When a college Professor opens up a strange ornate box discovered in the basement of a University she and her students hear a horrifying scream belonging to a bloodthirsty banshee. They're relieved when it stops but that scream insidiously begins to haunt all that heard it in strange and surreal ways. At first dismissing the Irish folklore that if you hear a Banshee scream you will die they discover soon find the folklore is truer than they could have imagined as the starts taking their lives.

Must be feeling generous, not one of the best of the after darks, but not as bad as the stupid haunted house one. It had the ingredients for a good movie but some members of the cast are sleep walking through it.

Basic horror film, with the feel of a Hammer movie from the 60's.

I really enjoyed this. A banshee is unleased at a University and the ones who hear her have to figure out how to stop her before they fear gets to them. Decent acting and a novel premise of no screaming by the humans which hasnt been around since the Tingler. Just enough blood and gore to please the fans. Not as decent as Prowl or Husk with a strange open ending but def not far behind.

When will I learn - if it sounds like crap, it probably is crap. The only screaming you'll be doing is screaming with relief when the end credits finally roll. One star is kind, but I felt it deserved something because the acting wasn't entirely terrible.
