When you have a fairytale story you've already got the audience won over. Why does Hollywood have to completely blow it by having clich?d, spoilt, boring characters being rude to each other?Disappointed again.

Two things that suprised me about this movie: he didn't have his chest waxed like a Ken doll and she didn't have silicone implants like a Barbie. So despite being predictable and pretty lame (the bumbling Englishmen and the whole plot set up, really) it deserves a few stars for having a cast who look like real humans (on the good-looking end of the spectrum) as opposed to the highly manicured and plasticky commercial movie stars you often see - for example Justin Timberland and Mila Kunis in the sick-inducing Friends with Benefits. Still not great though.

Loved this movie. Okay, so it's a little predictable and maybe not so realistic but it's a lovely movie which I enjoyed from start to end. I've seen this twice now since it's release. I'm sure I'll be watching it again - especially to see the hunky Dermot Mulroney again, yum!

Dermot Mulroney... Mmm, mmm, mmm! Debra Messing was also perfectly cast, as was the support cast.
Funny movie with several laugh-out-load moments with just as many tear-jerkers.
Have seen this brilliant chick-flick many times and might even get a copy for my permanent DVD collection.

Yep, not a winner at all. A few degrees of separation: Dermot played a hooker....he was in 'My Best Friend's Wedding' with Julia Roberts....who played a hooker in "Pretty Woman'.....they should have left the 'hooker' role with Julia....much more 'entertaining'! A waste of film, this one. Oh well.

I liked this movie. It is a light-hearted movie you can watch on a lazy weekend and be glad you did. I think it is best described as: Notting Hill meets My Best Friends Wedding meets Pretty Woman. Not a bad movie all round even though you can guess the ending.

I just loved this movie 'for the girls'! It was a very enjoyable romantic comedy with lots of amusing moments and some meaningful family issues. The love story was very moving and I felt that this movie had everything! Dermot Mulrooney looked wonderful which helped.

My name is Kat too, in the featurette Deborah Messing says this is just a small budjet movie, but really the story and emotion in this movie is there for anyone having problems with their sister or boyfriend. It's a feel good movie for someone who really wants to beleive that their life can change over night. And more than likely this movie will give you the feeling that the main actress playing Kat is just about the most likeable person. If you don't have to higher expectation. I really enjoyed it.
