Not my thing - very disappointing
Awful, awful, awful. If I were Sam Worthington I'd be embarrassed to have been associated with this piece of rubbish. An ancient greek boy who calls his father "Dad" - much too much colloquial language for me, just didn't fit the "ancient" mythology theme. Couldn't watch it past the first 20 minutes. Maybe it improved but I doubt it.
If you plenty of action you'll love this movie from start to finish
The special effects were good but the storyline was bad.
WOW Fantastic film great visual and special effects I could what this again and again
Not sure if the remake of Clash of the Titans is any good (have not seen it as love the original way too much!!) however if Wrath of the Titans is anything to go by I would guess not. All a bit boring for me not enough mythology - it did have some good effects but not enough to make the movie really interesting.
Gosh... it was awful. Nothing like Clash of the Titans, it was rushed and thoughtless. And ... why did every single person have a different accent..!? One of those that you cant help picking apart from the get-go...
For me, a disappointment after "Clash of the Titans", which I watched through twice before I sent it back. This movie was full of adventure and excitement, surely, and with great actors (will watch anything with Ralph Fiennes in it), however, the script....woeful. Quote of the film:
Hades says to his brother, "You look about 10,000 years younger!"
Zeus replies, "And I feel it too!"
...must be a movie for all ages, especially the younger generation.
If you liked "Clash of the Titans" and/or anything else in the genre, you will like this. Ignore the fact that there is little connection to "real" mythology and just enjoy the story and action. The special effects are pretty good as well.
Too long winded for me! Special effects were good but apart from that, nothing much really.
The family enjoyed it, was a bit of fun.
The first movie was much better than this one. This was disappointing. Thought it would be better. Watchable...
As most movies, not as good as first, but still a "not bad" mythical movie for the family to be able to sit and watch together.
Good follow up movie. If you watch it for what it is, a myth and a movie just meant to have great SFX and be fun, you won't be disappointed.
An ok movie, but killing all the gods off? You can't do that! :)
1st one smashed it. No 3rds please.
I own the first one. This one I would never watch again.
Typical mythological action film. Loved by all the family.
Much better than the first one. Impressive sfx!
Very good sequel. A bit overpowering with the special effects. Good, sitting on the edge of your seat, drama.
a movie for 12 year old boys.... and only 12 year old boys
this as far as i'm concerned this title is 'clash of the titans 2', in which case it's auto. 5 star rating and was just as good as first instalment. Recomended viewing for this genre
Actually didn't mind this didn't see the first one so couldn't compare was entertaining enough
Sam is the only thing worth watching this for :)
It was positively the worst movie EVER!
I didn't realise that this was a sequel until after I'd started watching it. Maybe that was why I didn't really get in to it - I didn't know the background... Either that or it just wasn't as good as the hype.
I was looking forward to this movie but unfortunately it doesn't measure up to my expectations.2.5 stars, will watch again just in case I was expecting too much.
Strategically placing enough 'good elements' and counterpoints into the mix, makes this movie a poor film that you won't hate.... which is weird. It's glib, it's trite, Sam Worthington's accent is jarring, the story is bad, the mythology is completely all over the place but the effects, the editing, the performances (from a bad script) from the supporting cast are great and no one 'bad element' goes on for long enough so you end up not contemplating how bad one thing or another might be about the film. In reality it’s a mixed bag, I didn't like the movie and it’s got just enough to not be disliked... but it is a bit uninspired.
Thank God..(or "Olympians" in this matter)...a sequel which is way better than its first!!
