From the preview, I expected something along the lines of a Colombiana flick, unfortunately this is B grade at best in all aspects of plot, acting, characters etc. Don't expect too much.

This movie was written by someone who had a 5 minute idea, and then proceeded to repeat it 18 times to make up a 90 minute movie. It’s the same 5 minute scene replayed in different streets, with different people getting killed and the occasional different zombie. What a waste of time and electricity to play this. There are much better zombie flicks out there, avoid at all costs.

Another movie where you have to continuously change the volume as the talking is that low compared to the supporting soundtrack you're reaching for the remote every 5 minutes. Drink and drugs and then the secret pact is revealed. Can't really recommend.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
This is a horrible movie in all respects. Firstly, the audio is a real pain, the dialogue is most of the time difficult to hear due to people whispering, mumbling and talking under their breath. Even if you turn it up loud, it is still hard to hear what's going on. The supporting music and effects are the complete opposite where they are so loud compared to the dialogue you find yourself reaching for the remote constantly. Secondly, the video is washed out and so soft that I reckon my mobile phone could do a better job. Lastly, the entire story is filled with people they have made out to be the dopiest people on the planet. Near the start of the film it states it is based on true events. If this is the case, then it is an insult to the real people involved because surely they could not have been as dumb as they were made out to be. Rent at your own peril.

1 star for 1 laugh. It is so terrible, it is almost unbelievable. Don't bother with this one.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
This is a great action/fighting movie with a good story that gives the hero a reason for doing what he does. It has more amputations than Kill Bill and more blood than a vampires feeding frenzy. Most of it is believable, apart from the self healing of major wounds. If you like this sort of movie, rent this one, it won't disappoint.

The acting was good but the story is oh so lame. 1 star is all I could manage for this one. Slow, boring, expecting a finale that would be worthy of perservering with the movie but unfortunately the whole thing was just a big let down.

The biggest load of junk you are ever likely to watch. If you watch it you will be wanting to know how to get 90 mins back of your life.

Excellent doco about a high wire walker who made history when walking across a wire between the 2 towers of the WTC in 1974. There is plenty of footage from when the project was being planned and carried out and also new footage of interviews etc. What these people went through to perpetrate this amazing feat is incredible. There's also footage of his walk on a wire on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and plenty of busking footage where he made most of his money to carry out his feats. Highly recommended if you like doco's and are interested in just how they managed to carry this out.

This is 90 mins of my life I won't get back, what a waste of time. No major events in the film just childish, dopey things about time travel that are never really explained.

Typical Futurama, good laughs and weird story however this film is a bit more serious than most of Futurama. It's not until about half way through the main plot unfolds. Any fan of the show will enjoy it.

This is an interesting movie which focuses on the world record score for Donkey Kong while giving insight and background to the whole video gaming world. I learnt many things about the gaming world that I never knew and this documentary really made you feel for many of the characters.
Either this was the greatest documentary on gaming ever made or these guys are the greatest actors I've ever scene. It has a good guy (Steve Wiebe) who is the man doing everything he can to get a fair go at being recognsed as the champ and a bad guy (Billy Mitchell) who held the record for 20 years. Billy comes off as the biggest a-hole I've ever seen and you cannot help but cheer against him. He is arrogant, rude, and a real disgrace to all of those around him, yet his fans love him like he is a saint.
This bloke has based his whole life around the record he set in the 80s and the whole gaming world seems to be for him and against anyone else.
Watch this if you have any interest in the 80s gaming world and finding out it hasn't yet died off.

This movie is interesting where it digs into trying to find the identities of the flag lifters however I think somewhere along the line, Clint got mixed up as to whether he wanted to shoot a war movie or a documentary on these mens identities. It has some of the most immersive sound track which will put your home theatre system to the test and is a good experience to watch, just think it could have used the fact that there were 2 movies with both sides of the story to blend them more together. From memory there was only 1 scene where I thought, oh, that's the bit that happened in the 'letters' movie.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
The whole premise of this movie where the same event is played out multiple times from various people's points of view makes it a little repetitive but at the same time it is interesting to see how it all fits together. The good cast makes it worth a look.

You rent this film expecting a laugh and you get way more than that. I don't think I have laughed so hard since I saw Team America years ago. This is an outright comedy, if you want realism, don't be watching this. I absolutely loved it and my wife who isn't a fan of Adam Sandler was also laughing her head off. Laughs by the 100s.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
It's exactly what you expect, calm, colourful, be good to have as a background to a pleasant night of conversation but not entertainment as far as sitting back and watching all night. I enjoyed the colours of the reefs but in some places it did seem to drag on a bit.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Avoid this movie, it is like the last 3rd of the script was lost. We have a story were some things are happening, then the story develops with the characters trying to avoid this thing happening to them, then the end of the movie comes, no real explanation as to why it is all happening only people guessing at what is causing it and then it ends. What a joke, did I miss something, was there supposed to be a 2nd disc with the resolution to the movie on it ?

Great movie, good story, good action, good sound and picture. Ed Norton plays the part well and all the actors do a good job in this one.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Has more of a story than most of their flicks with good laughs and not entirely filled with brainless fights. The picture is also in widescreen which is a nice change.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
If you like to listen to blokes make their guitars sing then you will love this one. Very talented fellows, I enjoyed it a lot.

This one has some good additional scenes, particularly in the big fight scenes. I didn't notice any difference in the picture or sound.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
After falling asleep on 3 occasions while trying to watch this and never getting to the end, I reckon that was an indication to me that the film was complete garbage. Nothing like the 1st film with the Rock, I can't really recommend this one.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
X-Men 1.5 has better sound and slightly better picture. Apart from that I didn't notice anything within the story that was different.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Video and sound is great, the story you should already know so no point going into that. Great action flick with a bunch of great actors, Downey is awesome in the pivotal role and throws in just enough humour to make it real.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
I think this is one of the best kids movies I have seen. This is definately a film that kids (of all ages) will enjoy, many funny moments in this one, fantastic animation and an intersting and unusual story.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
From the opening scenes you realise you are in for a TeleMovie and it's a pretty bad one at that. I originally added this to my queue thinking it was the Brendan Fraser version and when I realised my mistake I still thought I would give it a go. Too bad for me, it was slow paced, poorly acted and the creature effects look like they came from a primary school class.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
The video quality of this film looks like it came from 1929 not 1969, it's one of the worst I've seen. Unfortunately the story is nothing like a Trinity movie so I didn't find the crappy picture being outweighed by the enjoyment of the film. It isn't really comical like most of Terence Hill's films and the story is just plain boring and painful to watch.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
A secret society of ousted cops turned vigilantes who put the main character in a position where he is forced to decide what is important to him. It has some really over the top car chase scenes and action scenes. It is worth watching and C.T.H. plays the part reasonably well but it has a thin plot.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Some good laughs and you feel sorry for the guy. Has a predictable ending which is what we all wanted to see. The Dracula opera idea was a bit weird but was necessary to show his growth. Worth watching but it's not an out an out comedy.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This was more of a romantic drama with a bit of comedy thrown in. Not a huge amount of laughs but enjoyable enough to watch. All about the loser of a guy striving hard in his efforts to win his ex-girl back. You feel for the guy and that's what makes it work.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
I think they should change the genre of this film to comedy because if you watch it expecting to laugh, you will not be disappointed. Fake looking aliens, fake looking special effects, heads being bitten off and a plot that is laughable all makes for 1 good comedy. If you want sci-fi / action this aint the film.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
Good harmless fun and it is one of the better recent take off films. Focuses mostly on Spiderman with a few others thrown in. Leslie Nielsen is always good value.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
A very young Dennis Quaid does alright in this film. It kind of has a bit of a brainstorm feel to it with a project experimenting with people entering other people's dreams to supposedly help them with whatever is troubling them. Quaid plays the most gifted and nicest of them who ends up helping out the Prez of the USA. Worth a look if you like these sorts of films.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This movie looks like it was filmed through a dirty window, horribly soft and lacks any real detail. The fight scenes are lame, kicks missing heads by a metre, the plot is confused and we have laughable continuity moments where people in 1 shot are using their fists and the next spraying bullets from 2 guns. There was also a magical helicopter that managed to stay level while 2 people were fighting on the outside of it, I'm sure any pilots would love it if it was that easy to fly one. There are better "man goes to prison, fights lots of people" type movies around.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
Blackmore is the highlight, man can he play guitar and most of the time he doesn't even look at what he is doing. Some good really old songs with a few from the Perfect Strangers album aswell. The concert footage is broken up with interviews where you don't hear the question, only the bands answers and most of the time they are whining about something. Too bad they didn't just play songs.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
I wanted to see this so much that after not getting in the first week from Quickflix I went out and rented it from the shop. It is a great Stargate movie, even though there isn't a lot of out-of-space type stuff. Good story, the time travel element is what I liked about the story, and all the old characters that came back were a bonus.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
This has more blood and guts than a blood and guts factory. I liked it, this is the way all the Rambo shoot up everyone films should have been like. I guess they have only just got the computer special effects generated blood to a point they can do it like this. On a couple of occassions you could see it was CG but most of it looked pretty damn good. If you liked the other Rambo films, you will love this one.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Colin
It wasn't as bad as it could have been, some nice emotion within the futuristic film but this is NOTHING like Cyborg, the action is pretty tame and its only OK if you are really looking for a change.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Pretty boring and typical of Dolph at this stage of his film career. A few action scenes thrown in amongst some excuses to get to the next action scene.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
This was so......... boring, I tried on 3 different occassions to get through it but I just couldn't. It's also in Spanish with no English audio track and for someone who has ticked the option that I don't want foreign films I was a bit annoyed when this came up as a recommendation and I overlooked the fact it was foreign. Avoid unless you speak Spanish or love reading subtitles to a slow, slow, watch the paint dry film.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
It was funny but not as interesting as the 1st film. The twist at the end was pretty predictable. Bruce Willis is the highlight but even he struggles in this one.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This is a pretty average film, Van Damme doesn't do a bad job as the bloke who is sent to a harsh prison, but we know he can kick ass, yet he plays a character who is a complete wimp for the 1st 3rd of the film, then he gets all fit in the 'hole' and then all of a sudden he wins a fight and becomes the man to beat. Pretty predictable, only for the enthusiastic VD fans.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
It is actually not a movie like the Family Guy - Blue Harvest one, this is more a bunch of clips from episodes that mainly feature Stewie. These clips are uncut so there is some language that you wouldn't have heard in the same clips from the TV show and also some of the clips are extended past what was previously seen. Good fun, definately will be enjoyed by any fans of Family Guy.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Worth a look if you like Leslie Nielsen, it's not as good as most of his other films, but still some good laughs. You know what to expect when you rent one of his films and this one delivers that same stuff. This one isn't so much of a 'take-off' film and in that respect probably doesn't come off as funny.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Hard to follow, didn't know who was who and in 1 particular scene I'm thinking OK these are the good guys, now these are the bad guys, now someone else is running around attacking everyone. What the... Its B grade at best, the highlight of the film was Jeff Speakman, too bad he didn't get more screen time.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
A hyped up movie that turned out to be a waste of time, but not that much time since it only goes for 70 minutes. Who makes a 70 minute movie ? The end was so abrupt, I was asking myself hangon is that it ? Nothing was finalised, it was almost like the last act was dropped from the film and they stuck 15 mins of credits in to fill it up. The only reason I'm glad I rented it is because it saved me money buying it. LOL.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
This film is so forgettable I didn't realise I had seen it before I rented it from here. Early on it does tell you its in NZ but it could have been based anywhere, it makes no difference. The NZ accents are a dead give away to where it was filmed but the screenplay must have been written by someone who wrote all the back story and character info on a different piece of paper because you just don't care about any of the people or care about anything they are doing as you watch it. Meh.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
Plenty of laughs, Leslie Nielsen can carry a spoof movie all on his own. A variety of movies are taken off in this one and Nielsen is his usually wacky self. If you like his movies, this one is worth watching.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
There were some funny moments, mainly from the Surf School teacher in his off the planet manner. Storyline is very simple, but for a movie called Surf School, the schooling was a bit lame, the never surfed before lamo's managed to be surf legends after what looked like a couple of hours practice. Lots of bikini babes and some likeable characters.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Oldies and Goodies and some you might not have heard before. I've seen a few video clips that have obviously come from this concert. The streamers hanging in front of everyone's faces is the most annoying thing. The video is in 1.33:1 aspect ratio and the audio is very front channel bias, the main noise from the surround channels is only the crowd.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
I rate this film as being better than the first. There is more comedy, more likeable characters and a lot more going on in the film. When Mick rescues Sue from the drug lord and then puts her in his own protective custody in the aussie outback things really get moving. Like I said about the first, the video/sound really need a cleanup and this movie deserves it.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
A classic flick, surely anyone who rents this has already seen it and wants to watch it for a bit of nolstagia. Mick Dundee is really the character I think of when I think of Paul Hogan. Too bad they haven't done a special edition with improved video/sound, a film like this deserves it more than many they fix up.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
B grade cop flick with standard storyline of new cop on the block who isn't wanted by the local precinct cops, corruption, violence etc. Chow and Wahlberg make it watchable but nothing special.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
If you are a Stargate fan you will enjoy this first direct to DVD movie with the TV stars in it. Ties up the loose ends deliberately left at the end of Season 10, if you haven't seen the TV series, then it might not make much sense to you.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
The dvd was in such bad shape that I couldn't even watch some of the chapters, and after all that I don't think I missed much. The synopsis pretty much says it all.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
It didn't have much to do with time travel at all except 1 person being sent back from the future to prevent global destruction from a misunderstood alien race who. Stop 1 event from happening and save the planet, with a lot of gun fire and fighting along the way.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Thin plot about the bad guy doing bad things to the good guys family in order to get him to fight. There are a number of good fight scenes with some talented people.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This is B grade to the max, starting off with a 2 channel audio track, moving on to dodgy SPFX, bizarre dialogue etc. Michael Madsen really only plays a bit part, and not a good one at that. Predictable, only worth watching if you like to laugh at attempts at killing people via a giant Croc.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
This is overall a good concert which has some very familiar footage ie Eddie with a cigarette sticking out the end of his red and white guitar, the JD being sculled etc. The main problem with the concert is that they spend too much time with their self-indulgent solo's, at least 5 mins for the drummer, 5 mins for the bass, 10 mins for Eddie and then another 5 mins of Sammy Hagar crapping on. In all, only 11 songs are played an although they are fantastic musicians, I feel that had more time been dedicated to the songs of the band it would have served them better as far as this dvd is concerned. The DTS track is quite loud and clear but mainly front channel focused. The video is average. A good watch for the fans, its too bad they just didn't give us more, no encore's, no "Hot For teacher", plenty of their iconic songs not being played.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
For a doco that was supposed to be showing us what could happen if a global disaster like this occurred, it only touched the surface and the acting was amateur at best. There was some interesting info but when there is a father/daughter trying to find their wife/mum because they were dumb enough to leave her on her own in a car while everyone was trying to evacuate a city, it just seem to waste too much time with a variety of little side plots that didn't really add to the overall feel. The worst part was definately the so-called scientific experts giving us their boring insight, especially the bloke with the twitching eye. What was the reason for this, who knows.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
I will describe this in one word.. Strange. I could understand what was going on with the 2 companies plus the 'mystery man' but throughout the whole movie I was thinking "What is the goal, what is the info they are trying to get" and when you get to the end and find out you will be thinking surely they could have had a more interesting reason for going through all of this cloak and dagger stuff. It could have been very interesting but it lost itself along the way.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
It's nowhere near as good as the 1st, this one just plods along setting up intrigue here and there, similar to the 1st but there aren't any real blockbuster action scenes until you get near the end. It doesn't open with a bang and continues along that path. I enjoyed it, but just not as much as I had hoped.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This bloke sure does like carrots, both to eat and kill people with. Full on action, with some very unbelievable stunts that you can only laugh out. Some tongue-in-cheek humour and certainly worth watching if you can detach yourself from reality and just watch the show.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Great concert, you can tell all involved is having a great time. The picture is nice and clear and the DTS soundtrack is sensational, nothing in it is too overbearing as is the case with many other concerts mixed in 5.1. Highly recommended, apart from the fact that Disc 2 was so damaged I had to skip certain chapters to get it to play. Why is it that people don't treat discs like they are fragile rather than treating them like drink coasters.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Colin
I expected B Grade but I got a lot more than that. Interseting plot, good action, good sound, well acted, I believe there will be many more films starring Stone Cold Steve.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
This was much slower than I expected and void of explanation for most of what was happening. It was like the Director thought, OK everyone knows its about a man on his own, so lets not bother with the details. It missed some really kick-ass action scenes, I expected a lot more from this film, the ending was unnecessary. There just wasn't enough happening, enough said.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
Its bad but it aint the worst thing I've seen. B Grade acting, plenty of violence, blood, armless action lol.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
I think it was better than the 1st film, much of the same but this time it was set across a city. Heaps of zombie killings like the 1st, didn't think they needed to re-do the dogs and the main zombie was no real surprise.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Some really funny moments amongst many lame one's. The plot is very similar to the original, bloke gets taken on bachelor party, another bloke trying to sabotage his relationship with his fiance so he can swoop in and of course the bachelor isn't interested in doing the wrong thing by his fiance. Plenty of topless babes running around, worth a look if you don't mind these sorts of films.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
I didn't realise a language nursery meant lets speak lots of different languages, I thought it was about expanding childrens understanding of the English language. It didn't hold my youngster's attention like the other Baby Einstein discs. Too much talking and not enough music.

This is a B grade sniper movie. If you want to watch a good one, rent 'Shooter' with Mark Wahlberg.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
This one disc has the setup of the concert in the 1st half and the concert in the 2nd. It was too bad they didn't play more of their hits in the concert, half the songs I wasn't that familiar with but then again I am not a Kiss fanatic. 2000 Man is my favourite Kiss song and they didn't play that so I was a bit bummed out.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
In Bloodsport 4, you have the same actor that was in 2 & 3, now playing a completely different character. I kept asking myself, I don't remember him being a Cop in the last 2 films until I realised he was a different character. This is the weakest of all the Bloodsports, very lame choreography, fight scenes are soft, plot is weak, acting is horrible. After reasonably enjoying #2 & #3, I was disappointed in this film. Enough said.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
This is freakin' funny. Any fan of Family Guy or Star Wars with a sense of humour will love this film. The extras on the disc are also a rare jewel, some very interesting and funny stuff. When I was watching the film I was thinking how do they get away with ripping off Star Wars like this, in the extras I find an interview with George Lucas who was openly supportive of their plans on making the film. The only negative is that they didn't go the whole hog and film it in widescreen, which would have added to the experience. Enjoy.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Colin
Good film, loads of action which is exactly what you expect from a Jet Li and Jason Statham flick. A decent, but familiar story with a big twist near the end, the kind of twist you would find in The Sixth Sense etc. Good viewing for any fans of these guys.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
The director of photography of this film should be strung up. There are better ways to film scenes to make them look like night where the viewer at home can actually see what is going on. This film was almost entirely shot in the exterior at night and in most scenes, half of the picture is that dark you can't see what is going on. I have a good tv, setup with dvd essentials, and if it looks this bad when the tv is setup properly, the picture is at fault, not the tv. Turning up the brightness to an unacceptable level is just not on, it was so terrible I wasn't able to enjoy it at all, even though I didn't mind the original AvP.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
This film takes the obliteration of zombies to a new level, it is full of over the top blood filled violence that sometimes you actually find yourself laughing at it. Definately watch this if you are a fan of blood, gore and flesh eating zombies.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Same plot as the 1st one, good fun, nothing really new in it but always worth watching if you enjoyed the original film. Most of the cast return and there are some new stars in this one aswell, unfortunately no Roger Moore, who I think was the highlight of the 1st.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Daniel Bernhardt is a skillful fighter and plays a different character to that of Van-Damme in the 1st Bloodsport, but for some reason seems to want to emulate his poses and noises etc. The movie is predictable but enjoyable, full of various styles of fighting and plenty of excuses to start a brawl. Good skills, you know what you are getting when you rent this one.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This is probably better than the Bloodsport 2, it doesn't waste any time getting into the mindless action which is what you rent this one for. Plenty of biffo and more focused on the main character than the 'extra' fighters. The only serious complaint is the audio is so bad you have to really turn this up to hear the dialogue and put up with some subsequent hiss.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Good fun, with a cast of stars. Plenty of laughs, with Roger Moore stealing the show as a character who is pretending to be Roger Moore who is pretending he is James Bond. Classic.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
4 twilight zone stories reminiscent of the original Tv series. I can't quite work out why they call these unrelated stories a 'movie' as they are in the same mold as the series, but if you enjoy the TV show, then you will enjoy this as well.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Some good harmless fun which may bring back a few memories if you watched this years ago. Unfortunately the video quality is poor and it is in 4:3 ratio.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Some genuinely scary moments and some unexpected one's as well. It has an unexpected ending, but like all these sorts of films, it could have ended 10 different ways. Definately worth watching and as expected, Cusack carries the film well.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This movie is a bunch of action/killing scenes that have little to do with anything strung together by a plot as thin as the paper it was written on. You will find yourself asking "How to he get here, why is he doing this". Had someone written a script to explain the whys and wheres it may have made more sense.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
As entertaining as Disc 1, good value.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Great to watch, most of the episodes have entertaining finale's and good street magic along the way. A couple of episodes aren't quite as good but you find yourself more often than not asking "How did he do that".
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Some good harmless fun with some good laughs. Keith David (Armageddon) is the highlight of the film.

Good for the young ones along the lines of the baby einstein films.

Bad girl in relationship with even badder bloke. Bashings, killings, drugs etc, seen it all before.

Run of the mill vampire movie with no real surprises. The sacraficial ending is very reminiscent of Blade 2.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
An entertaining film with plenty of colour and sound for the young ones and a deeper story for the older one's.

A few laughs in amongst a familiar plot re-worked around table tennis. Chris Walken is always good value but doesn't get enough to do in this film.

Any fan of Futurama is going to love this. Classic humour, you wouldn't know the gang hasn't been together for a few years. Good story with plenty of time travel twists, can't wait for the next Futurama movie.

This has to be one of Arnie's best movies, I have been looking for it for ages on DVD and very happy to see it on this site. Arnie has more 1 liners in this film than probably all of his others added together. Good action and humour, Arnie at his ass kicking best.

Not bad, no surprises, plenty of zombies and gore. If you are a fan of the previous 1s you should enjoy this.

Nowhere near as bad as I was expecting after reading some horrible reviews. I enjoyed it more than #2 and thought the laughs and action were well balanced with some pretty cool albeit expected stunts from Jackie Chan.

Another classic oldy but a goody. Harmless fun with the synopsis telling you every thing you need to know. To think this bloke turned out to play some of the most amazing characters in many popular films makes it even more interesting.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Classic film with Dangerfield at his best. Plenty of laughs with a serious side thrown in near the end. Downey is also a classic, with a different comical hair style in every scene.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Bana is good, serious and funny all in one. Drew Barrymore plays a similar sort of role as she played in The Wedding Singer. The film was interesting but mostly predictable throughout, with an ending that can unfortunately be seen a mile away. This ruined it a bit for me as I was hoping it wasn't going to turn out as I guessed it would.

An oldy but a goody. Roy Scheider is always worth the price of admission and interestingly the technology used in the film was all current at the time.

There are some very talented fighters in this film, very athletic and powerful. Michael Jai White is his typical no nonsense, let his fists do the talking self. The story is pretty predictable but worth a look for any fans of the fighting action genre.

It is interesting to watch, however it is a dramatization and for some reason I thought it was more of a situation where 2 blokes were making a documentary and then they ran into problems which they caught on film. The tales of endurance are amazing, but you really have to wonder why these experienced climbers (who also had a bloke waiting at base camp) didn't think to have a radio/walkie talkie or a signal flare with them. Had this been the case the problems after the rope was cut would have been much less. All this pain for lack of a radio, just can't believe it.

Christian Bale plays his part well, however the film just rolls along at a slow pace. Drinking, drugs, trips to Mexico, shoot outs and it all sounds interesting, unfortunately it isn't really.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
Most of the film is taken up by 1 bloke being told he has a great ex-girlfriend and he should get back together with her and he spends the whole film umm'ing and arrr'ing about it. In between the obvious eventuality of them getting back together, the people working at the Snooker/Pool shop get into a few situations that are sometimes humerous but not what I would describe as hilarious. There are a few laughs but not really what I expected.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
For a film described as a comedy the laughs were few and far between. I really had to struggle through a lot of it, there were occassional moments you could laugh at, but basically I couldn't wait for the very predictable end to come.

A film about someone making porno films where you don't see a single nude body. Very weird, very B grade but you do find yourself having a laugh at some of the situations. Nothing special at all.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
Some good laughs in this film, but really you have seen it all before, no surprises but worth a look.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
There are some decent fighters in this but the plot (or lack of) and the choreography is pretty sad. This is supposed to be an action fighting film but I think its more of a laugh than anything.

This is a good action flick with the premise a man can see 2 mins into the future. Generally a good story but with the familiar sub plot of a bunch of terrorists wanting to blow up a city. Good visuals and soundtrack, well worth watching.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
It's a no brainer action flick with any excuse for an explosion. The baddies show how dumb the script is when they steal 12 million in diamonds and later decide to hold up a service station for no apparent reason. When you watch this one, turn your brain off and enjoy the carnage.

While watching this film, I found myself at many times thinking, what is the main story being told here. It seems to be all over the place, just going from 1 ridiculous scene to the next. Its exactly what I thought it would be like, having watched the 1st 2 films. You already know what you are going to get before you rent this one.

After seeing the previews I had an idea of what to expect and I got exactly what I expected. Plenty of laughs (sometimes pretty crass) with a story of love thrown in for good measure. Well worth watching.

I wasn't sure what I was getting with this film and after watching it, I am still not sure. It had lots of footage of Penguins that I am guessing was sourced from various documentaries, and then you had well known actors as voice-overs for the Penguins. It tried to be funny and succeeded at various times but on the whole it was pretty slow and uneventful.

Good all round war/suspense/action film. Based on a true story, this would be scary times for the snipers and even scarier for their intended targets.

Some interesting photos taken of Mars that points at un-natural creations of some faces and habitats, even a picture that looks like a huge tree.

Good entertainment for the whole family. Amazing animation, blockbuster sound with a few lessons for the kids hidden in there.

A classic Michael Bay action flick full of entertainment. Get out the popcorn, sit back and enjoy.

Light hearted fun, Tim Allen is worth a few good laughs and the story has a very predictable outcome but still worth a look if you like a bit of harmless humour.

It seems the Species movies are going further downhill on each new release. This doesn't have anything on the earlier 1s and nothing new is really added into the mix. They also dropped most of the naked skin that was so abundant in Species 3.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
Not as good as the 1st film. Takes a different slant with a small team of soldiers being left on their own after a cancelled mission. It doesn't have the solitude and smooth slow motion action like the 1st film and in trying to create tension from a 1st person's point of view the camera wobble gets a bit too much to handle after a while. Trying to imitate the suspense of the beach landing in Saving Private Ryan but just not pulling it off.
(Maybe) - review by Colin
A top film for the kids and enjoyable for the adults as well. Amazing animation, but I suppose we expect that nowadays. It is fun to watch with an underlying lesson for the kids.

I like the no-nonsense approach Moore has in all his films and this is no different. Worth watching, with some intersting information presented that you just wonder how he gets his hands on.

Good popcorn flick, enjoyable visuals and sound, no academy awards but worth watching if you enjoyed the 1st film.

This DVD has no episodes on it. It is merely an extra's disc with not a whole lot of interesting stuff on it. Only for the Rod Serling die hard fans.

If you have seen some pictures about the moon landing's being hoaxed then you aint seen nothing yet. This film goes into great detail comparing video footage and still photography and really leaves you with nowhere to go but to believe it was all a complete shame. The film has 3 parts, the first pulls apart all the video/photos, the second discusses the radiation problems the astronauts would have run into and the third part is where it gets a bit sidetracked and really doesn't make any more points you haven't seen in parts 1 and 2.
If you are a blind believer in the moon landings and knowing the truth is going to upset you then don't watch this, for anyone interested in the possibility that it was all hoaxed, this is a must see. It isn't full of people's opinions, it is full of scientific and physical facts with many reputable people being interviewed, including the man who actually built the still cameras that were supposedly used on the moon. Good stuff.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
This release of the film absolutely blows the U.S release away. The story makes a lot more sense, some of the fight scenes are extended and in general it is just a way better version. Rent this version and you won't be disappointed.
(Not to be missed!) - review by Colin
This film is so forgettable that I didn't even realise I had seen it before. Nothing new in this film, run of the mill, but with plenty of naked skin revealed.

Funnier than the 1st film, plenty of eye candy and you get exactly what you would expect.

I rented this hoping to see a good presentation of the opposite side of the coin to 'An Inconvenient Truth'. What I got was a boring load of dribble, that was painful to even sit through the 60 min main feature let alone any of the extras. They make a couple of worthwhile points but keep referring to historical data that is never presented. Maybe the climate changes are just a natural cycle but it could have been presented better.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
The real young ones will like this, plenty of bright colours and music to keep their attention.

Good stuff, you should already know what you are getting into when you choose any Twilight Zone discs.

I liked it, but its not as good as the previous 2, just good eye candy action. Too many things going on to really get deep into any major plot.

A typical good guy vs bad guy wanting to bully the local businesses. A bit like Roadhouse without the bar and all the biffo. Doesn't compare to the original Walking Tall.

Run of the mill, pretty much what I expected. Don't think Snipes has been in anything good apart from Blade for a long time. It was watchable but I lost interest at various times.

Ho-hum, give me Star Wars anyday. Poor old George Lucas must have been tripping when he made this one.

The premise of this film is an all too common one in the real world of big business with the restructuring of the company sending many people to the scrap heap. Good acting with a predictable outcome, but worth watching.

An oldie but a goodie, had an intersting plot back in the days it was made and Martin Short is always good for some laughs, with Dennis Quaid putting in usual good performance.

The film was well paced and had some unusual twists. Well worth watching.

Looks like Chuck must be slowing down because they resorted to speeding up the film during the action scenes just to make it seem exciting. Not even sure if the die hard Chuck fans will like this one.

Ho-hum B grade flick...just.

This is unlike any other Adam Sandler film, he really nails the role and is completely believable in it. If you are looking for laughs this ain't the film, but for a serious and moving story about a man's grief after the loss of his family, this is very well told. I imagine when the casting people put Adam Sandler up for the role, there would have been many people wondering what was going on.

On the surface it seems a bit like The Faculty, unfortunately this is lame lame lame incomparison.

Familiar computer hacker breaks into where he shouldn't plot wrapped around some interesting futuristic thoughts on where the computer chat room might end up.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
It wasn't quite what I expected as I was thinking it was going to be a bit like 'Fast and the Furious' on 2 wheels however it was more like some cops and bad guys chasing the wrong man for a crime he didn't commit with some outrageous and unbelievable stunts that took you away from any realism you could have been immersed in. When bikes can land on the top of a moving train and land in between carriages it makes you laugh at scenes that I don't think were supposed to be comical. Some good shots and half decent acting, worth a look, but don't expect too much realism.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Not a bad film with some big name actors but I was continually expecting Charlie Sheen to break out into his character from 'Hot Shots'. For Navy Seals they don't spend a lot of time in the water, however they do carry out some typical kill the terrorist and save the hostage action scenes.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
Although it got plenty of bad press, I enjoyed it, even though I don't think Nicolas Cage is a super hero kind of guy. Good visuals with an intersting story.
(Excellent) - review by Colin
Some big name actors in this film that doesn't take itself too seriously in trying to re-create the schlock 'aliens are taking over the human race' story. Worth having a look if the story line interests you.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
A good no-brainer action sci-fi film. Worth watching with a bowl of popcorn.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This movie is an absolute bore to watch. I only got it because of all the "greatest film ever made' garbage I heard about it. I couldn't wait for it to end and anyone who reckons this is any good is afraid of being looked upon as someone who didn't grasp the content, emotion, and direction of this film. What a joke, do not bother unless you like boring old B&W films.

Three people marooned on an Island, with some sexual tension thrown in. Wasn't as bad as I expected and worth a look.

A somewhat confusing plot with it jumping around a bit. The sort of movie you need to watch a couple of times to really grasp what is going on.

If you like the take-off movies, you will like this one, lots of good laughs and the look-a-like actors do a top job of the impersonations.

The plot of this film is as follows. A scientist has a device which looks a bit like an ipod that allows him to repeat time with a supposed 10 minute limit, rather than travelling back in time. He decides to test it in a bank while chatting up the bank clerk and winds up as a hostage of the bank robbers. This film has more gunfire than Arnie's Commando and doesn't attempt to be anything more than a simple story with a time device gimmick. Watch it if you must.

This film has an interesting story and the illusions are what you would describe as unbelievable, which kind of detaches you from what is happening at some points, because the stunts are so outrageously implausable. There is actually no effort made to make them realistic or believable. Amongst all of the shows, a love triangle emerges and there are definately some unexpected twists in this one. Worth watching, just don't expect any reality from the illusions.

I know he is getting a bit long in the tooth, but after all the hype about this film I expected more of a punch up than what was delivered. A tender and emotional story with Rocky still stuck in the 70s with 1 good fight at the end. Worth watching but not what I expected from this long awaited Rocky film.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
This film has 20 minutes of religious scholars arguing about terms in a book, 2 minutes about a time machine and an hour of a bloke walking around in the future amazed and disgusted at what he sees He preaches his beliefs to people who are mostly uniterested in what he has to say. No real resolution to the story, no weird time paradoxes or anything to really interest the time travel fans. If you are a religious fanatic you may enjoy it more than I did.

A 'cracker' of an Aussie comedy with Mick Molloy acting exactly how you want him to. Good fun with a serious side aswell.

This is a good film but it is shocking and depressing knowing it is based on reality. It is scary to think this sort of thing goes on to these unfortunate people.

I liked this film, based on a true story and the Rock is always good in anything he does. Somehow he has a genuine and decent look about him and when it comes time to kick some heads he is very apt at that.

It's nothing on the original Timecop but it's ok to watch. It's too bad they didn't bother to make the film a bit longer and expand a little on the plot.

This is an outright action packed, hilarious movie. If you remotely liked Statham in The Transporter you will love him in this. Ignore the low ratings people gave this movie if you like action and comedy, it is a top flick in that category from start to finish.

Plenty of laughs that make you hope Cops aren't really going on like this when they are at work.

Not a great movie, Casper has only been any good in Starship Troopers. A disjointed plot with some interesting ideas, one of those movies that could have been so much better.

One of his early movies with some impressive fight scenes, you have to admire his ability. If you know van-damme you know bloodsport, if you have never seen it and are a fan of the genre that its well worth a look.

A good movie which is well cast with Mark Wahlberg as the lead. He is believable as the out of luck bartender who becomes an NFL player after getting his shot at an open try outs. The plot is similar to 'The Rookie' about the baseballer not the Charlie Sheen cop movie of the same name, but it was probably a little shorter and not quite as in-depth, but still I enjoyed it.

This is a shocker, 1 star is being generous. You have a actor playing the role of an ex martial arts world champion who is now a movie star. The start of the movie gives you the idea it has some promise as you see him performing an action scene in his latest movie but then it grinds along for an hour about a beauty pageant being held by some mobster for no apparent reason. The actor is supposed to be great mates with the mobster, but then the mobster decides to go off his head and start a fighting match because the actor got a bit too cutesy with the mobsters #1 girl in the pageant. A real thin plot, terrible fight scenes and 90 mins I wasted watching it that I would like back.
(Don't bother!) - review by Colin
What a top flick, with all these names in the film I thought it probably got the oscar by default but it is a very interesting and engaging film. I think Mark Wahlberg is the highlight of this film, I couldn't stop laughing at his character. Many twists and turns in this one, highly recommended.

One of Jackie Chan's best films, this has it all and his opponents in this one have some real talent which gives you some good fight scenes.

Tony Jaa is a martial arts actor to keep your eye out for, this film highlights his exceptional skills and should be watched by any fans of this genre. I don't like reading subtitles but this film is so good I hardly noticed I was reading them.

A futuristic thriller with a few unexpected twists where you will have to wait until the end before you know all the answers. Good special effects and unusual story line and worth a look.

I got some good laughs out of this one but somewhere along the line it decided to try and actually take itself seriously. Not a bad aussie film with some twists and turns.
(Worth watching) - review by Colin
The film is a bit confusing and not because of the expected time travel paradox's. I thought the synopsis was a little misleading and expected some obvious time travel scenes but it really doesn't pan out that way. If like me you watch it because of Jackie Chan and time travel you may be a little disappointed.

This is a strange and unusual film but worth watching if you want something different. You will go through a variety of emotions when you watch this one, it is not what you would expect from a Bill Murray film.

Dolph is looking rather aged and looks a lot thinner but he still manages to kick some heads. Ok for a look if you know that you are in for a no brainer, revenge, any excuse for some action flick.

This movie has nothing on the 1st one. I love time travel type movies and was so looking forward to this after having seen the 1st one but was rather disapointed at the weak storyline and inconsistencies in this one that could have easily been carried over from the 1st one.
An example being when he comes back to the present after fooling around in the past he walks around like a zombie having no idea why things are going on, at least in the original the changed memories flooded through his head and subsequently caused the nose bleeds.

This film is very typical of Seagal's long line of B grade movies but this one is even worse due to the frequent scenes that actually over-dub Seagal's and other actors dialogue with poorly imitated impressions of their voices. Someone obviously decided that the dialogue needed to be changed for certain scenes and didn't bother getting the original actors to do the work. This is a disgrace, don't bother.
