I found this film disturbing. One one hand I can understand the humour that comes from listening to people arguing and fighting. We all have a voyeuristic tendency to see what other people get up to in their homes. The disturbing bit is the licence to exploit the two men. Allowing their private life to become public and then become the source of great 'humour' all around the country is I think exploitation. Whilst people will always find reason to argue and fight in most households most of us would be mortified to find our conversations recorded and then made available for all and sundry. Peter and Raymond become de-personalised, objects of mirth, and it is not until we actually see them and hear from Peter later in his life that we realise these men, despite their faults, were human beings no matter how flawed they appear. We never hear from any family, did they have any? Its the removal of any dignity from the characters that most worried me.

I thought this was the best of these films. Very well done.

You couldn't help but think how could an intelligent man be so dumb, but then again emotion and grief can play some funny games on us.

This was a good thriller no brainer until the true identity of the killer was. Then it did get interesting.

This was an ok movie. You feel compelled to watch to the end and then enjoy the way Burns chose to conclude his film.

This was a great little film. Lots of ethnic concerns and some parallels with the Karate kid films. Overall an enjoyable 100 minutes, well acted and with excellent FX.

I liked this movie. It was a good story about a doomed wedding and doomed it was. What could go wrong did. The whole comedy of not being able to find the church was a great idea. Itnthe two Icelandic films I have seen the landscape is so barren you have to wonder how people live there. In one memorable scene two characters are looking at the scenery and one asks the other does he think it is beautiful? To which he replies No! It sums up the tone of the film.

This movie was so well acted. Anne-Marie Duff is a wonderful and versatile actor. I have seen her in a number of films and she handles whatever situation she is in with great skill. It is worth watching this film just to enjoy the performance she puts in. I thought all in all this film was excellent and engaging throughout.

This one of the best films I have seen in recent times. Excellent character, especially jenny and superbly acted. The end is a little predictable but when it happens you are left gob-smacked.

I liked this story. There was a quirky sense of humour attached to it. I did question the end as to what we are meant to believe by the films end.

Whilst a lot of what they do is outdated there remains the skill and purpose of the program they created. They still have much to show us about the skill of being a comic.

This is a strange film about an aspect of us all we would probably want hidden. Many people may find it embarassing to admit to others that they see similarities between these characters and themselves. The ending is very sad and you have to ask why. Was it just a matter of playing a game or was it a sad case of peer pressure?

I thought this film was ok, manly because Meryl is so good an actress and Uma is so lovely to look at.

This whole series was very good. It is a shame we are never to see the next installment.

Whilst Molly Shannon is very good in the lead role the whole premise of the film creates a sense of sadness about people like Molly's character. Added to that is the sadness of every other character in the film as well. It was interesting to watch and to see where the film maker took the audience.

Frances Mcdormand is a great actor.Watch this film and marvel at how good this woman is. She is supported by a host of excellent actors and Amy Adams is a wonderful support.

Yhis film was a challenge but it did engage me and I wanted to know just where it was going. Where it went and the whole point is still a mystery.

What can you say but what a lot of fun these people must have had in making this film. That they made no reference to their nudity is wonderful, I enjoyed the whole unlikely premise of it.

Some folk do miss stuff in films. That they make us think and take us on a journey that demands we think about the characters and what is happening to them is what makes a good film. You did have to think about this one and watch and be engaged in the pain Keane suffers throughout and the temptation he deals with at the films end.

Michael Caine is just so good. I watched this film to see him in action. The Jude Law multiple character didn't fool me, but it had such a Pinter feel about it that made the tale so much more enjoyable.

I enjoyed this film. Being a Juliet Binoche admirer I was pleased with the point of the film and also pleased with the performance of Forest Whittaker. This film does touch on the foundations of modern spirituality and gives a lot of food for thought.

As expected Hugh Lawrie is great. My disappointment if there is to be one is that the shows all follow a similar format. After disc one does this change? Maybe I have to watch some more.

I thought this was a rivetting film. Ellen Page was great, scary and confronting. The whole premise of the film would film most guys with dread and pleasure that they wouldn't ever find themselves in this guys position.

This movie despite its obnoxious male character had some redeeming features. It was a powerful film about what "love"can do, though I'm not all that convinced the guys wife was operating from love but rather commitment. I think the film suffered a bit from leaving us the audience a little incredulous at times about how the things that happened did happen. Overall it had a satisfying ending. Lets hear it for the Buddists.

I thought this was a great exploration of this strange and secluded way of life. Underneath the silence lies a profound and very spiritual way of life that many of us could never contemplate, which is of course what these men do, contemplate!

it is all abit dated nowadays. The series was more character based and as such the production values are a bit wanting. Still there was a few good lines that are worth seeing again.

I love this series. The writing is wonderful, the characters are so appealing and you wait on the edge of your seat for Normy's entrance in each episcode.

Worth watching to make you realise how well off we are. What a sad state the world is in when the unfortunate and ignorant are convinced to go on this show. What I find worse is the frenzy the crowd gets into. Its like watching a blood sport where the audience get off and can't get enough of the so called sport.

This is a very clever and well written show. Yes they are a lot of pompous characters but then again it is close to the real thing.

Ok some interesting ideas but design wise its very 70's and somewhat dated - but more than this is all a bit too self important and self indulgent.

Wow - what a great idea - wasted. This film entirely depends on the final 10 minutes to makes sense (and I won't spoil it by telling) but im afraid it just doesn't work - too many unanswered questions, pointless events and relationships. A real pity.

IT was challenging and had me gripped for the most of the film - bet in the end there was just a touch too much hysteria and the final twist ultimately was far fetched .. i wont explain this - dont want to spoil it ... but in the end i was dissatisfied ( I was a big fan of SEVEN)

Interesting story - beautiful , lyrical but in the end it seemed longer then its 95 mins.. just a touch too much lyrical, slow motion, significant moments made it seem a touch bloated - but still the well worth a look.

Excellent comdeic film ... this is an observation of how strange every day life can be. Jaques Tati and his character Mr Hulot was an enormous influence on Rowan Atkinson... Mr Hulot is a far pleasanter person than Mr Bean but has an equally awkward relationship to everday objects and situations. A quiet wry and delightfull charming view of city life

The actors are great - the writing is fine.. but it was sooo flat. It really lacked pace and energy. The female characters (especially Billy Bob's girlfriend) are seriously underused... I wouldnt give it a second viewing - so much potential underused....... If you feel undemanding - just a total veg out maybe - what a pity

This is a remake of an excellent and equally challenging russian film of the same name - based on the Science Fiction novel by Stanislav Lem. It takes a different path than the first film in choosing and exploring the major themes but is equally good in its own right. An exploration of what is reality - the nature of memory and the way it changes our perceptions and what is the truth.... I really liked it - a thinker's film. But if you like lots of excitment, special effects and bleeding veins dripping form the mutant maws of killer aliens this isn't the film for you.

What a disappointment - one never expects the film the same as the book - different media require different approaches. But, changes were made that made it all seem pretty silly and overinflated even melodramatic. All the complexity of the characters was lost - what a pity!

One for all the family, informative but more than anything intriguing, entertaining and marvellous. The mind boggles at what technology can achieve.

Weeeelllll kinda interesting. I liked the whole visual feel of the movie but its slow ... not intriguing slow but get a move on slow. I suspect it will mean more to experienced gamers and v.r freaks. but ultimately it hasn't got much to say. I find the idea of a joint polish/ japanese production fascinating. The acting is adequate but not terribly exciting.

Great for us all to see the beginnings of comedy on film.

Of interest because it was Pj's first. Yes its a spoof but it has all the hallmarks of a script written by first year medical students, a budget saved up out of someone's lunch money and filmed on location in his gran's backyard - it was interesting for about 10 minutes and then the curiossity value wore off. High point: Derek against the aliens "I'm a Derek and Derek's don't give up!".

To be a comdey it would actually need to be funny. Tilda swinton is somewhat interesting and Karen BLack is a travesty.... It has curiosity value but little else

This film continues to be rivetting. I saw it years ago and this time I found it compelling viewing. A great example of Hitchcock's art.

This is an excellent flick. It focuses on the impact of impeding extinction rather than the technology - no special effects, simply a study of the human condition
