Downfall – the acting is impeccable in this well-crafted account of Hitler’s last days in his bunker. It is a revealing character study of one of the most infamous, intriguing and disturbing figures in history, at the time of his demise. I recommend this amazing film for both history buffs and movie fans alike.

Maybe not quite as funny as I was hoping (I'd heard it was a comedy classic and the best of Chris Farley's movie career), but it has some great comedic moments. The soundtrack is largely unsuited to the film, which I found distracting. I'm interested in Farley's work and am glad I saw this film, his childlike essence really shines through.

I really enjoyed this! If you are a fan of 'Spaced', you'll recognise a similar type of slick yet awkward humour, and loads of pop culture references. Very funny, clever and geeky in the right way.

Good, entertaining film. I watched this after just finishing the book, and was only a little disappointed that the main character 'Julie' was not very similar to the gutsy, dark-humoured Julie of the book. That being said, I can understand why the character was toned down and it works well in the movie. Meryl Streep is a delight as always. You may want to watch Julia Child clips on YouTube after seeing the film, just to see how well Streep did in recreating Julia.

The whole program is stilted and dated. I guess the dated nature is kind of funny, but the actual stand-up is pretty lacklustre. Dennis Leary was a stand-out but it is old material I have heard before. I am a big comedy fan, but I would give this one a miss.

Despite being a huge 'Black Books' and Moran fan, I felt so disappointed in this story I didn't even finish it. The film wasn't very funny, not even in a twisted, dark way (which I love), and the story so ludicrous it just became silly.

It has it's funny moments, but as a fan of her twisted standup I was a little disappointed with the show. Worth a look if you're a big fan, otherwise give it a miss.

After adoring 'Ghost World' I was let down by Zwigoff's attempt with this film. It had some very funny and strong moments, but it was unclear what the film was trying to achieve in total. This is a mediocre affair, quite disappointing.

I liked this film because it was something I'd never seen before. I have to wonder only about the soundtrack (very flowery orchestral score), but the more I think about it, I'm starting to believe it may be intentionally attempting to accentuate the fantastical element of the story. The approach to the filming is unique and playing of 1970s constant use of zoom. The characters are real and vulnerable and the story is great.

A good-quality flick, unique storyline - at turns both funny and sad.

I loved this movie - Hathaway was very believeable as a troubled young woman and her family relationships. The story revolved around raw, human frailities.

It feels like a good-quality telemovie - with consistant performances, interesting approach and believeable, good casting. There are quite a few familiar Australian faces in this film too.

Offbeat humour and a wonderful cast - one of my favorite comedy films.

I was a little disappointed (always comparing Stiller's efforts to 'Zoolander'), but all in all it is a funny, slightly offensive and entertaining romp. My boyfriend loved it.

At times quite dated / twee, it still remains an engaging and an important look at Australia's past. The acting is good and the story compelling.

This disc is a disc of bonus features for Human Remains disc 1 - it includes outtakes, behind the scenes of writing the series, extra footage and deleted scenes. If you like (or love!) the actual show, you will likely appreciate these extras.

A little gem of a film.

I'm not even much on a sci-fi / fantasy fan, but I love Firefly and Serenity. This is a fanatastic film, with great story, characters, direction and acting.

If you love Jack Black, you'll love this. His chaotic energy keeps the laughs coming. Good film!

This is funnier than I expected and keeps you watching. Fans of these comedy actors will be pleased enough.

What a cult classic; great eccentric characters and their bohemian adventures.

French and Saunders at their ceeky best, poking fun at the movies well all know. Costumes are fab, the humour spot on and eccentric - great fun, as usual!

Even for the fairly open-minded this film is quite offensive - make sure you have a strong constitution and like your comedy in your face!

A dark, layered and wonderful movie, very emotional. Emily Barclay's acting is particularly impressive.

This is a sweet movie about familial and romantic love. The acting is not one hundred percent, but the soul is still there and that is what carries the film forward. Most of the characters are interesting (though I'm not sure if it was the intention, but Maggie's son and daughter-in-law seem pretty unlikeable the whole way through). And Maggie's transformation is a joy.

A very funny dark comedy about the behind-the-scenes of a Hollywood family. Mostly autobiographical.

It had some funny moments, and was engaging enough to watch, but was also pretty predictable.
