The Yellow Handkerchief (2008)

Great pick of actors to play the parts they did. Well done all. Lots in it about relationships, love, forgiveness, tolerance .I LOVED IT. I don't give 5 stars lightly. Take time to watch it and take it in and you will get a lot from it.

Some terrific performances lift this above the average.

Not my type of movie sorry

More enjoyable than expected, beautiful love story

Very slow beginning but persistence paid off and it became interesting and worth watching.

a good story - so I thought - it degenerated and I didn't bother finishing it - how can I write no stars? Thjis thing doesn't let you post unl;ess you put a star, but I mean that it didn't rate a star - disappointing as I like William Hurt.

I love William Hurt and he was great. Kristen Stewart was also good in her role, but I think it would have been a better movie without the Eddie Redmayne character. OK but much better movies out there.

This movie was a bit slow to start with, but after some persistence, was worth sitting through. Loved William Hurt! Would watch again and maybe get a bit more out of it!

An enjoyable story - three strangers on the road together - but I found the flashbacks of Brett's life a little annoying, maybe fewer would have been better. I can understand the director was trying to build tension/mystery but it didn't work. The actors all did a great job with what they were given. The other two main characters could have been built up more. Strangely I felt very let down by the ending

The beginning of this movie was different. Took a while to get into what was actually happening. It became interesting about half way through when I was captivated by the story line. Definately could watch this again.

just ok - low budget movie but has a good end

I enjoyed this movie but yes it is a little drawn out & slow moving BUT the storyline is a good one! William Hurt plays his part excellently as a man looking for his Wife/love after six years in jail. Kristen Stewart is also very good as a young troubled teen (though not sure about the southern drawl, a little grating). A good evenings viewing if you don't expect too much.

Quite a drawn out moive, so if you aren't in a hurry and have plenty of time, it will suit. It is a nice movie but could have been made much shorter.

A road trip through Louisiana transforms three strangers who were originally brought together by their respective feelings of loneliness. Slowly paced but has enough to keep your interest. William Hurt is great as always. Maria Bello, Kristen Stewart and Eddie Redmayne provide solid support.

I really enjoyed this movie, it was raw, funny, clever plot, sad...with a great ending

An ok movie if you have nothing to do

Yes, this was a slower paced movie but it was a movie with heart. It was about 3 misfits and their unintentional sojourn together towards a happier life and ultimately redemption. William Hurt's character in this movie is the rock the story is hinged upon and it is his struggle towards self-acceptance and forgiveness of self that draws the viewer in. His co-stars do a good job with their supporting roles and parallel stories and make it an all-round heartwarming movie.

If it wasn't for Kristen Stewart, I wouldn't have bothered with this one. I found it slow and boring.

This was a little slow at the start, but by the end I was in. I enjoyed this for what it was.
