It had been a year since Dr. Norman Spencer (Harrison Ford) betrayed his beautiful wife Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer). But with Claire oblivious to the truth and the affair over, Norman's life and marriage seems perfect - so perfect that when Claire tells him of hearing mysterious voices and seeing a young woman's ghostly image in their home, he dismisses her mounting terror as delusion. However, as Claire moves closer to the truth, it becomes clear that this apparition will not be dismissed, and has come back for Dr. Norman Spencer...and his beautiful wife. A spellbinding supernatural thriller, WHAT LIES BENEATH marks the first pairing of superstars Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford, teaming them with Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis.

This is an excellent movie with a good cast, Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer played their parts superbly and if you enjoy heart stopping suspense with a great story line then this is one movie you must watch. It is well written and not predictable like most thrillers. A movie that gets you involved right from the beginning it gets your heart thumping and has you holding your breath wishing it would hurry up and finish so that you could get back to a normal existance again.

Very scary, but sometimes very predictable. The dead bad guy ALWAYS stands up at least twice. Why is that? Enjoyed it anyway.

This movie is such great fun and visually quite enjoyable. The subtle mocking of the leads' (Ford et al) upper middle class lifestyle makes it all the more enjoyble as their world falls apart. The ending with its emphasis on supernatural intervention was plainly ridiculous but hey its great fun nevertheless.

Scared the #$%^ out of us! The plot had you guessing, so this is a great thriller. Perhaps we should have watched this on the small screen - we may not have been spooked so much.

No bad, but not worth queueing for. A three star for the special effects but very predictable.
