Prison escapee Trevor Finch (Christian Slater) assumes the identity of a deceased man, Cletis Tout, but soon discovers that someone had put out a hit on Cletis. Now, as Finch and fellow escapee Micah (Richard Dreyfuss) race to recover Micah's hidden diamonds, they must outrun not only the police but hit man Critical Jim (Tim Allen), as well! Portia de Rossi plays Finch's girlfriend, Tess, in this caper comedy.

Enjoyable movie, held together by a brilliant comic performance by Tim Allen. The storyline is far fetched and ridiculous at times, that aside it is still a funny movie.

Knockout comedy thriller with really quirky characters, particularly Jim Allen as Critical Jim, the killer with a love of movies. Watch for Billy Connolly in an hilarious bit part as a coroner. I loved this from beginning to end.

Good concept, well executed with lots of movie references. One or two contrived plotting devices let the movie down a shade but overall a good product.

Poorly acted, predictable plot, unrealistic. Tim Allen was unconvincing as a hit man, and Portia De Rossi in one of her weakest roles yet I think.
