acting'. This is some really bad C grade indie UK movie about some strange guy (Pattinson) who hires the author of a self help book to improve his life. The description says this is a "painfully funny journey about dysfunction, growing up and existential crises". Painful is the operative word. I couldn't wait for this movie to end! I think I am being generous giving it 2 stars!

This movie doesn't really focus on the war, even though it set in the middle of one. It focuses on a controversial radio DJ who entertains the troops with his morning and afternoon broadcasts and how he forms relationships/friendships with locals and fellow troops. It's funny how they have 2 censors who have to censor the news before he reads it on air.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
I thought this would show more blood and guts, but I was kind of happy that most of the killing was not seen. I don't like the sex scenes, but they do help you realise that this guy is totally sick and twisted. For a guy how seems to be high up on Wall St, why is his desk so empty? I should probably read the book, just to see the differences...

This is such a great movie. I have seen it a few times on TV and I never get tired of watching it. The stories are all connected somehow. It's a romantic movie with out being too over the top. The characters are real. It's actually quite a long movie at 135 mins, but its always great to watch :)

A nice movie about a relationship breakup and how the man tries to find himself, by moving in with his sick grandma, and how he forms relationships with the family across the street.

An interesting look at the lives of Polish Jews in the concentration camps. The acting was not the best.

The description sounds very good and that was what made me add this movie to my queue. I think the way some of the adults act towards Jasira is a bit offensive and shocking. But as it says on the picture of the DVD cover 'shocking, confronting'. It is definitely that. Interesting to see how the father treats the girl - very strict even thought they live in America, and have American accents.
(Worth watching) - review by Anita
This is actually quite funny. It's a bit of a send up of religion, but it also has meaning to it as well. Interesting cast. Macaulay Culkin as a handicapped boy, Susan Sarandon's Daughter Eva Amurri as a Jewish girl, Weed's Mary Loiuse Parker and Martin Donovan (they both played lovers on Weeds as well). Some very religious people might find it offensive, but I think it should be taken as lighthearted.

A slow moving, but sweet movie about a disabled girl who falls in love and how her family connects with another. Interesting to see 'Twilight's Kristen Stewart in a different kind of role. Not something I'd watch over and over again, but a pleasant move to watch.

I vaguely remember this on tv when I was a kid. The "someones at the door" phrase is a bit eeire and creepy as is the rest of the show. The sheriff has some kind of 'hold' over the town, like he is psychic or a witch or something. I'm not sure what purpose the dead sister/ghost serves. Little Caleb is intriguing. Its not as technologically advanced as some of the other ghost/supernatural shows on tv today, but its still interesting.

Even though wrestling is not my thing, I decided to watch this because of all the reviews I had read about Mickey Rourkes acting. Quite a lot of the wrestling scenes are very violent and that made me a bit squeamish. It is interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes of wrestling; how the wrestlers decide they will carry out their match and the drugs some of them use. I didn't like the ending, it was a bit abrupt, although I think you can guess what actually happened.

A beautiful little movie starring a very young Mischa Barton. Her character, living with her parents in this gated, American community, befriends the local lawn mower guy (Sam Rockwell), who is the local outcast. A beautiful friendship develops between the two.

Makes you want to think twice about having a roommate! A very disturbed character tried to emulate her roommate and take over her life. Scary stuff indeed!

I watched this because I like Stephen King and Johnny Depp. However, for most of the movie, I didn't really know what was happening, it didn't seem like there was a point to the whole movie. I quite like the twist at the end.

I'm not a fan of the Batman movies and I only watched this because of the hype over Heath Ledgers character, The Joker. At almost 2 and a half hours, I found this an extremely long movie and watched it in two parts. I liked Heaths performance, but if it wasn't for him, I would have not even bothered with this movie. I like two of the other actors in this movie, but for me, it was nothing overly special.

I only watched this because it had a young Kristen Stewart (from Twilight) in it. For the better part of the movie, I thought her character was a boy! This is kind of like 'Love Actually' in the sense that several characters and their stories are inter-twined. I didn't like it as much as Love Actually, I found this was a bit slow and didn't really get the point.

This was an ok movie. I'm not really a fan of scary ones or ones starring Naomi Watts. This is the story of a journalist, who tracks down this tape which is supposed to kill people 7 days after watching it, and tries to work out the story behind it.

Not what I was expecting to from Steve Carell, after seeing him in "The 40 Year Old Virgin". This is a bittersweet movie, and is humorous at times. It is the story of a single father raising 3 daughters, who is trying to find love again.

Excellent movie. Had me crying at the end. The events in the movie happened a few years before I was born, so it was interesting for me to see how many protests and how much discrimination there was at the time. Things are much better now, although there is still a bit of opposition.

From the first few minutes of the opening scene, where they are driving, I knew this was going to be a 'different' movie because of the camera angles they were using. Then all of a sudden this heavy metal music plays and scares me a little because I wasn't expecting it. The movie was ok, not a huge fan of Naomi Watts, but the 'at a glance' description made me think it would be an interesting movie to watch. The ending makes you think that the cycle will repeat itself.

I was only interested in this movie because of Zooey Deschanel. Not a huge fan of Jim Carrey's humour and facial expressions. This is the story about Carl (Jim Carrey) who always says no to things and leads a quiet life. He gets dragged along to this 'Yes' seminar and then has to say yes to every question/opportunity he is presented with. It's interesting to think what would happen if we ended up doing this ourselves. Near the end, he discovers he didn't always have to say yes to everything, just the things he really wanted to say yes to. I really liked Zooey's character Allison. In the extras, you get to see the band's video clips. They are great. It is her singing those songs, she has a great voice.

I was only interested in watching this movie because Tahyna Tozzi was in it... She plays 'Suzi' who is a manipulating tart. It is quite a slow moving plot, not much happens until the end. The acting is so-so. Interesting to note, the actor Socratis Otto, who plays the bay guy Max, has just started working on Home

I absolutely ADORED the book. I was a bit disappointed with the movie. Maybe it was because I had such great expectations from the book? I'm not saying the movie was bad, I just didn't get as excited watching it as I did when reading the book. At least the movie is like the book, unlike some other movies that are based on books.

This was a really long movie. I was so tempted to just turn it off, but I really wanted to see how it ended. This is the story about a tribe of Mayans living in the rainforest, who are brutally attacked by another tribe and then taken away to be murdered. One man survives and goes back to the camp site to rescue his pregnany wife. I'm surprised that he could run through the forest for so long when he was injured by a spear! The fight scenes are quite graphic, considering they are only using spears and other hand made implements, not guns or anything like what we have today. The first part of the movie can be quite humorous, but the rest is quite serious.

Third installment of the series. Up until recently, I had not been interested in the Harry Potter movies. I taped the ones that were on TV and was pleasantly surprised. I always thought they were kids movies, but they cater for all ages. Each movie is the same - Harry is at home, something happens and then he goes off to Hogwarts for the next year of magic school. Something happens while at school and Harry, Hermione and Ron save the day.

Interesting movie about a serial killer who murders young girls. In this movie, a lady finds a girls body and then we see the movie unfold in several different stories, each told in the eyes of a different character. Interesting to see Aussies Toni Collette (the lady who finds the body) and Rose Byrne (the morgue assistant who has a missing sister) playing Americans.

I'm not a big fan of Nicole Kidman, but I think she does a great job of playing an "eccentric" mother to two children who are allergic to sunlight. The house is creepy and then one of the children start seeing/feeling the presence of other people in the house. The housekeeping staff are seemingly normal until the end of the movie where you don't expect the twist in the storyline.

I was a bit confused with this movie. For the better part of this very very long movie, I thought I knew what was happening. Then not long before the ending, something weird happens and nothing is like what it was earlier. Naomi Watt's character was this naive aspiring actress at the beginning and by the end was heartbroken, jealous and who knows what else. I don't think I'd watch it for a second or third time to see if it makes more sense because it's such a long movie.
