Wonderful movie but you have to like this genre.Great cast, great script.Must see!!!!
Loved it! Hilarious! Best zombie film although Resident Evil comes close
No,not what i thought it would be like, not my cup of tea but it maybe yours.
Funny with wit. Bill Murry part is fantastic
"You shot Bill Murray!" "Nut up or shut up." "You got a purty mouth!"
Hilarious movie. Woody Harrellson is king. I'll remember this one for a long time to come.
Very entertaining film. Fans of this genre won't be disappointed.
This has quite a few good actors in it. I watched it mostly because I like Emma Stone in Easy A and The Help. Wasn't overly excited by the movie. Few gory parts here and there. Found the whole Bill Murray thing amusing.
Love zombie movies.Thought Woody Harrelson made the movie great. A very underated actor.
plenty of good moments, but a bit of standard stuff in total. just a good laugh to watch, but not with the kids!
save yourself some time and don't bother, starts off with some gore, thats about it really-very very unmemorable tripe
One of the best movies I've ever seen.
Loved it. Well flimed. Writing on the board.
Double taps. Love the genre, waiting for a sequel.
Woody Harrelson rocks in this movie, good to see him back! Zombieland is gross but funny. My 12yr old son thinks its awesome,he doesnt shut up about it. I liked it
Not long enough, Bill Murry scene a must. Love the top ten approach.
Fun film although a little slow at the end. Good for a laugh or two.
funny movie great family film
A really funny and clever take on the zombie genre. The cameo from a particular actor is hilariously off-beat. Four very different actors in the principle rolls, and they were all great. And you really should take the seatbelt rule seriously!
Nowhere near as funny as i thought it would be. There were some funny bits, but not many laugh out load bits. All in all, lucky it was short because any longer and i would have wanted that time of my life back. 3 out of 5 stars.
Mixed reactions from viewers. Some thought it was boring, others thought it was ok. I liked the fact that they put a little humour in which made it a little different to other zombie movies. Good storyline.
Really different sort of movie with plenty of humour, despite the horrow theme.
One of the funniest Zombie comedy's ever! A bit of gore but wasn't that bad. Not really a horror though, and the Bill Murray part was awesome!
Zombieland is a very funny, cleverly executed take on the zombie theme. The nerdy hero has a set of rules for surviving the new zombie order which he applies as he travels across the country with another survivor and in and out of adventure with two sisters they find on the way. Bill Murray has a very funny cameo and the movie is very enjoyable all the way.
My family loved this. Not enough gore to be off putting and the humour is very dry. If you liked Shaun of the Dead you'll probably like this. Silly but that's why I liked it. Better than I expected. It is fun escapism with a bit or funny gore!
Exactly what it should be, a funny, stupid shoot em up that isn't too serious. Great movie!
Awesome, AWESOME movie. Literally 'killer dialogue'. Some of the best lines I've heard in years. Amazing cameo by Bill Murray. LOL funny and clever.
What a waste of money for a production!!! On the positive a gorry vivid imagination on movie graphics; but use this talent for tasteful productions instead.
The opener in this movie is grotesque and shocking, but hang in there, the humour is to come. The editing techniques in this movie are fast and edgy, with super slow cam to make the most of the zombie gorging horror. There's a light love story among the zombie gorging, but most of all its a movie about survival.
You'll love Woody Harleson, as he plays a super bad-ass character with soft heart and a strange obsession with Bill Murray.
I suggest watching this film with some mates and a pizza with super stringy cheese and salami, to re-create the zombie devouring moments!
Had a few funny bits but most of it was pretty boring and aimless. Only for those that are easily amused. There is pretty much no real plot in this movie. After watching it I though "What was the point in all that? What were they trying to achieve?". It's just about a group of 'survivors' trying to get from point A to B. That's it. I also found the 2 sisters annoying and the little one obnoxious. I can tell you I'd make more use of that shotgun if they tried to pull off the stuff they did to the 2 guys, to me! Wood Harrelson was also a bit too over the top and cliche for my liking.
Pretty disgusting but hilerious
A zombie road movie that is derivative and not particularly amusing. Sean of the Dead beats it hands down. You need to be brain dead to enjoy this one.
as a horror - zero, as a comedy - 4 stars. cracked up all the way through this. Very funny
funny ,but bit boring in parts
You will either love or hate this film. I loved it. The humour is dark
Why do I waste my time with this kind of Hollywood dross? Am I hoping (beyond hope) that a mass-market comedy would actually be funny? Nevertheless, despite the gross-out violence, this isn't shameless but actually attempts some "heart". But really the dialogue is too lame (and even the winking Bill Murray cameo goes on too long). But if it's your kind of thing...
I was expecting a stupid, comedy movie with lots of good one-liners. I was bored throughout and the Bill Murray scene was the only bit that was mildly funny. Not recommended.
This film is a good choice if you dont want to think too much and you want to have a good laugh. The zombie genre has been done to death lately but this was a witty, gory and humourous take on it. Woody Harelson is great as the red neck with a gun and the supporting cast hold there own. Worth a look.
Why did Bill Murray have to die? I liked this movie. If we are to be taken over by zombies, we need the ghost busters to suck the little buggers up. Where's Akroyd
i thought this movie would be stupid but its a very funny enjoyable movie
Fantastic. I have not laughed this hard in ages. The best zombie take off since Shaun of the Dead. Quick witted script, great cast, gratuitous gore and completely random acts of destruction. Everything one expects from a good zombie movie. Could watch this over and over again.
Great movie, great actors. Anyone who gives this less than 4 stars doesnt know what they are on about.
Most horror/comedys are horrible but this one suprises by being excellant. The world is over run by zombie and 4 surviors try to find shelter. Along the way they have to fight the undead. The acting is excellant with Harrelson showing he def was made into fit into a cowboy role and would look ace in an Akubra if they ever set another Zombieland in Australia. A pity they never had Twinkes in the Wild Wild West. The rest of the cast do equally as well. The direction is kinda odd with a very uneven balance of humor which doesnt always hit the mark and only does best when the horror is there. Some of the jokes are very stale and it could had used a tad more slapstick humor. The effects are well done with plenty of blood and gore plus some humerous zombie kills. A strange downbeat ending but a part 2 would be welcome if Harrelson is in it.
A lot of fun. Bill Murray is king!
Quite a funny and awesome movie
A well rounded comedy/horror movie that manages to keep great pace. Not fond of Jesse Eisenberg though. He seems to play the same character in all of the films he is in.
great movie, awesome scences. Funny too
Great movie, great comedy, but fell a bit short on the horror aspect. Good movie if you are looking for some laughs
Very funny and entertaining. Wil watch it again!
Great movie, very funny! Woody Harelson is great as the zombie hunter.
Real good movie, different but great.
What they tried to create was a zombie movie with comedy and some heart, they nailed it.
I could watch it again.
This Rom-Com-Zom (Romantic Comedy with Zombies) can stand up next to Shaun of the Dead with pride.
Woody Harrelson played his character wonderfully, but I found Jesse Eisenberg to be an odd choice. If you close your eyes and listen to him speak, he sounds exactly like Michael Cera, so why not just get Michael Cera to play the part. I kind of sat there thinking, "even if there was a zombie apocolypse, there's no way a hottie like Emma Stone is gonna get with him willingly". I thought Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin did a great job, I certainly didn't expect their cunning. I also loved the surprise celebrity cameo!
All in all, a fricken' awesome movie. It's definitely going in my favourites list!
I wasn't expecting anything great from this - an american attempt at Shaun of the Dead, with more gore. But it so wasn't. The gore in the opening titles threw me off a bit, but the rest of the movie was hilarious. Loved the "rules", reinforced throughout the film - my favourite "double tap". Cameo is hilarious.
FUNNY. Woody Harrelson FUNNY. Plot FUNNY. Acting good/FUNNY. Comedy FUNNY.
Best Movie Ever!
Zombie and comedy buffs, oh yes, this is good.
I dont even like gory movies but honestly the humour and cheesiness of this movie outwayed the gore and made it not too terrrible viewing. Just close your eyes for the gross bits!
Well, if this wasn't just the best surprise movie I've seen in a while. It is very clever in its use of visuals. The plot is light hearted which is strange as the newly formed gang customarily run straight of over the top of shortly dead human beings. Little Miss Sunshine is the best gun wielding 12 y.o. going around. All in all a very enjoyable watch.
Excellent Funny Film!!! Loved it from start to finish best Zombie flick in a long time very entertaining.
Jesse Eisenberg rocks this film all the way to the end. The other actors can only gaze at the trail he is blazing. Everyone else under performs in Zombieland so thank heavens for the zombies hey! Starts off well then really drags around the halfway mark, probably about the time that 'special guest' arrives!!! It's all downhill then with Eisenberg carrying the entire film on his skinny back, sticking to his 'rules' to save the day and gain the scary girl's lurve. A little lame but worth watching.
I wasn't sure if I would like this movie as I'm not a fan of horror but it was very funny and enjoyable (it's not really a horror movie at all). Woody Harrelson is great as the tough guy obsessed with killing zombies and Jesse Einsenburg plays the nerdy guy well. Very entertaining!
Nice enough movie, but not enough laughs or action to really keep me interested, and the attempts at drama just came off half-hearted- well, mostly, anyway. Woody's heartbreaking reveal about his "Puppy" got me, but little else did.
I was really looking forward to this but was ultimately disappointed overall. It starts out promising enough, but there is a 30min section in the middle of the film where there are not enough laughs and even less action. Once they get to Hollywood though, things lift again, and the last 20-30mins is terrific. Great cameo.
"The first rule of Zombieland: Cardio. When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons... were the fatties"
This is the funniest movie ever. Love it sooo much
This one is a no brainer, (get it? Zombie? Brains?) the movie is called Zombieland its not a clever trick, Zombies + Amusement Park. Its not the worst movie to spend 90 minutes on, its fun to a degeree but it dosent have any major laughs and i think that (besides Woody Harrelson) it is horribly mis cast. The Bill Murray chapter was along the right line but the rest of it is just purely average. If you want a comparison, for a Zombedy Shaun of the Dead is by far and away a superior movie. I also thought for a Zombedy the violence and gore was excessive, maybe they should have spent more time on the gags and less time on the effects and make up. Ultimately a little dissappointing.
Zombie movies aside, I am not a fan of horror. There is nothing scary about Zombieland - it's quite humourous in a cynical and violent way. A good laugh with a good mix of characters and their adventures. Nothing intellectually stimulating, but some good mindless (zombie) fun can be a good thing. Worth seeing.
I haven't laughed so much in a zombie movie in a long time.... Bill Murray's extended cameo is worth the price of admission alone. Which is not to say he is the best thing about the movie. The four leads are excellent and the laughs outnumber the headshots many times over. A bolt of zombie humour from the blue.
One of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. Not non-stop action so if you're looking for that then look elsewhere but there is plenty of action and gore to satisfy your basic need. Really easy to follow storyline and punchline after punchline.
This is one funny Movie it has to be the best Zombie comedy its a must watch for all Zombie Movie lovers out there.
Very, very funny! Well worth a watch.
got free tickets to this at the cinemas. best zombie movie i've ever seen. very funny.
