The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ground to a halt at 20 minutes through it's travel and cleaning the playing surface with detergent had no effect at all! once again we may have more success with a replacement.

The Survivors was a most enjoyable movie , the only difficulty I found with it was that I had to use a bit of detergent on the playing surface. This resolved that difficulty.

The "James May's Big Ideas" Film was most enjoyable, unfortunately I had to clean the disc surface a few times with detergent to enable it to play right through without a fault. Apart from that it was most enjoyable.

The Miss Marple film, even though in Black and White was a most enjoyable film. It played from start to finish without a "Glitch" and was most enjoyable.

Hello, Dolly is film I have been looking forward to for quite some time, and it most certainly did not disappoint me. The rating that I gave was typical of the film's standard. I was especially pleased with the performance of the "VERY" young Michael Crawford.

March Of The Penguins is a superb film, the only bother with it was, like To Kill a Mockingbird I had to wash the playing surface with detergent to enable it to play right through without difficulty.

Although a most enjoyable movie, having been filmed in monochrome, It had a couple of "Glitches" in that I had to clean the playing surface. I first washed it in clean water. This did not help so I then had to wash it again with detergent. Following this treatment it played perfectly.

The replaced copy of Emperors of Antarctica was superb and did not cause any difficulties. As a result it was most enjoyable and proved to be a good selection on your part.

Yes Minister was a most enjoyable story and brought back the enjoyable fun of the T.V. programs of some years ago. I will be returning the replacement Disc of Emperors of Antarctica tomorrow and will look forward to rating and reviewing it in due course.

Although in the old 4 X 3 format both of the films were most enjoyable and, as I referred to in my comments on the Clint Eastwood film. On the day before I returned both of the Blues Greats DVD's I rang and spoke to a most helpful young lady who was a little concerned at my comment about both DVD's being in the one package.

This is a great Clint Eastwood western. It is a Clint Eastwood film that I have no recollection of having seen before. This film as well as the Blues greats played straight through without any problems

Wallace and Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a delightful movie and was well worth watching. I am still looking forward to seeing my favourites, the Jonathan Creek series.

I have always enjoyed Midsomer Murders with Tom Barnaby. Regrettably he has now retired and has been replaced by his cousin and, from what we have seen, having seen only one episode it looks as though it will be just as enjopyable. We have seen information about the second episode to be played this coming Sunday it should be just as good.

Considering that "Trail of the Pink Panther" was created from earlier movies by Peter Sellers, Blake Edwards created a very enjoyable program. Altogether, a good show!

Although I have enjoyed movies by Michael Cain I found that "Get Carter" was not as enjoyable as some of his later ones. As a result I was unable to rate it as highly as later ones.
(Worth watching) - review by Peter
Although I had some difficulty viewing this program which I am tending to blame on my old analogue DVD recorder I did finally resolve my problem and, as with all Jonathan Creek episodes they were very well received and I am looking forward to the next one.

Sean Connery is very good in every role that he plays! My preferred role that he has played was as the captain of a Russian nuclear submarine in "The Hunt for Red October".

Although a little unusual in the approach to the subject the end result was most enjoyable as most Jonathan Creek stories are!

I have been a fan of Jonathan Creek for a long time and am also an avid watcher of Alan Davies in the BBC program QI. Also, as Alan Davies is still a young man I am hoping that Jonathan Creek will be with us for a long, long time.

This is a genuine Classic! I first saw this long ago in a picture theatre and more recently on TV. It's well worth watching time and time again.

A great presentation of this classic movie. Even though filmed in B

I was a little surprised to find this Taggart was the original featuring Mark McManus. However, it was most enjoyable and well worth watching. Peter W

While preparing to review The Lake of Darkness I saw the review by Bernadett B and found that her review pretty well summed up the story. I kept wondering when Wexford was going to become involved. I could not justify a three star rating, hence gave it only two stars.

Although a quite violent and confronting story, and a realistic depiction of war, I found the fairly coarse language could be offensive when shown to a family with young children. As my wife and I do not have children we found it acceptable.

I have always enjoyed Jonathan Creek programs and find Alan Davies a very interesting character. His performance as Jonathan Creek is very well done. I also enjoy watching him in the BBC comedy program QI on the ABC.

This was the first Ruth Rendell book that I read some years ago although I had not seen the film until I saw the DVD. That was most enjoyable.

This was yet another outstanding Mel Gibson performance and a very enjoyable film. It's a pity his personal life is not as exemplary.

Ratatouille was a thoroughly enchanting program and, typical of the standard of all Walt Disney films, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it..

Inspector Wexford movies are always worth watching and very interesting. I have previously read the Ruth Rendell books and watched the movies some time ago on TV.

The Midsomer Murders series programs are always "Gripping" stuff and most enjoyable to watch. The "Season 9" programs with DC Ben Jones are, to me, the best ever.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Peter
Like all Midsomer Murders it was well worth watching - again and again. We tend to prefer season 8.

The year 2000 grand final between Essendon and Melbourne was an outstanding match with both teams performing well. Although both teams started out well with Melbourne getting ahead early, Essendon's catching up and taking the lead later in the match made it a great game - for Essendon - however, all in all it was a great day's football. One of the best aspects of the DVD was the ability to select various options in the presentation and, overall, was well worth watching.

This is a great Television series and is most enjoyable. There should be more of them.

The interesting aspect of this movie was, because of its age it featured some well known actors from years ago. It was also great to see it filmed in monochrome.
(Worth watching) - review by Peter
The best feature of these programs was seeing both John Thaw and Dennis Waterman at a much younger age. Most interesting.

Project A, although a slightly different Jackie Chan film, was very well done and the ending was "TYPICAL" Chan!

The Pink Panther films are, like all Blake Edwards productions, highly entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable.
