Marky mark had found a great screenplay from Icelandic and dutch sources and given it a great new look around the Panama Canal.... gritty and violent but necessary for the story

its a little story... not all stories are grand-in a Dickensian style of what little choices women had in that era bloody great actually!

....i thought this was a thoughtful study on the human condition called life. Eddy stayed true to his core belief systems while the world around him did not run the way he wanted.
We think we have control but we dont.
the moral -gee dur be true to yourself its all you really have the rest is illusion. And in the end the husband and wife were there for each other its all you can really need isnt it?
