A hilarious satire on the world of television, advertising, Hollywood and celebrity, Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? stars sex-pot Jayne Mansfield as sultry starlet Rita Marlowe, the role she made famous on Broadway. When ad-man Rockwell P. Hunter (The Odd Couple’s Tony Randall) senses a way to save the Stay-Put Lipstick account—and boost his stocks in the advertising game—little does he know the lengths (or depths) his scheme will take him to. When he hits upon the perfect spokesmodel, the last thing he expects is for her to hit on him in return. The vapid Rita wants to make her boyfriend jealous, and Rock Hunter is the perfect foil—except he already has a fiancée. Hunter’s career rockets with the blonde bombshell on his arm, but he finds the road to the top isn’t the only thing with dangerous curves…

A 1950s spoof on the TV advertising business. It's worth seeing if you like the old-time comedies.
