  • What are Quickflix Membership requirements? Read +Close

    To take up a Quickflix subscription or purchase Premium Movies or TV content, you will need to become a Quickflix member. It's simple and easy!

     

    To be a Quickflix member, you must be an Australian resident, at least 18 years of age, have a valid credit card or PayPal account and also have a valid email address.

  • How do Free Trials work? Read +Close

    We offer new Quickflix members an opportunity to try one of our subscription packages without charge.

     

    The duration of a free trial may vary and will be shown on our website when you sign-up or on the special offer you have received. Terms & Conditions related to a specific promotional offer will be highlighted.

     

     

    A pre-authorisation request will be made against your nominated payment method, which puts a temporary hold on a small token amount of money, similar to when you rent a car or check into a hotel. This money is never transferred to Quickflix and is only held by the bank for a short period before being released back to the account. This ensures we are able to issue debit requests against your nominated payment method should you wish to continue your subscription with Quickflix beyond the free trial period.

     

     

    The first charge to your nominated payment method will be at the end of the free trial period and will be your first month's subscription payment. If you do not wish to continue with the service beyond your free trial, you can cancel at any time prior to your free trial ending, hassle free!

     

     

    Free trials are only available to new Quickflix members and are limited to one per household.

     

     

    If you have had a free trial in the past and would now like to take up a Quickflix subscription, you can do so by using your original email address and password to sign in. You will then be able to select a new subscription package under My Account.     Signing up is simple and easy!

     

    1.        Click HERE to view our current plans

    2.        Select the type of subscription you would like and click on “Start Free Trial”

    3.        Select the subscription package you want by clicking on “Start your 14 Day Free Trial”

    4.        Enter the information required and confirm that you are over 18 years of age and that you agree to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Click on Continue.

    5.        Enter further required information and Payment Information.

    6.        Confirm your details.

  • Once I'm a member, can I change my subscription? Read +Close

    Absolutely, you can change your Quickflix subscription package at any time in My Account

     

    If you wish to discuss which subscription would suit you best, our Member Care team are happy to help. They will be able to assist you in ensuring that you are getting the very best out of your subscription.

  • Does Quickflix have any relationship to Netflix? Read +Close

    Quickflix is an Australian owned company.

     

    While Quickflix offers a service that has been popularised by Netflix, we have no affiliation and are a separate entity.

  • How does the Quickflix DVD & Blu-ray service work? Read +Close

    Choose

     

    Once you have signed up for your free trial, simply browse our extensive DVD and Blu-ray library on the Quickflix website. To add a title to your queue, simply hover over the movie or TV show you wish to rent and select Add to Queue. Alternatively you can left click on your title of choice and Add to Queue that way; this will also provide more details about the DVD/Blu-ray.

     

    We reccomend adding at least 20 titles to your queue so that we can provide a continual supply of discs to you. You can see all the titles you have selected under My Queue. This section is a great way to manage and prioritise the titles in your queue!

     

    Receive

     

    As soon as you have added the titles to your queue that you would like to watch, we will send the first available disc out to you. Remember, the more you add the better!

     

    Each disc is sent separately in a special envelope that you can use to return it, with all postage pre-paid.

     

    Watch

     

    Once you have received your DVD or Blu-ray, watch them when it suits you and as often as you like. There are no due dates or late fees, so you can enjoy them in your own time and send them back when you're done.

     

    Return

     

    When you have finished watching you can post your DVD or Blu-ray back using the special pre-paid envelope. As soon as we receive one of your discs back, we'll send you out another from your queue as soon as possible!

     

    To get your next discs even sooner, you can pre-notify us of the return of your disc by marking it as Returned in My Queue.

     

  • How does Quickflix subscription streaming work? Read +Close

     

    Quickflix Streaming gives you the ability to stream hundreds of blockbuster movies and TV shows instantly through a large range of connected devices. 

     

    You can have up to five unique internet-connected devices registered to your account at any one time and three concurrent streams active at once. The whole family can enjoy the Quickflix service at the same time. No more fighting over the remote!

  • What is considered Premium Content? Read +Close

    Premium content includes selected movie titles as well as TV shows which are available to purchase separately from a Quickflix subscription. Prices are displayed on the title upon selection.

     

    Watch some of the biggest blockbuster movies as many times as you want in a 48 hour period, or purchase some of the best TV shows from HBO, BBC, ABC and more! 

  • What do you mean by "Premium Movies"? Read +Close

    We have some of the biggest and best new blockbuster movies available for the whole family to stream instantly!

     

    Premium movies are available to purchase separately to a subscription package and start from $3.99 . In order to play these titles you will need to enter your Quickflix PIN before confirming your purchase. Once purchased, you will have 7 days to start playing your movie and once you have pressed play, you can watch your chosen title as many times as you want within a 48 hour period.

     

    You can keep track of your purchases by viewing My Library, which is accessible in My Account once signed in to the Quickflix website.

  • What do you mean by "Premium TV"? Read +Close

    Premium TV gives Quickflix members the opportunity to purchase and own episodes or entire seasons of some of the best TV shows from HBO, ABC, BBC and more from $2.99 per episode. Prices will be displayed upon the selection of the title.

     

    Once you have purchased your Premium TV episode or season, you can watch it as many times as you want and for as long as you like as there is no expiration on this content.

     

    A valid Quickflix PIN will be needed to confirm your purchase. You can keep track of your purchases by viewing My Library, which is located in My Account.

  • What kind of content is available on the Quickflix streaming service? Read +Close

    Quickflix offers instant streaming of movies and hit TV shows to your internet-connected devices. We offer an affordable subscription streaming package as well as Premium Movies and TV shows.

     

    We cover a variety of different genres including Action, Comedy, Drama, Romance, Thriller, Horror and more, so there is something for everybody! Quickflix also has a large range of Family and Kids titles so you can keep your little ones entertained for hours!

    You will not be able to use the Quickflix service anywhere other than Australia as the content provided is region based.

    There are multiple ways in which new members can sign up to a free trial with Quickflix.

     

    On the Quickflix home page there is a banner that says "Start your 14 Day Free Trial Now!" which will take you to our Pricing & Plans page so that you can select the subscription package that you would like to trial.

     

    You can also go straight to our Pricing & Plans page to select the subscription package you would like to trial.

     

    Alternatively, you may receive a special offer from Quickflix or it's partners that you wish to redeem, if this is the case a link should be provided for you to sign up for your free trial.

  • What is included in my free trial? Read +Close

    It is important the you read the details of your free trial offfer carefully before choosing which plan you wish to trial.

     

    If you choose a DVD/Blu-ray & Streaming combo, included in the free trial will be your chosen amount of discs sent out to you by post plus as much subscription streaming as you can watch.  You can exchange the discs as many times as you like during the trial. Just finish watching, post the disc back in the 2 way envelope and your next disc will be sent.

     

    If you choose a DVD & Blu-ray package, included in the free trial will be your chosen amount of discs sent out to you by post. You can exchange the discs as many times as you like during the trial.   • I have just signed up, why can't I use the service? Read +Close

    If you find that you have been unable to use your service straight after signing up, it is likely that your account is currently in a "pending" state. We reccomend adding some DVD or Blu-ray titles to your queue if this is the case.

     

    If you are unable to use your service within 24 hours, please contact Member Care for assistance.

  • Which subscription plan should I choose? Read +Close

    Quickflix offers home delivered DVD & Blu-ray rentals and instant streaming of movies and hit TV shows to your internet-connected devices. The best part about our plans is if you're a new Quickflix member you get to try one out to see if it's best for you!

     

    Subscription packages that include DVD & Blu-ray rentals are a great way for you to enjoy putting on a DVD or Blu-ray with the convenience of your chosen titles being delivered to you!  You will have access to a large range of movies and TV shows to watch from our large DVD & Blu-ray catalogue and you will also have the option of receiving up to 3 discs at a time. There are no late-fees so you can watch it whenever you like, as many times as you like.

     

    If you have a stable internet connection with a minimum speed requirement of 1.5mbps, why not try Quickflix streaming? With a growing library of content including blockbuster movies, hit tv shows and special interest titles and a large amount of devices that are making it simple and easy for you to access the Quickflix service, we are continuing to add value for our members.

     

    Of course, there is the option of choosing one of our DVD & Blu-ray combo packages, giving you the best of both worlds!

     

  • How do I know that I have signed up successfully? Read +Close

    Once you have completed signing up to your chosen subscription, a notification will pop up to confirm all of your details as well as your first bill date. As an added measure, we will also send a welcome email which includes some handy tips on how to get the very best of out your Quickflix service.

  • Why do Quickflix need my payment details? Read +Close

    The reason we ask for your credit card or PayPal details is to make sure that you are over 18 years or age, as your subscription will give you access to content that has been classified as restricted.

     

    The credit card or PayPal account that you provide us with will only be used once your monthly subscription begins - which is at the end of your free trial period. Rest assured, if you cancel your subscription at any point during your free trial, you will not be charged.

     

    It will also be used if you choose purchase Premium movies or TV shows by selecting a Premium title and confirming your Quickflix PIN.

     

     

  • What is a Quickflix PIN? Read +Close

    A Quickflix PIN is a 4-digit Personal Identification Number. By setting up a Quickflix PIN, any future purchases such as Premium content can be made quickly, easily and securely by entering your 4-digit PIN rather than having to enter your payment details each time.

  • Is there a pay-as-you-go option? Read +Close

     

    Once you have become a Quickflix member, you will be able to purchase Premium content separately by simply logging in to your Quickflix account. You will not need an active subscription to do this, just an active payment method and Quickflix PIN.

     

  • Can I add a Gift Card to my existing Quickflix subscription? Read +Close

     

    Quickflix Gift Cards cannot be added to an existing subscription. If you do have an existing Quickflix account and don't want your gift card to go to waste, they make great gifts for friends and family!

  • What do I do if the Quickflix website does not accept my Gift Card/Special Promotion code. Read +Close

    Once you have used your special code from your gift card or promotional offer, it will not be valid to used again.

Each title will have a +DVD or +Blu-ray button either below it or when you hover your mouse over the cover. Once selected, this will add the title to the top of your queue. To view your queue, click on the My Queue tab on our website.

     

    Quick Tips:

  • How long does it take to receive my DVDs in the Post? Read +Close

    Quickflix uses Australia Post to send and return DVD and Blu-rays. We use a priority mail service so that you will not have to wait too long to watch your chosen disc/s.

     

    Please allow 1-3 working days for delivery in metropolitan areas and up to 4 working days for rural and interstate deliveries.

    Please Note: Delivery to remote areas may take longer.

     

    Quick Tip: To get your next discs even sooner, you can pre-notify us of the return of your disc via selecting Returned in the My Queue section of the website.

  • How many DVDs should I have in My Queue? Read +Close

    If you are a new Member you will need to add DVDs or Blu-rays to your Queue before we can start sending discs out to you. 

     

    So we always have great entertainment to send you, we recommend having at least 20 titles in your queue.  

     

     

    Quick Tip:

     

    If you're looking for ideas for something to watch, try My Recommendations. Once you start watching and rating movies and TV shows on the website we'll start to understand your tastes and can recommend you other things that we think you will like.

  • In what order will I receive the DVDs in My Queue? Read +Close

     

    We will always do our best to send you DVD or Blu-ray choices from your top 10.

     

    Our dispatch process works in two stages. The higher the title is prioritised in your queue, the higher you are in our list of members waiting to receive that particular title. We will then look at the amount of times you have had the title at the same position in your queue.

     

    Example:  If 10 members have the movie "The Godfather" prioritised as #1 in their queue, the member who has had that title as #1 for the longest period of time will receive it first.

     

    You can prioritise titles within your queue in two different ways.

     

    1.      Click the up and down arrows for the title you would like to move until it reaches the position you would like

     

    2.      Click on the hand symbol to drag and drop the titles where you would like them positioned.

     

    3.      Change the ranking number on the right hand side of the title within your queue for the desired ranking

     

    On the My Queue page we will give you an indication of the likely wait time for a particular title based on the number of copies we have available and the number of members that have it in their queue.

     

    Quick Picks

     

    We have plenty of copies of these titles and/or the demand is low. If you place it at the top of your Queue you will likely receive it next.

     

    High Demand

     

    Although we have plenty of copies of these titles, we also have a lot of members who have requested them. These titles may take a little longer before being sent.

     

    Long Wait

     

    We have limited copies of these titles and demand is high, so it may take a while before you receive one.

     

    Coming Soon

     

    These titles aren’t yet available on Quickflix but you will be able to add them to your Reserved Queue. As soon as they are available, they will automatically transfer over from your Reserved Queue to your main Queue.

     

  • What is the Reserved Queue? Read +Close

     

    This is where we save your requests for DVDs or Blu-rays that have yet to be released or where we have temporarily run out of stock. Once a DVD or Blu-ray in your Reserve Queue becomes available it will move from the Reserve Queue to the bottom of your main Queue, ready for you to prioritise accordingly.

  • How does Quickflix Recommendations work? Read +Close

     

    Quickflix can help you find great movies and TV shows that are suited to your tastes by using our recommendations engine.

     

    By giving star ratings to the movies and TV shows you have seen, whether via Quickflix or elsewhere, we will get to know what you enjoy viewing. The more you rate and review, the better our recommendations will be. Your ratings also help us greatly in recommending titles to other members.

     

    To further improve the recommendations we provide, you can adjust your Recommendations Settings here.

     

    Once signed-in you can rate titles via locating them on our site by clicking on the star rating of your choice. You can also review your Quickflix history and add ratings under My Account.

     

    If you wish to add a written review to share, please take care to not include any comments that could be considered inappropriate or discriminatory.

  • I've lost my envelope, how do I return my DVD? Read +Close

    If you've lost the replied paid envelope please place the disc in its protective sleeve and return in a blank envelope using the following replied paid address; Quickflix, Reply Paid 9904, In your capital city. This will reduce any delays in us sending a replied paid envelope to you.

  • Subtitles and Hearing Impaired Titles Read +Close

     

    Quickflix has a large range of DVDs and Blu-rays suited for the hearing impaired.  To navigate to these titles, please follow the steps below

     

    1.      Head to Quickflix homepage

     

    2.      Hover your mouse over Movies

     

    3.      Hover your mouse over Format

     

    4.      Click on Hearing Impaired

     

    We are always aiming to secure more titles suited for the Hearing Impaired and will update our catalogue accordingly.

    We will let you know that another disc is on it's way via an email notification You can also see what title has been sent out to you under "Discs sent to me" within the My Queue section

    Upon the return of your discs, you will receive an email that confirms that we have received it and which title we are sending you next.

  • What is the difference between DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD Read +Close

     

    DVD – A type of compact disc able to store large amounts of data, especially high-resolution audio-visual material.

     

    HD DVD – HD DVD is a discontinued high-density optical disc format for storing data and high-definition video.

     

    Blu-Ray - A format of DVD designed for the storage of high-definition video and data

  • What happens if I haven't had time to top up my queue? Read +Close

     

    We provide the option of Queue Top-up. When Queue-Top-up is activated, it uses our Recommendations technology which takes into account your rental history, ratings, favourite movies and favourite actors/directors to add titles to your queue automatically.

     

    To access this feature please follow the below steps

     

    1.        Log in to your account on the Quickflix website

    2.        Click on My Account

    3.        Click on Queue Settings

    4.        Select the Queue Top-up tab

    5.        Select Yes next to Activate queue top up

  • How does Quickflix choose which title is sent to me? Read +Close

     

    Our DVD & Blu-ray allocation process works on availability of the title and also preference within your queue. We will always attempt to send you a DVD or Blu-ray disc from the top of your queue however if it is not available at the time that you have rental space, we will continue to search for a title on your list until one is available.

  • How do I prioritise titles in my queue? Read +Close

     

    Once you have selected a title for your queue, you can move them up and down in your queue order by pressing the appropriate arrow. 

     

    You can also delete titles off your queue by selecting the title, clicking the trash can icon and clicking Update

  • What should I do if the disc I receive is not playing? Read +Close

     

    We do our best to ensure that all discs we send out are clean and damage free. If you have received a disc that is damaged or faulty, please report it to us by doing the following

     

    1.        Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website

    2.        Click on My Queue

    3.        Under Discs sent to me, select Report a Problem next to the disc that is damaged or unplayable.

    4.        Select the appropriate Issue Type under the list provided

    5.        If you wish to receive a replacement, tick the box that says Send me the same title again

    6.        Submit

  • How do I access my rental history? Read +Close

     

    To access your Rental History, please follow the below steps;

     

    1.       Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website

    2.       Hover your mouse over My Queue

    3.       Under My Queue Details click on Rental History

  • How do I rate and review a title? Read +Close

     

    You can review a title you have watched on your Quickflix service by doing the following

     

    1.        Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website

    2.        Click on My Account

    3.        Click on Ratings & Reviews

    4.        Find the title you wish to rate and review and click on the amount of stars you would like to rate it

    5.        If you wish to write a review on the title, click on Write review

    6.        Write your review on the title and Save

     

    Please Note: All reviews will be pending approval, please ensure that they do not contain defamatory or course language.

  • Can I change my ratings and reviews? Read +Close

     

    If you wish to change the rating and write a new review for movie or TV shows that you have watched, you can do so in the Ratings & Reviews section under My Account on the Quickflix website. 

  • How do I remove a title from my queue? Read +Close

     

    Under My Queue click on the trash can icon next to the title you wish to remove and select Update. This will remove the disc from your queue.

  • I have returned a disc but it is still in My Outstanding Discs, why? Read +Close

    Quick Tip: To get your next discs even sooner, you can pre-notify us of the return of your disc via selecting Mark as Returned in the My Queue section of our website.

    R 18+ is a legally restricted classification
    The content is high in impact. R 18+ films are not suitable for people aged under 18. People aged under 18 cannot purchase or rent an R 18+ film.

  • When do I have to return my DVD or Blu-ray? Read +Close

     

    You can hold on to your DVD or Blu-Ray discs as long as you like as while you’re an active Quickflix Member, there are no late fees! We recommend you return the discs as soon as you have finished with them so that we can continue to send you titles from your queue.

     

    If you cancel your Quickflix subscription, we will require you to return any outstanding discs within a 7 day period. Once the 7 days has passed we may charge a fee of $29.99 for outstanding DVD/s and $39.99 for outstanding Blu-Ray titles, as well as a $10 admin fee.

     

    Please contact our Member Care team if you are having issues returning your disc so that we can discuss alternative arrangements with you.

  • Will I need to pay to send DVD & Blu-ray discs back? Read +Close

    Not at all! We send discs out to you in customised 2 way disc mailer which is reply paid.  Just make sure you rip off your "To address:" panel.  Then place the disc in its sleeve and back in the mailer and pop it in the post. Easy!

  • How do I request a replacement disc? Read +Close

    If you require a replacement disc, please follow the below steps.

     

    1. Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website
    2. Click on My Queue
    3. Under Discs sent to me, select Report a Problem beside the disc that you require replacemen
    4. Select Issue Type
    5. Check the Send me the same title again box
    6. Submit
  • Will requesting a replacement disc affect my disc allowance? Read +Close

    Any disc that requires a replacement will not count toward your monthly allowance.

  • How can I notify Quickflix that I have returned a DVD or Blu-ray? Read +Close

    Pre-notifying us of your returning disc is a great way of receiving more titles from your queue quicker. You can pre-notify us by following the below steps.

     

    1. Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website
    2. Click on My Queue
    3. Under Mark as Returned, check Returned on the title you wish to pre-notify

     

    Please Note: Once you have pre-notified the amount of discs that you can have out at any given time, you must wait for Quickflix to receive these discs before you will be able to pre-notify any further titles that have been sent out to you. It is always best to mark your discs as returned as soon as you have put them in the post to be sent to us.

  • Why have I been sent the same title on multiple occasions? Read +Close

    If you have not requested a particular title more than once but have received it on multiple occasions, we recommend double checking your Quickflix envelope before returning the disc and making sure that the strip on the front containing your name and address is torn completely off. If it is not torn off, there is a chance that the disc may be sent back to you through the post before getting back to us.

     

    If you have confirmed that you have done the above and you are still receiving the same disc on multiple occasions, please contact our Member Care team to investigate.

  • How does Quickflix Streaming work? Read +Close

     

    Quickflix Streaming gives you the ability to stream hundreds of blockbuster movies and TV shows instantly through a large range of connected devices. We have some of the best titles from all of the major studios. You can take a look at what we have on offer here

     

    We are available on a large range of connected devices and you can have up to five registered devices on your Quickflix account and stream on three of those devices at the same time, which means no more fighting over the remote! In order to stream the content from our extensive catalogue, you will need a stable internet connection with a minimum speed requirement of 1.5mbps. We reccomend speaking to your ISP (Internet Service Provider) fore more information on your data allowance.

  • What are the file sizes of a Movie or TV show? Read +Close

    The total size of a movie or TV show varies from title to title, largely depending on the length of the movie or episode. As a guide, a 90 minute movie will require approximately 1GB (Gigabyte) of data transfer if you watch it from beginning to end whereas a half hour TV episode will require approximately 0.35GB or 350MB (Megabytes). The file size for each movie or TV show is displayed alongside the synopsis.

     

    If you are concerened with your data usage limit we suggest you consult with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to determine your data allowance and whether it is appropriate the use the Quickflix Streaming service.

  • What is the picture quality like on Quickflix streaming? Read +Close

    Picture quality will vary between different playback devices (due to specifications) and is also dependent upon the quality of the internet connection that the service us being streamed on. Another factor is how many people are using your internet connection at any given time. These factors are the most significant influences on picture quality.

     

    On most devices under normal conditions, the picture quality on Quickflix content is as good as free to air TV (in Standard Definition or High Definition). On many of our supported devices, the picture quality will subtly vary to accomodate changes in the performance of your internet service - so that you can have an uninterruped viewing experience.

    No. Quickflix Streaming allows you to stream as many of the movies or TV Shows included in your subscription as you like and as often as you like.

    The audio quality is designed to match the capabilities of the device/s that you are streaming the Quickflix service on. As a minimum this is two-channel stereo with 192 kilobit/s audio. Higher standards are supported also.

    No. Quickflix Streaming is an online based service, so your viewing device has to be connected to the Internet in order to stream and watch content.

  • Is data usage included with Quickflix Streaming? Read +Close

    Charges for data usage by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) are not included or covered by Quickflix. We suggest speaking with your ISP if you have any concerns about your data usage.

    If content with subtitles is provided to us from the studios, we will certainly make these available for our members. Our future plans involve providing as much content with subtitles as possible, on as many devices as we can.

  • How can I stop my children viewing inappropriate content? Read +Close

    As a Quickflix member, it is important that you control and monitor who has access to your account to avoid any fraudulent use on your account. You are responsibile for preventing access by minors to inappropriate content, which is part of the Quickflix Terms & Conditions.

     

     

    In order to assist you with this and as an additional security precaution, Quickflix provides a Parental Control function that limits access to certain classifications of content based on provision of an additional Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is separate to your Quickflix Account Password.

     

    You can manage your Parental Control settings through the Quickflix website. Any restrictions you place on accessing content will be applied across all platforms that Quickflix is available on with the exception of Sony Bravia devices, which have their own control functionality (further details can be found under the Sony Bravia FAQ's)

    Restart your device

     

    Sometimes it takes a simple fix to resolve the issue, and restarting your device may resolve the problem. We recommend restarting your device every so often for good measure. It may even be a good idea to restart your modem/router just in case!

     

    Check other streaming platforms

     

    A great way to check if the issue may be to do with your internet connection is to check another streaming platform like YouTube and see if your streaming problems persist. If so, we recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider, as they may be able to assist with any speed or network issues.

     

    Test another device

     

    Another way that you can help isolate the streaming issue is to test another device. We have a list of devices available for the Quickflix service here and rrecommend either testing a subscription streaming movie/tv show or trying another streaming platform such as YouTube to test whether or not your streaming issue is to do with your specific device.

    In general, movies are released to a "Home Entertainment" window approximately 120 days after initial cinema release. This window comprises of DVD & Blu-ray discs for rent or purchase and digital streaming for operators such as Quickflix.

Account Management

    Quickflix does not limit the amount of streaming you can do within your subscription package. You can also purchase as much Premium movies or TV shows as you like as long as you have active payment details and a Quickflix PIN.

     

    Please Note: Internet data limitations will need to be discussed with your Internet Service Provider.

    If you wish to change to a different subscription package that is available to you, please follow the below steps

     

    1.        Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website with your Email address and password

    2.        Click on My Account

    3.        Click on My Subscription

    4.        Select the subscription package you wish to move on to and press Select

  • Why is my Membership on hold? Read +Close

     

    If for some reason we are unable to bill you, your Membership will automatically be placed on hold; if you have Quickflix DVD & Blu-ray included in your subscription no further discs will be sent to you and if you have Quickflix Streaming in your subscription you will no longer be able to stream movies or TV shows. When you are placed on hold, we will contact you via email advising you that you need to take action.

     

    While you are on hold your Membership will still accrue standard monthly charges. These charges will be included in your first payment after you come off hold.

     

    Please note that if you take no action on your account to resolve the issue once we have notified you, you will remain on hold for 60 days and then we will cancel your Membership. If you have Quickflix DVD & Blu-Ray as part of your subscription, we allow 7 days after cancellation of your subscription to return any DVDs or Blu-rays that you have out. Quickflix reverses the right after this time to charge a replacement fee of $39.95 for each outstanding DVD and $49.95 for each outstanding Blu-ray Disc.

  • How do I update my payment details? Read +Close

    You can control access to streaming content based on its classification by using Parental Controls. Tick the boxes on the Parental Control page if you wish to control access to any particular ratings and then click on the Save Changes button to set-up or reconfirm your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Once the Parental Controls have been activated you will be required to enter your PIN to stream any content with a rating that you have chosen to restrict.

    1.        Sign in to your account on the Quickflix website with your Email address and password

    2.        Click on My Account

    3.        Click on Contact Preferences

    4.        Select which Quickflix emails you wish to receive or unsubscribe to by ticking or un-ticking the boxes

  • Am I under contract when subscribing to a Quickflix service? Read +Close

    Quickflix does not lock members in to a contract. You can cancel and reactivate your subscription at any time!

  • Can I reactivate my subscription at any stage or will I need to create a new account? Read +Close

     

    You can reactive your subscription anytime, there is no need to create a new account if you already have one set up. Please follow the below steps if you wish to reactivate your Quickflix subscription

Payments & Billing

  • How is my subscription fee taken each month? Read +Close

    We ask that you set up an automatic payment method to pay your monthly subscription with Quickflix. You can do this through PayPal or Credit card. Once you have set up your automatic payment method, we deduct your invoice amount from your automatic payment method on each billng date.

  • When is my first subscription payment due? Read +Close

    If you have taken up a Quickflix subscription with a free trial period, your first subscription payment will be charged at the end of the free trial period. If you did not sign-up to a subscription with a free trial period, you will be charged as soon as you complete your registration details. 

     

    Subsequent payments are then due every month.  Your bank statement will show our merchant trading name - Quickflix.com.au - and the monthly charge.

  • How often does Quickflix deduct my subscription fee? Read +Close

     

    Subscription Fees are paid in advance of each Subscription Period. Your first Subscription Period starts when you register with Quickflix. If you are eligible for a free trial, then your Subscription Period starts after your free trial has ended

    We accept payment via credit card and PayPal. Your payment method can be changed anytime through the My Account section of the website.We accept payment via credit card and PayPal.

  • What payment security does Quickflix use? Read +Close

    Quickflix uses first class encryption software (known as 128 bit SSL technology) to encrypt your payment details.  Your payment details are stored on independent payment gateway secure servers. Quickflix does not store or have access to credit card details or paypal acounts. 

  • What is the Quickflix PIN used for? Read +Close

    By setting-up a Quickflix PIN any future purchases, such as Premium movies and Premium TV shows can be made quickly, easily and securely by just adding your 4-digit PIN rather than having to enter your entire payment details again.

  • What do I do if I have forgotten my Quickflix PIN? Read +Close

    If you have forgotten your Quickflix PIN we will need you to re-enter your Payment Details for security reasons after which you will be prompted to set-up a new Quickflix PIN. You can do this at anytime under the Payment Details section of My Account.

  • Can I change my Quickflix PIN and Payment details? Read +Close

    Yes, you can change your Quickflix PIN and Payment details at anytime under the Payment Details section of My Account

     

     To change your Quickflix PIN, simply select the Quickflix PIN tab and enter the requested information.

  • I think I have been incorrectly charged, what do I do? Read +Close

    You may view your transaction history under the My Account section of the website by clicking on the Payment Details link. If you are still concerned that you have been incorrectly charged, you may either email or call the Member Care team.

  • How can I take advantage of a Subscription Holiday? Read +Close

    We don’t want you to pay when you’re not using our service, so we allow our Members to have a subscription payment holiday of up to 3 months within a 12 month period. 

     

    A subscription payment holiday is only available on subscriptions that include DVD and Blu-ray and it is not available if you are on a free trial. You will be able to suspend your services for up to 1 month at any given time.

     

    To take a subscription holiday please follow the below steps

     

    1.        Log in to the Quickflix website with your Email address and password

    2.        Click on My Account

    3.        Click on My Subscription

    4.        Scroll down to Pause My Subscription and click Edit.  This option will only appear on subscriptions that include DVD and Blu-ray and it is not available if you are on a free trial..  

    5.        Select the amount of time you wish to pause your subscription and click Pause

     

    Please Note: Your subscription will continue to be billed whilst you have Quickflix discs out, so if you’re intending on taking a subscription holiday make sure you send back all discs before your next bill date.

     

    If you start a subscription holiday mid-month, your next billed month will be adjusted for the days paid for in the previous month that have not been used.

     

     

  • How do I cancel my subscription? Read +Close

    If you are currently on a Free Trial and wish to cancel before your first subscription payment is due you can do so through our website. Please sign-in to Quickflix and refer to the My Account section of the website. Under the My Subscription section you will be able to cancel your Free Trial.

     

    If you are already a paying subscriber you will need to call our Member Care Team to cancel your subscription. Your monthly subscription charge will not be refunded of part refunded if you choose to cancel part way through a billing period.

     

    Please note, if you have Quickflix DVD & Blu-ray as part of your subscription, we allow 7 days after cancellation of your subscription to return any DVDs or Blu-rays that you have out. Quickflix reverses the right after this time to charge a replacement fee of $29.99 for each outstanding DVD and $39.99 plus a $10 administration fee for each outstanding Blu-ray Disc.

     

    If you cancel your subscription, you can still sign-in to the website at any time to rent Premium movies or purchase Premium TV titles with no commitments or to reactivate your subscription again under My Account.

  • If I stream a movie will it count against my broadband allowance? Read +Close

    Yes. You will use up some of your broadband allowance when you stream a movie or TV episode. Your broadband allowance is simply a limit on the amount of data that can be transferred over your broadband connection. Any internet use counts towards your total broadband usage. If you are near your limit, you should check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) how much of your allowance is remaining before watching a movie.

     

    The total size of a movie varies from title to title, largely depending on the length of the movie. As a guide, a 90 minute movie will require approximatley 1GB of data transfer if you watch it from beginning to end and a half hour TV episode will require approximately 0.35GB. The file size for each movie and TV show is displayed alongside the synopsis. If you are concerned with your data usage limit we suggest you consult your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to determine your data allowance, and whether it is appropriate for the Quickflix service.

     

    Also, please be aware mobile broadband services have fluctuating performance that may affect the quality of your playback.

  • What does it mean when it says my account is on hold? Read +Close

     

    If for some reason we are unable to bill you, your Membership will automatically be placed on hold.

     

    If you have Quickflix DVD & Blu-ray included in your subscription package, no further discs will be sent to you. You will also not be able to use the Quickflix streaming service during this hold period. When you are placed on hold, we will contact you via email advising you of the action needed to be taken to remove the hold status.

     

    While you’re on hold, your membership will accrue standard monthly charges. These charges will be included in your first payment after the hold status has been removed.

  • How long does my account stay on hold for? Read +Close

     

    If no action is taken to resolve the issue that has placed your account on hold, we will cancel your membership after 60 days. If you have Quickflix DVD & Blu-ray as part of your subscription package, we allow 7 days after cancellation of your subscription to return any DVDs or Blu-rays that you have out. Quickflix reserves the right after this 7 day period to charge a replacement fee of $29.99 for each outstanding DVD and $39.99 for each outstanding Blu-ray Disc and an admin fee of $10 may apply.

Troubleshooting

  • How do I get the best Quickflix Streaming performance? Read +Close

    To get the most out of Quickflix Streaming you will need a minimum Internet connection speed of 1.5Mbps. To view high definition movies on Sony Bravia devices you will need a service that operates at a speed of at least 3.5Mbps.

     

    The number of devices you have connected to your Internet connection may also affect the speed of your broadband service. For optimal streaming performance please make sure you have closed any other Interent connected devices or applications that may be using up bandwdith. The quality of your broadband service may also vary at different times of the day which is Internet service provider dependent.

     

    Note: If you are on a public Wi-Fi connection you may be prevented from streaming video content if the Wi-Fi connection has a firewall in place.

  • When I try to stream a movie or TV Show nothing happens? Read +Close

    Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, you may need to allow a few minutes for your movie to buffer before the title starts to play. Buffering is when your device is loading enough of the stream in advance so that you can enjoy continuous uninterrupted playback thereafter.

     

    If nothing happens after a few minutes attempt to play the title again or select another title. If this does not work, please check your Internet connection is working by testing another Internet connected device (e.g. try looking at another website on your computer). We also suggest that you check other household members are not attempting to download large files which may affect the performance of your Internet service.

     

     
    If your Internet connection appears to be working fine and you are still not able to play a movie please contact our Member Care team.
  • When I play a movie or TV Show I can’t hear any sound? Read +Close

     

    Check that the audio and picture settings on your device are set correctly by trying to play some other video or audio content, then try to play the Quickflix title again. If you still do not have sound, try playing a different Quickflix title.
     
    If the problem persists, exit the Quickflix service and Sign-In again. Attempt to play the titles again.

  • My movie or TV Show started streaming but has frozen and won’t restart? Read +Close

    First, check your internet connection is still working by testing another Internet connected device (e.g. try looking at another website from your computer).  We also suggest that you check other household members are not attempting to download large files which may affect the performance of your Internet service. Then, exit the Quickflix service and Sign-In again. Attempt to play the titles again.

  • I am unable to stream HD movies on Sony Bravia: Read +Close

     

    To watch High Definition content you will need a minimum connection speed of 3.5Mbps. The quality of your broadband service may vary at different times of day which is dependent on your Internet service provider. For the best Quickflix viewing experience, we suggest that you limit the number of other devices using your Internet connection.

  • Registering and de-registering devices: Read +Close

    If you have a Quickflix Streaming subscription you can stream movies & TV Shows on up to 6 different devices (PCs, Macs, Connected TVs, Tablet & Mobile devices) and on up to 3 devices simultaneously. 

     

    Each new device will automatically be registered to your Quickflix account when you first stream a movie or TV show from it. If you have reached your limit of 5 unique devices, you will need to deregister an existing device before you can register another device. To manage your device registrations head to the My Account section of the Quickflix website and select Manage My Devices.

    A unique device may be registered and deregistered at will. If a device has been registered to two different Quickflix accounts within the previous 12 months, it cannot be registered to another account. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information.

    For Sony Bravia devices you will also need to de-register your device with Sony on the Sony website: https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/login.action

    Please note that deregistering a device does not cancel your subscription; to cancel your subscription please call our Member Care Team.

  • How do I troubleshoot Network Connection issues? Read +Close

    One of the most common causes of problems while trying to watch Quickflix is weak or intermittent Internet connectivity. Frequent rebuffering or loading, problems starting the Quickflix application, error messages stating "Cannot Connect to Quickflix" or trouble streaming a movie or TV on your device generally indicates a slow or interrupted Internet Connection.

     

    Below are some great steps to troubleshoot these issues. If you're still having internet connectivity issues please speak to your Internet Service Provider for further testing.

     

    Restarting your Home Network

     

    1. Turn off the device you are attempting to stream on.

    2. Unplug your modem/router for no less than 30 seconds

    3. Plug in your modem/router and wait until all of the lights are solid

    4. Turn your streaming device back on and attempt to play Quickflix movies and TV shows.

     

    Connect your device directly to your Modem

     

    If your device has ethernet capabilities, we recommend doing the following

     

    1. Turn off the device you are attempting to stream on

    2. Plug your device directly in to your modem using an ethernet cable

    3. Unplug your modem from power for at least 30 seconds, then plug it back in and wait until all lights are solid

    4. Turn on your device and attempt to stream again

     

  • How can I connect Quickflix to my Facebook account? Read +Close

    You can connect your Facebook and Quickflix accounts in a number of ways:

     

    1. When you sign-in to your Quickflix account you can select the Facebook button:
      • The first time you do this you will be prompted with a pop-up box to sign-in to your Facebook account and then you will be prompted to sign-in to your Quickflix account which will then link the two accounts.
      • The next time you visit the Quickflix site, you can just sign-in using your Facebook details or if you already have Facebook open in your browser you will automatically be signed-in.
    2. If you are already signed-in to your Quickflix account, head to the My Account section of the website and click on the 'Manage Sharing' tab and follow the process outlined above.
    3. You can also share any page on the Quickflix website at any time by clicking on the share links and signing-in to your Facebook account.

     

    You can link your Quickflix account with your Twitter, Windows Live or Google+ accounts using the same methods outlined above.

  • Can I automatically share my Quickflix activity on my Facebook account? Read +Close

    Yes you can. Simply sign-in to your Quickflix account and go to the My Account section of the website. On the Manage Sharing tab you will have the option to connect your Quickflix account to your Facebook account and you can then choose whether you want to automatically post certain events and actions to your Facebook feed, such as when you order a DVD, stream a Movie or write a review.

    You can automate sharing your Quickflix activity on your Twitter, Windows Live or Google+ accounts using the same method outlined above.

    1. Plug your Chromecast into the HDMI port of your TV.
    2. Turn on the Wi-Fi of your iOS/Android smartphone, tablet, laptop. Set your TV to the same Wi-Fi network as your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
    3. Check that your TV is set to the same Wi-Fi network as your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
    4. Follow the Chromecast prompts that will appear on your TV
    5. Download our Quickflix app from your app store on your smart phone, tablet or laptop or go to the Chromecast website
    6. When you are within reach of Chromecast, our Quickflix app on our website will show a Cast icon, which is a little square on the righ thand top corner. Simply select the movie/TV show that you would like to watch, press the Cast icon to connect Chromecast and press play.
  • How do I turn off my Chromecast? Read +Close

    Turning your TV off will put the Chromecast in standby.

     

    If your TV is on, Chromecast remains in standby whenever changing the input on your TV. For example, if your Chromecast is on HDMI1 and you switch to HDMI2 or back to TV, your Chromecast will be in standby mode.

     

     

  • Does casting use my internet data? Read +Close

    Yes. Using the casting function acts the same way as streaming, so if you start casting a title it will user your internet data. Chromecast will use your wifi connection at home rather than your phone or tablet mobile data connection.

    To stream Quickflix movies or TV Shows on a PC or Mac you will need the following minimum operating hardware and software:

    PC          

    • Minimum operating system of Windows XP or newer such as Vista or Windows 7.
    • x86 or x64 gigahertz (GHz) or higher processer with 512MB RAM.
    • Microsoft Silverlight 5.0 or later.

    MAC

  • I am having problems using a Firefox Browser: Read +Close

    If you are using the Silverlight player with a Firefox browser for the first time you may experience some performance issues with trying to view movies in the full-screen mode.

    This is a known issue and we have developed a workaround to enable you to watch streaming titles full-screen from Firefox:

    1. Open an alternative browser such as Internet Explorer 8, Chrome or Safari & select a Quickflix Movie to stream.
    2. When the movie starts streaming in the alternative browser, select the full-screen mode.
    3. You should then see a Silverlight pop-up box asking you to confirm the full-screen settings; select “Yes” and tick “Remember my answer”.
    4. Return to using your Firefox browser and the Silverlight settings for full-screen mode should now be active.  We also recommend that you restart Firefox.

     

    Silverlight Player

  • Can I connect my PC or Mac to my TV to watch Quickflix movies or TV shows? Read +Close

    Yes you can. All you need is a suitable cable (we recommend HDMI as it will carry both video and audio) and then plug one end into your computer and the other end into your TV, select the HDMI input on your TV and you’re ready to go!

     

    If you don’t have an HDMI cable (or HDMI ports on both your computer and TV) you can use other cables but that means you will also need to connect up your audio separately.

Windows 8

  • What are the system requirements for streaming Quickflix? Read +Close

    A tablet, laptop or desktop that runs Windows 8 (32 / 64 bit) or Windows RT.

  • How do I access the Quickflix app through Windows 8? Read +Close

    Navigate to the Windows Store from the Metro screen.

     

    Search for Quickflix and install the free app.

     If you wish to Sign Out of the  Quickflix Windows 8 App you can do so at any point from the Settings menu.

     

    Your Windows 8 device will automatically be registered to your Quickflix account when you stream your first title.

Xbox 360

    No. Anyone can rent a Premium movie title or purchase Premium TV content. All you need to do is create a Quickflix account and provide payment details. When you have successfully created a Quickflix account, simply log in to the Quickflix app on your Xbox device to start watching movies instantly. Prices are as marked upon selection of the title.

  • Why is my Parental Control PIN not allowing me access to restricted content? Read +Close

    There are two Parental Control systems that co-exist on the Xbox.

     

    Xbox Family Settings

     

    If you use the Xbox Family Settings to control which movies and TV shows can be watched through Xbox LIVE, the Quickflix app will follow these settings. For example, if you prohibit watching of M-rated programs on your console, those programs will be marked with a "restricted video" icon in the Quickflix app. To play a locked item, an adult must enter the Family Settings pass code.

     

    Quickflix Parental Controls

     

    If you have activated the Quickflix Parental Control system via the Quickflix website, the Xbox app will require you to enter your Quickflix Parental Control PIN.

     

    If you have both systems activated you will be required to enter two PINs for restricted content. If your PINs are different for the Xbox and Quickflix systems, be sure to enter the correct PIN in the corresponding fields.

  • Do I need an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership to access Quickflix? Read +Close

    As of the 5th of June 2014, you will no longer need an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership to access Quickflix.

Xbox One

    There are two Parental Control systems that co-exist on the Xbox One.

     

    Xbox Family Settings

     

    If you use the Xbox Family settings to control which movies and TV shows can be watched through Xbox LIVE, the Quickflix app wll follow these settings. For Example, if you prohibit watching of M-rated programs on your console, those programs will be marked with a "restricted video" icon in the Quickflix app. To play a locked item, an adult must enter the Family Settings pass code.

     

    Quickflix Parental Controls

     

    If you have activated the Quickflix Parental Control system via the Quickflix website, the Xbox One app will require you to enter your Quickflix Parental Control Pin.

     

    If you have both systems activated you will be required to enter two PINs for restricted content. If your PINs are different for the Xbox and Quickflix systems, be sure to enter the correct PIN in the corresponding fields.

    No. Our obligations to the content owners with regards to copy protection prevents this functionality.

    This functionality is native to these Apple devices.   To resume the title once you have removed your headphones, tap the screen to present the player controls and press the play button.

  • My movie or TV Show started streaming but then froze, what should I do? Read +Close

    Check your internet connection is still active.  You can do this by opening a browser on your iPhone or iPad and attempt to access a different website.  If you are using WiFi, we also suggest that you check other household members are not attempting to download large files which may impact your service.

    If you are experiencing difficulties with the App, we suggest you undertake a hard reset of your iPhone or iPad.  To do this press and hold the power button until you see the Power Off option on the device screen.  If that doesn’t work, we recommend you follow the steps below:

    1. Close the app.

    2. Double-click the home button which should show the multi-tasking shelf.

    3. Locate the Quickflix app icon and hold your finger on it until the 'X' appears and close it.

    4. Close the multi-tasking shelf by double-clicking the home button again.

    5. Go to Settings and put the device into 'airplane mode'. Then retrun back to connected mode.

    6. Relaunch the app and try to stream again.

    Yes you can. You will firstly need to download the Quickflix app from the Nokia App store and then enable Kids Corner on your phone. To do this, go to Settings, System, Kids Corner and turn it on. You can then select the Quickflix app under Apps to enable Quickflix to appear in Kids Corner. Sony Bravia

  • How do I access Quickflix from my Sony Bravia TV, Blu-ray player or Blu-ray Home Theatre System? Read +Close

    To access Quickflix Streaming on Sony Bravia devices, you’ll need to register your device via Sony first:

    Step 1:

    Using your PC or MAC open a browser and head to http://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com

    Step 2:

    Create or Sign-In to your Sony Account.

    Step 3:

    From the Home tab, click 'Activate a Device' and follow the instructions to register your Sony device to your Sony Account. If you have already activated your device proceed to Step 4 below.

    Step 4:

    From the Home tab, click on the 'Manage Premium Services' link and then select Quickflix from the list of Premium services and click on the 'Enable Service' button.

    Step 5: 

    You will then be redirected to the Quickflix website; follow the instructions to either link your existing Quickflix Account to your Sony device or set-up a brand new Quickflix Account. This process will complete the registration of your Sony device and you will be able to start streaming Quickflix content on your device (subject to your subscription package including access to Quickflix Streaming).

    All content on the Quickflix service is rated in accordance with the government censorship ratings.

    As a Member it is important that you control who has access to your account to avoid any fraudulent use. It is also part of the Quickflix Terms and Conditions that you are responsible for preventing access by minors to inappropriate content.

    To control access to content on connected Sony Bravia devices with Quickflix, select the following item on the menu system of your Sony Bravia device:

    Menu > Settings > System Settings > Parental Lock

    Follow the prompt on screen to change the control settings. 

    As an additional security precaution, Quickflix provides a Parental Control function that limits access to certain classifications of content across all other platforms that Quickflix is available on. You may limit access on these platforms by creating a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is separate to your Quickflix account password.

    To manage your Parental Control settings head to the My Account section of the website and follow the instructions under the Parental Control section.

    You will need the Humax HDR-7500T Digital TV Recorder to access the Quickflix service.

     

    Ensure your Digital TV recorder is connected to the Internet and an audio visual cable is connected from the Digital TV Recorder to the TV.
